Steve Ann, a very talented animator who was an assistant director on Korra and a director on Voltron, produced an original animated short with the help of some other awesome Korra/Voltron crew friends of ours. Steve did all the animation by himself…! It’s incredible… He launched a KickStarter so they can make additional episodes. I went to the launch party and that’s where we took this blurry photo.
Progress update!
-Clean Up is pretty much done, just needs tweaks.
-4 BG’s left.
-248 scenes composited out of 330.
After that, just need audio mixing & editing. Sorry we haven’t announced a release date yet but we just want to be 100% sure. Stay tuned. Thank you all!

Compositing is underway! Our buddy Trevor Von Klueg is hooking us up with some amazing shading and effects! Things are getting down to the wire here. 5 years of work and its nearly completed. Stay tuned!

LONG GONE GULCH SPEED DRAWING!
Wanted to try one of these, sort of as something we can do every now and then to keep things going in between updates. Right now we’re still hard at work, not much to report besides that stuff is getting done. Let us know what you think! Program is Flash CC 2015.

Our first animator feature is the insanely talentedZeurel, who mainly works with Studio Yotta & Pencilmation. He loves to animate manic scenes and pushing expressions to the extreme. He also does various work for games and youtube channels such as Riot games and Lab Zero for Indivisible and has hosted his own “re-animate” project of the Dover Boys. He has also worked as lead animator for Too Loud on Dreamworks TV and many other secret things.

Keys being done, animation getting worked on, clean up, backgrounds, color, compositing, music all being worked on at the same time…sleep being lost. We’re more focused than ever this year. Stay tuned for more updates and fun stuff this week, Gulchfolk!
