Gluttony,, made this design last night, some lore under the cut:
-giant. huge. big boy. 15ft
-does have legs
-Gluttony was once a powerful and respected king. his hunger drove him to push his people into pillaging neighboring kingdoms, eventually building a vast empire, but when that wasn’t enough, he depleted all the resources both of the court and empire. he is rumored to have had a family, whom he ate in a flare of hunger. the validity of this rumor is in the air, but there are records of cannibalism in Gluttony’s court.
-in actuality, Gluttony is the head/weapon. the armor is gluttony’s former body, but it’s been reduced to a vassal with no significant value. if you remove the helmet, there’s no head inside.
-with that in mind, the shield seems useless, no? nope. the head latches onto the victim and the body then pulls it in and impales them on the shield. that is, if there’s a necessity for a more solid kill. usually the head will just eat whatever is in front of it whole.
-at some point, so far back it’s no longer memory, the head and the body were one. but when the need to consume kept growing, Gluttony wanted to be able to fit more and more into its mouth. his head grew to a point where it was no longer proportionate to the body. nobody knows if the head simply plopped off or if it was cleaved off- and if so, by who
-armor is scalding to the touch. runs very hot
-the hilt/handle for the head is actually what was salvaged of Gluttony’s pre-decapitation weapon: the cleaver
-the head is rumored to have once had the capacity to talk, but hunger has driven it mad
