Faux Water Channel Object + Matching Water Terrain Paint.
One thing i miss most about The Sims 3 was the houseboats. So to bring a little decorative ocean magic to TS4 i decided to whip up a quick ‘Faux Houseboat water Set’ that includes 2 items that will help give the appearance of a connected ‘water channel’ to a lots outside water source.
This set includes 2 items. A basic mesh water ‘channel’ that connects your lot to an outside water source + a matching water terrain paint.
Using the two togeather you can simulate a water connection to an outside stream and therefore build houseboat style houses that have a realistic surrounding appearance.
The object has been made to fit perfectly in the back corner of the ‘Twin Oracle Point’ lot in Newcrest (see pictures for placement guide)
This is just a decoration for fun and to hopefully spark some inspiration to builders and players to make some kick ass houseboat style lots.
The Terrain can be found under the Terrain Paint category in build mode.
The mesh channel can be found under Sculptures or by simply searching ‘channel’ or ‘a3ru’ in buy mode.
Make sure you tag me in pics if you use this set. I’d love to see the lots you guys come up with.
You will need to enable moveobjects to place the channel object.
