This monthly column, “Junko Sophie’s Hidden Kyoto Vol.8“, has just been released! Junko’s essays are presented in Japanese, English, Chinese and starting from this month also in French.
In this December issue, Junko shares with us the year-end traditions and gastronomy of Kyoto in her essay, titled “Ma, the Sense of Empty Space.” Her column features her heart-warming winter Kimono worn in the oldest shrine in Kyoto and a special traditional sweet that can be eaten only in front of the shrine.
