Not just for kids because I love this too - very calming like the meditation jars here.This is the closest “recipe” I’ve seen to mimicking the expensive wave machines and the simplest.

HOW TO
Ocean in a bottle. Inspiration came from bhoomplay.You need:transparent plastic bottle, filled 1/3 up with waterblue food colouringsunseed oil ( or similar) to fill the rest of the bottlemaybe some seashells, stones, fishes in plastic, we used small ocean themed plastic beadsThe oil and water does not mix, the oil creates slow waves in the water when you turn it back and forth. No need to say: A loved it, and L spied after all the small fishes and seashells. I love this kind of crafting, super easy, cheap and lots of fun.
