Pennywise Ask # 12 - Memories of Bradley Gang
He’s being ironic. He just likes chaos.
When I was at university last night, whilst my mother and daughter was home alone. Someone tried to break into our home by jamming a metal thing in the door and frame of door, while slamming his body weight into the door. Thankfully they were not asleep yet because it was just after 8pm. My mum told me when she went into the hallway to see what was happening, she saw the dark figure at the door with his hood on and slamming his weight against the door and the door was slowly giving way. Frightened my mother switch on the lights and shouted through the door which frighten him and he ran off. Fifteen minutes later I came walking up to the door (one of my class was cancelled) and I can see the gap in the door, tried to open the door; but due to his behaviour, the door was jammed and could not be opened from outside or in, even when we our slammed into it.
I had to knock on my neighbour on my left hand side, go through their house, through their garden, over the fence and through my backdoor to get in. We called the Police but because it was not an emergency, we waited a couple of hours for them to turn up. Then they proceeded to break down the door. Thankfully they made sure our door was sorted before they left us. We were advise to get more locks for our door and even get a dummy camera; but I just ordered a real CCTV camera with DVR so that I can record anything happening in front of my door and the back yard.
This incident have caused the mother and daughter and when I got into the house, my mother was shaking and stress out; my daughter was crying and scared. Even this morning we refuses to stay in a room by herself.
I am just thankful that they were not asleep, because if he got in when they were asleep, what would have happened.
I am suffering just like everyone else, I am a single mother, I have debts I am trying to clear, plus save to buy my own home but yet, there are certain people in life who just want to take what little you work hard for.
I am so angry right now, this is the first time in my life I wish I owned a gun. (and if you knew me, you would know how I feel about this). I also decided I am getting a machete and baseball bat for my home.
