i still firmly stand behind the belief that if tony had to die - it had to be the last ditch option. off the top of my head i can think of 5 other scenarios in which tony could’ve lived and the story could have come to a satisfying end without ruining every single character that the mcu has ever produced in the process - and the sheer laziness of writing in tony’s death because the writers couldn’t be fucked to give his character a proper send off irks me
1. Carol could’ve wielded the gauntlet
2. Various avenues could’ve allowed Loki to rejoin the fight
3. The Avengers could have used the gauntlet gotg style
4. Nebula could’ve gotten the revenge she DESERVED
5. Various avenues could have introduced the Eternals
killing tony was LAZY writing. its an insult to rdj, who has spent years cultivating this character, its an insult to jon favreau - who fought for iron man to launch the mcu, and its an insult to fans who have waited an entire decade for the culmination of these films

Some people can be easily tormented just by being wrong. Just say the most inane and obviously factually incorrect thing you can think of, in full confidence, and they won’t be able to resist the urge to correct you. Then you just blink like you don’t understand what being corrected means, and approach the entire matter like a difference in opinion.
Then just wrangle with them by force - still smiling, you’re only having a nice conversation! :) - until either they get so angry about you being so fucking stupid that they say it out loud, and you can tattle them for bullying :( or they’ll spend the rest of their lives being forced to live in a world where they were forced to Agree To Disagree about whether there are saunas in Russia, whether the soviet space dog ever landed on the moon, whether Hitler was alive during the 16th century, or whether dolphins are just female sharks. Or whether anyof that should be considered “common knowledge”.

imo Loki (2021) only confirmed that both men and women have tried to date him in the hopes of becoming a prince or princess consort for him, and getting power in the Asgardian society. Loki clearly brushes them all off by saying those potential matches weren’t “real”. So as much as I’d love for them to confirm bi!Loki, this episode ain’t it.
