Making profiles for all my DA OCs and I decided these 3 should be together

Yvette is an Orlesian noble who ran away from home because she didn’t want to marry the man her father had picked for her. Her brother is a Chevalier and the two were very close. He helped her escape, and is also the one she misses the most. She went to Kirkwall, got hit very hard by the reality of not having money or any skills that can earn a living and ended up working at the Blooming Rose out of desperation. She excelled at the job and became one of the most well known and desired workers.

Yvette is very convinced she’s hetero and, while she doesn’t mind sleeping with women, she says she’d never be in a relationship with one.

Jane is a girl from a very broken family from Kirkwall. She ran away from her abusive mother and spent some years living on the streets of Darktown, before Yvette met her and offered her a job at the Blooming Rose. After an incident with a male client she started working exclusively with women and Yvette made sure she’s not harassed by anyone about it. Jane is very deeply in love with Yvette but hides it, thinking she isn’t romantically attracted to women. The two live together in Lowtown and are extremely close but not ‘together’.

At some point Yvette pity-fucks Samson  and consequently gets pregnant. She doesn’t tell anyone besides Jane it’s Samson’s because ‘who’d want him as a father’ and the two raise her daughter together.

Samantha (Sam) is Yvette’s daughter. She was born and raised in Kirkwall, mostly spending her time in the Rose, sometimes helps as a server or whatever job they can find for a kid. She’s her mother’s exact opposite and is much more interested in being a warrior than a lady and looks up to the templars. She’s also a big headache for her mother, constantly running off and getting into trouble, so their relationship is rather strained.

After the Chantry explosion life becomes much more difficult. The trio lose their home and can barely make ends meet for a while. When the Inquisition forms, Jane manages to, with a lot of effort, convince Yvette that they should leave Kirkwall and join as seamstresses or kitchen workers. Yvette is again taken from a place she mattered and thrown into unfamiliar poverty, but as the Inquisition grows they all end up finding their place

Class:Rogue

Specialization:Assasin

Romanced: The Iron Bull and Krem

Alignment: Chaotic Evil

Phi’s parents died when she was too young to remember them and was raised mainly by the clan’s Keeper. She was never an outgoing child and had a difficult time connecting with others, but that didn’t stop her from being the biggest troublemaker in the clan. The only elf she was close with from the clan was the Keeper’s First, who told her stories and showed her magic. Phi was fascinated by the magic the First showed her and for a while wished she was a mage. That wish died along with her friend after an incident with a demon and made her develop a huge fear of anything related to the fade, but her curiosity didn’t go away

Being taken as a hostage after the conclave explosion and pushed into dealing with sealing rifts was pretty much her worst nightmare come to life and she responded with a lot of anger and making it very very difficult for everyone around to deal with her. Being called Herald of Andraste pissed her off even more. The only thing keeping with the Inquisition was the horror of no one else being able to stop the demons pouring out of the sky

The title of Inquisitor was much more to her liking. She was given power and people respected and listened to her, so she took advantage of that to do what /she/ thought was right. Her bad temper, rash decisions and sometimes violent methods didn’t sit well with everyone, but she wasn’t particularly concerned with anybody’s opinion. She wanted to destroy every constitution that held power over others, so the chantry, circles and the Orlesian Empress had to go

Solas was the first person she trusted (because he wasn’t human) and had a close relationship with so she took his betrayal /very/ personally

The Iron Bull is the only one who can subdue Phi’s anger and channel it into other activities and the only one who’s opinion could make her reconsider after they got closer (not always but better than not at all)

Class: Mage but hides it as much as possible, so officially Rogue

Specialisation: Blood Magic

Romanced: Anders (Rivalmance)

Alignment: Neutral Evil

Jon is extremely self-centered, cares mainly for his own wellbeing and for the people he considers close (again in a selfish way). He’s mostly an ass, would do pretty much anything for money and to survive, so he’s extremely good at lying, cheating and fighting dirty. He’s been hiding his magic since he was a child, his father taught him how and he’s gotten exceptionally good at it. Because of this he learned how to fight very well with daggers (and packs a real good punch, he’s pretty beefy)

He ends up having a fling with Anders, who wants to make it serious but Jon has commitment issues and also Anders pisses him off a lot with his altruistic actions (and that makes Jon fall for him more). So their relationship is essentially a lot of angry fucking at first, but ends up deepening. They’d both call it “pretty complicated”.

Out of his companions, he gets along with Varric and Isabela the most. He has a big soft spot for Merril, and gets along with Fenris and Aveline mainly because he’s good at lying to them. His relationship with Carver is also complicated, but they do get along

During the fight with the Arishok, he’s nearly killed and ends up using blood magic for the first time to win and suddenly realizes how useful it can be. Obviously he doesn’t tell anyone, even though some of his closest people find out soon after. Naturally, it causes a huge argument with Anders.

He would have supported the Templars, but Meredith was at that point very suspicious of him and his temper boiled over, so he sides with the mages just to spite her. After the battle he leaves Kirkwall with Anders.

Class:Mage

Specialization: Blood Magic

Romanced:Jowan

Alignment:Chaotic Evil

Whenn’s sister, who got taken to the Circle at age 7. She was born with a male body and always knew it wasn’t right, but explaining that to the adults at the alienage as a child was beyond her abilities, so when she was taken to the Circle she introduced herself as a girl and started living as one. Passing before puberty wasn’t a problem, but, knowing what happens during it, she began studying healing magic and reading anything related to the body she could find. In the end, she found a way to manipulate her hormone production and used this magic to develop the way she desired.

As she grew older, she started being increasingly frustrated at how much the Circle limits mages, not only with their personal freedom, but with the kind of magic that’s taught. While she was often deemed too ambitious and too curious, the Grand Enchanter was very impressed by her skill and lets her rebellious outbursts slide more often than not.

When her best friend Jowan escapes using blood magic, she takes the opportunity and follows him out. In the chaos, the two get separated. She spends the next few months on the run from the Circle, successfully killing the patrol of templars sent after her and destroys her phylactery. Her and Jowan end up running into each other again near Redcliffe but are promptly attacked by darkspawn. While fighting them off, one manages to slice Carmen’s face badly enough that it would be lethal, had Jowan not used blood magic to heal the wound.

Carmen is amazed at the discovery that blood magic can be used in such ways and makes it her goal to learn as much as possible about it. Her and Jowan stick together through the Blight and continue living as apostates afterwards
