i can’t believe i never posted this on here but-
In the Chocolatier Macaque AU. Macaque and Wukong are typically in their human glamours.
and. despite the fact that MK pretty much very quickly figured out Macaque. it takes him forever to figure out Wukong.
In fact, he only puts two and two together when Macaque forcibly kicks Wukong out of the shop while muttering “stupid monkey”
at which point MK has every single interaction he’s had rush through his mind (rambling about Monkey King whilst horribly pretending that he absolutely wasn’t the Monkey King’s successor, for one), and is just like “wait. wait.”
MK:ApricotisMonkey King????
Macaque:HE CALLED HIMSELF APRICOT??
Macaque allows MK to confront Wukong about this in his store- Wukong looks at him with an expression of Utter Betrayal and Macaque literally has to hold on to the edges of the counter to keep himself from falling to the floor as he laughs
Wukong, picking up a box of peach chocolates: just for that. i’m not gonna pay for these.
Macaque:like you ever payed for them anyways????
Wukong:before it was because it was funny, now im doing it out of spite
Macaque;I-
Wukong:also i did pay before, for your information.
Macaque:Wukong this is money made out of your own hair
Wukong:you can sell it online for a few thousand bucks
