Okay lemme just talk about this scene for a second:
Mike watched El get hurt and thrown around by Billy and the FIRST THING he does when it’s safe is run to her to see if she’s still alive. No one else matters in that moment and Mike’s completely focused on holding El, alive, in his arms.
And the moment he arrives to her, SHES the one who asks if he’s okay. As if she hadn’t been thrown around.
This small moment just captures so much of their dynamic. The idea that Mike always has and always will consider el to be a human first, and El’s caring nature, especially toward him, wants to make sure he’s safe too.
And just the physical touch they both NEED to validate that they’re both still alive and present in the moment.
Just some late night mileven thoughts cause I miss them so much and I just want them back
Kaz and Inej wouldn’t have biological kids, they would just keep running Ketterdam and gradually adopt more and more strays with nowhere to go until they have little kids and teenagers just hanging from the rafters and climbing walls with rubber shoes and learning slight of hand and picking locks and tightrope walking across buildings and they would terrorize everyone all the time
…and someone would say, “Brekker, how many children do you even have” and Kaz would look them dead in the eye and say “I have no idea what you’re talking about” as a boy hangs from the ceiling upside-down holding a deck of cards calling “Dad! DAAD! Pick a carrrddad!”
