been a while since i drew any yautja! here is my big yautja oc, ankiethia. he is the leader of an isolated tribe called the stranded isle. he’s a real rowdy guy and knows how to party!! he does wear body paint, which i haven’t depicted here and will in his ref.. later. whenever i get around and to that.
finished this yesterday! been slow with personal work, as i’ve been mostly focused on commissions (and still am lol). fortunately, i’ve got some time on my hands now and that means it’s back to creating ☺️
edaxtrus veil, the primary antagonist of the ekanox. i wanted to make some slight changes to his design, this was intended more as a texture study than a proper ref sheet, which i hope to complete.. eventually. as i work on the main plot of the story behind the scenes, edaxtrus has become a significant character in the story. in time i will be sharing more about the story with you all, including the pilot script!
SARETHUS back from the con and back to drawing! let’s welcome a new monster to my growing mythos of beasts! his reference is still in progress, but this is sarethus. he is cosmic entity inspired by traditional medieval creatures and eldritch monsters!
(( merman!beta in light of mermay. he’s based on a sea serpent and a half moon betta fish! he’s a big fella that dwells around the deep coast surrounding an island of his own, wearing the skull of another mercreature as a mask. ))
ohh look at that it’s monstermay AND mermay! so why not bring the two together? here is an oc i’ve had for a while, but haven’t gotten around to properly drawing until now.
risodonth is an ancient, dragon-like entity that lives in a vast, ruined city beneath the surface of the deep ocean. it is believed that he was once the ruler of the fabled city of atlantis, but that’s merely speculation among monster fanatics. nobody knows if he truly exists.. or at least that was so until an unfortunate deep water expedition team uncovered a strange temple, one still filled with air and riches.. and an unhappy elder beast.
not much to say here.. just a fun light study featuring thistle in between other work. i always enjoy taking a step back from things and practicing my skills every now and again!
though, i don’t think thistle is appreciative of getting zombie blood on his cape.. :P
