Hawthorn bushes belong to the same scientific family as roses. You can see it in the way they carry their harm on their stems, a plant that never learned the lesson of consecrating your weapons. Bright red blooms and haw berries make mirrors of themselves, killing as much as they heal. The brilliance of falling in love with the blonde-haired woman lies within the hurt of a hawthorn bush, the prick of blood masked by the euphoria in her kiss. She wraps me in sticky sweet petals, encasing me in amber adoration and offers me up to the gods above, burning our ties and letting the smoke carry me into the heavens.
“Emily Prentiss is a lesbian” as soon as I finish the sentence, a screammakes it’s way to my ears
“YES SHE IS!” The crowd parts ways and she appears in the middle like a deity, her beautiful hair eyes stand out in the crowd and I know I’ve heard that voice before. It’s Emily Prentiss herself, Paget Brewster.
“THE CBS WERE COWARDS!” She adds loudly, the crowd stays silent for a few seconds, processing her words until they all erupt in cheers, aplauding her, they grab her by her arms and legs and lift her in the air as her body flies through the people cheering her on

“Please, call me JJ,” she said. This time the radiance of her smile was directed solely at Emily. It was almost too much to handle.
“Emily. It’s a pleasure to meet you all,” Emily replied, speaking mostly to JJ. There was something utterly captivating in the way she spoke, her words sweet but sincere. They had an undercurrent of weariness though, something that seemed all the more obvious when JJ’s smile dropped.
