“Hey, have you heard from Y/N lately? I know she went home to Florida for a vacation since she was off for a few weeks, but she hasn’t been answering any of my texts lately,” Jared asked as he stepped inside Jensen’s trailer after a long day of shooting. Jensen smirked at his friend as he scrubbed his freshly washed hair down with a towel.

“She’s probably ignoring you after that last prank you did before she left,” he said with a chuckle. Jared frowned at Jensen, dropping on his couch with a frustrated huff.

“How was I supposed to know she was scared of thunder and lightning? I mean, she’s a mature adult. People usually grow out of that once they hit double digits,” Jared muttered under his breath. He stuffed his hands inside the front pocket of his hoodie and pouted, leaning his head back against the couch so he could stare at the ceiling. Jensen threw the damp towel over the door to his small bathroom then joined him on the couch.

“Speaking of thunder and lightning,” Jensen muttered as a low rumble of continuous thunder echoed in the distance. “I’m glad they canceled the rest of tonight’s shooting. It would have been a bitch to try and deal with this storm on top of everything else we had to do.”

Jared hummed his mutual agreement. Jensen looked thoughtfully at him and recognized the look in his eyes. Jared was feeling guilty for unintentionally hurting Y/N and was starting to take her radio silence a little too personally. Jensen sighed. When Jared got this way, it could go dark fast.

“Alright, Jay,” Jensen said, affectionately patting the big guy on the chest with a big hand. “Let’s go.”

“Go where?” Jared asked, watching as Jensen started to put on his tennis shoes.

“We’re gonna go head over to Y/N’s and see if she’s back yet,” Jensen said. Jared looked at him like he was crazy.

“What? Why?” Jared asked. Jensen reached over to grab his wallet and keys.

“One, because she should have been back by now anyway. Two, because you are getting all broody and that shit is best left to Sam… Not you. And three, because I said so. Now, get up. Let’s go,” Jensen said, slapping Jared’s knee. Jared made a keening sound, shaking his head. “Hey. Don’t make me treat you like one of my kids. Get your ass up.”

With a frustrated huff, Jared hauled himself to his feet and obediently followed Jensen out the door. The two made it to Jensen’s truck just as the rain started to come down. The frequent lightning was bright enough to light up the sky, the arcs dancing between the overhead clouds in sharp angles. Jared stared out the passenger window morosely as Jensen carefully drove down the dreary streets of Vancouver to the small apartment that Y/N rented, hoping she was there and they could talk.

The next flash of lightning had Y/N gripping the armrests even tighter than before. It seemed impossibly bright even with the shades drawn. The thunder seems so much louder up here, she thought miserably, squeezing her eyes shut and forcing herself to take a slow deep breath.

“The storms are so much scarier when we’re flying,” she heard the passenger behind her whisper. No shit, she thought harshly. She reluctantly opened her eyes and glanced around herself; thanking God once again, she willingly paid the money for a first-class seat back to Vancouver from Florida. The extra room made her feel less claustrophobic, the attendants were more tactful on how to handle her, and there was free alcohol.

A lot of free alcohol.

She reached over, picked up the glass of vodka and soda with a shaking hand, and brought it to her lips, taking a giant sip. The female attendant chose then to come to check on her.

“Another vodka soda, ma’am?” she asked politely. Y/N finished the one she had and carefully held it out to the attendant.

“With lime, please,” she said quietly. Undoubtedly hearing the twinge of genuine fear in Y/N’s soft voice, the attendant knelt down beside her. Concern colored her pleasant expression when she got close.

“Are you okay?” she asked. Just then, another hearty round of thunder echoed through the plane, causing Y/N to jump slightly.

“Just… not a big fan of storms is all,” she said nervously with a tight smile. The attendant nodded, undoubtedly understanding.

“I’ll get you another drink then,” she said soothingly. Y/N mumbled a thank you before leaning back in her plush leather seat and desperately trying to calm her racing heart. The attendant returned with her drink, gently pressing it in her hand. The cold glass grounded Y/N a bit.

“We’re landing in twenty minutes,” the attendant said. “We’re almost there.”

Y/N nodded her thanks and took a heavy sip from her glass. Less soda, more vodka. God bless the attendant. The alcohol burned fiercely down her throat but hopefully would calm her frayed nerves. Just then, the plane bounced around through a mess of turbulence. Y/N cursed under her breath and prayed to just be on the damn ground already.

“She’s not home yet,” Jensen said. “Which is weird because I thought her flight got in at three.”

“It’s seven now,” Jared said, looking at his watch. He turned and looked out the window of the building. The rain was coming down in sheets, and the storm was starting to rage on. “What do you want to do?”

“I don’t know, grab dinner I guess?” Jensen said with a shrug. “We’re over here on the east side, might as well take advantage of it.”

“So, what you’re saying is you wanna go hit that taco place,” Jared said with a wry grin. Jensen smiled indulgently.

“There was a reason Y/N picked this place, and it wasn’t just because of the cheap rent,” he said, turning away from the front door and heading back toward the private elevator. Jared followed, shaking his head.

“Plus, it’s Thursday, which means pitchers of margaritas are half off!” Jensen said cheerfully.

“This is the real reason you wanted to come out this way, isn’t it? It had nothing to do with checking on Y/N at all,” Jared said with a pout. The two entered the elevator, and Jared pushed the button for the first floor.

“No, I do want to find out how she’s doing. Tacos and margaritas are a welcome bonus,” Jensen said seriously. “She shouldn’t be ignoring your calls.”

The plane bounced on the landing, finally out of the sky and on the ground. The shaky breath that Y/N released took all the tension in her shoulders with it. Between being on the ground and those extra drinks the attendant got her, she felt much calmer.

That was until the thunder snapped outside the plane and rumbled deep in her chest.

I swear to God, I can’t fucking win today, she thought bitterly to herself as rubbed her forehead. She was getting in late because she missed her connection. She missed her connection because her first flight was severely delayed. Her first flight was severely delayed because there were geese on the runway.

Geese.

Fucking Geese.

Welcome to Florida.

If she had made her first connecting fight, she would have been in her apartment and not in a plane when the storm hit. Which meant she would have been able to take one of her meds, go to sleep and wake up the next day and never even know about the terrible storm. Instead, she was a little drunk on a plane that just landed in the middle of the storm.

Once the plane was finally at the gate, she unbuckled her seatbelt and stood to get her things. Whoa, she thought as she swayed a little. She blinked her eyes a few times to get the world to stop spinning before reaching up into the bin to grab her backpack. Looks like I need to add getting home safely to my list as well.

“Thank you for flying with us, have a safe trip home,” the attendant said as she walked by her. Y/N looked at her with a meaningful expression.

“Thank you,” she said sincerely. The attendant smiled knowingly and nodded her head in understanding again. Y/N turned and walked slowly up the walkway, jumping and cringing every time the thunder rolled. Off to find her luggage.

“Hour wait time,” Jared said grimly, as he walked back to Jensen with a small disc in his hand. Jensen frowned.

“An hour?” he questioned. Jared merely nodded.

“Apparently those half-off pitchers are quite popular,” Jared said with a smirk. Jensen sighed and looked at his watch.

“Okay. We can wait a bit and see if it moves faster,” he said. The two sat down on a bench and waited.

Y/N grabbed her luggage and walked outside to where the serviceman pointed. Eagerly reading the signs, she saw the section where taxi pick up was located happened to be ahead of her… and she had to cross three driveways to get to it. The fierce wind was whipping the rain around, cold droplets seeping into her jeans and sweatshirt. Just then, a brilliant flash of lightning streaked across the sky, and moments later a loud crash of thunder struck.

Y/N found herself frozen in place, eyes clenched closed and breath held. Once she could breathe again, she shook her head. Nope, she thought miserably. She turned right around and walked back into the airport. Finding a bench as far away from the front doors as she could, she set her damp things down and sat next to them.

Then she pulled out her phone.

Jared and Jensen were chatting when Jensen’s phone rang. Jensen pulled it out of his pocket and looked surprised.

“It’s Y/N,” he said. Jared’s eyebrows when up.

“Hey! We were just at your place looking for you,” Jensen said as he answered his phone.

“Yeah, I’m not there,” Y/N answered. Jensen chuckled.

“Where’s she at?” Jared asked. Jensen glanced at him.

“Yeah, we figured that out ourselves. Where are you?” he asked.

“At the airport. It’s a long story. Are you on set right now?” Y/N asked. A loud clap of thunder hit and Y/N jumped, almost cursing out loud.

“She’s at the airport,” Jensen answered Jared. “No, they shut us down because of this crazy storm. Jay and I are at Abuela’s, waiting for a table.” Y/N did curse out loud then.

“Does she need a ride?” Jared asked. Jensen impatiently waved his hand at him, while Jared made a gesture encouraging him to ask Y/N.

“I don’t want to interrupt your dinner. You guys go eat,” Y/N said.

“It’s cool, we’re still waiting. It’s like an hour wait. Do you need a ride? We can come to get you,” Jensen asked. Jared was already walking the pager back up to the hostess stand and explaining they had to leave. Jensen stood and instantly pulled his keys out of his pocket. “You know what? We’re already on our way. Give us like, twenty minutes. We can meet you at arriving flights.”

“Thank you,” Y/N breathed. Once she hung up her phone, she stuffed it in her pocket. She then pulled her suitcase close to her, bent her arms on top of it, and lay her head down. She hid her face from view. She wasn’t worried about people recognizing her so much as her not being able to control her emotions given the situation.

Approximately 22 minutes later, she felt someone gently rubbing her arm. She looked up and saw Jared crouched in front of her with a gentle smile on his face.

“Hey bug,” he said. A relieved sigh escaped her as she went to stand.

“Oh, thank God,” she breathed, wobbling on her feet. Jared steadied her.

“You okay there?” he asked with a chuckle.

“Heavy on the vodka, light on the soda while flying home,” she replied meekly, readjusting her backpack. Jared grabbed the handle of her suitcase and wrapped an arm around her to help her to the car. It was a good thing their families were so close, or she’d be overly worried about someone snapping a photo of them in such an intimate position and printing it. Then again, she didn’t really care at the moment. She just wanted to get somewhere safe.

“Jensen’s right on the curb,” Jared said. Y/N nodded her head in silence. As they stepped through the automatic doors to the pick-up area, another clap of thunder hit. This time, Y/N couldn’t swallow the whimper that crawled up her constricted throat as she involuntarily stepped backward. Jared heard it and hushed her, gently encouraging her to walk toward the SUV. Jared put her suitcase in the back while she climbed into the back seat.

Jared climbed in after her. Once they were in, Jensen pulled away and headed toward her apartment. Sensing Y/N was not okay at that moment, he remained silent. Y/N had bent forward, resting her head on her knees, and wrapped her arms over her head. Jensen watched through the rear-view mirror as Jared gently lifted her from that position and moved her head to his chest. He wrapped his arms around her, to shield her from the storm.

“Jen, you got a blanket or something back here?” Jared asked quietly.

“Under the passenger seat,” Jensen answered just as quietly. Jared reached down and grabbed it, opened it, and wrapped it around Y/N to hide her from the storm. He felt her tremble slightly in his arms but didn’t know how to comfort her.

By the time they got to her apartment building, the storm had finally been starting to move away. Jensen pulled her suitcase while Jared escorted her up to the apartment with his arm around her shoulders, her backpack over one shoulder. It took Y/N a few times to unlock her door thanks to her shaking hands, but once she did, she invited the guys in.

“I’ll order Door Dash, get us some tacos from Abuela’s. It can be here in twenty minutes or so,” she said quietly. “Just… give me a second.” Y/N grabbed her stuff from the guys and took it into her bedroom. Jared watched from where he stood as she set her backpack on a chair she had in the corner of the room, opening it, and pulling out her phone. The guys then got comfortable.

Y/N walked back out a few minutes later, dressed in a fresh sweatshirt. Her face was scrubbed clean and her hair was in a messy ponytail. She walked over to the small bookshelf she used as a bar, pulled a bottle of vodka out, and poured two fingers into a glass. She threw a pill in her mouth then chased it with a sip of the vodka.

“You guys know where everything is, so make yourselves at home. I ordered our usual, so it should be here shortly,” Y/N said with a smile. “Thanks for coming to get me.”

“Anytime, sweetheart,” Jensen said with a grin, leaning forward and resting his elbows on his knees. “Just a few questions first.”

“Why am I scared of thunder and lighting, and what pill did I just take with vodka?” Y/N just asked sardonically, a raised brow and smirk playing on her lips.

“Uh…. Yeah,” Jensen said with a nod. “To start.” Y/N curled up in her oversized chair, the guys taking over her couch. She got herself comfortable, pulling the sleeves of her hoodie over her hands.

“Growing up in Florida, you’d think I’d get over the storms eventually. I mean, during the summer you literally have a thunderstorm daily. Between 3 or 4 in the afternoon, it never fails. Crash, boom, bang, bad lightning, loud thunder, torrential downpour, done in thirty, back to the sunshine,” she explained. “But it’s not the normal storms that really mess with you. It’s getting caught in a hurricane that screws with you.”

Understanding dawned on Jared. Y/N wasn’t scared of the storms themselves.

“You’re not actually scared of thunder and lightning,” Jared said, shaking his head. Y/N shook hers.

“Not exactly,” she answered. “But the storms remind me a little too much of a few brutal hurricanes I’ve lived through where I lost damn near everything. Including one time when I almost died. Sometimes when I’m really tired or I’m not in the right headspace…”

“You can’t tell the difference,” Jared finished. Y/N nodded.

“Exactly. When I know it’s coming, I take something for anxiety, go to sleep, and wake up as if nothing happened. But it’s not always like that. When I’m caught off guard with it like with the prank or am delayed and get caught flying in a storm like today… the anxiety wins. It sucks because logically I know I’m not in a hurricane. My body and my emotions can’t tell the difference though.”

The three sat in silence for a few minutes, digesting the new information. The boys weren’t strangers to hurricanes themselves, being from Texas. Florida, however, was the state that was known for getting hit with them.

“What storms have you been through?” Jared asked. Y/N laughed at the question at first, thinking back.

“Oh, God, um…” she started. “So many. I can tell you the bad ones?” Jared shrugged and she took a few minutes to think back on it. “Let’s see…. Andrew was bad. That was a Cat 5. Ivan and Jeanne were back to back in 2004. Those two sucked. We were in hiatus for Matthew and then I was home for Irma…”

Y/N was looking off in the distance and didn’t realize that both Jared and Jensen were staring at her wide-eyed and in awe. They didn’t realize that she had been through such intense hurricanes during her time in Florida, let alone during her time with the show.

“Wait, you were back on set for Irma weren’t you?” Jensen interrupted her.

“For a few weeks, yeah, but then they sent me home for a month while you guys shot those three episodes without me,” she said with a smile. “Irma took out the entire state. Jacksonville was underwater completely.”

“I’ll be damned,” Jensen said, turning to look at Jared.

“I’m really sorry, Jared. I shouldn’t have gone off like I did when you pranked me. I’m really sorry about that. It had been a knee-jerk reaction to something I went through a few years ago before I got here and worked on the show. When I walked into the trailer and just saw flashes of light and heard the thunder machine, I was taken back to when…” she paused to take a breath. “…trees were being ripped up to take out power lines, transformers were blowing up, floodwaters were rising and… well… you get the idea.”

Just then, the doorbell rang. Y/N smiled at the guys.

“Tacos are here,” she said standing up. The guys rose with her. Jensen elbowed Jared, making a gesture that said “go help her, talk to her” and Jared made a vulgar one back. Jensen walked into the kitchen to get them drinks, plates, and napkins with a smirk on his face. Jared took the bags from Y/N’s hands so she could sign the slip held out to her.

“Kitchen table or coffee table?” Jared asked. Y/N shrugged.

“Whichever is easiest,” she answered. Jared took the food to the kitchen and started to unpack the bags onto the kitchen table. Jensen then set out the plates and drinks: beers for him and Jared, water for Y/N. When she walked in, he pointed a finger at her.

“You’re cut off,” he said. She laughed.

“Fair enough,” she responded.

“How much did you buy?” Jared asked, pulling out container after container of food.

“Each taco meal comes with rice and beans. I eat three. Jensen eats three to six. You? You could probably eat ten. I just made it simple and got two family packs, so we should have twenty tacos, two sides of rice, two sides of refried beans, two sides of black beans, two things of chips and queso, two bowls of salsa and two orders of those churros. Oh, and a side of sour cream because I’m out,” Y/N answered with wide eyes. Jared simply stared at her, which made her chuckle. “What? I like Mexican food.”

“Clearly,” Jared said. Jensen ignored them, sat down, and started to dig in. The other two took their seats as well.

“Well, now I have leftovers for the next day or two until my grocery delivery comes in,” Y/N said, grabbing three tacos and putting them on her plate. Jared was busy fixing his own plate.

“You think you’ll have leftovers?” Jensen asked after a swallow from his beer.

“You think you’ll eat four take-out containers full of beans?” Y/N countered. Jensen snorted.

“I won’t, but he might,” he said, pointing at Jared who was busy dumping a healthy serving of refried beans onto his plate. Y/N watched him, then grabbed a container of black beans and stood.

“Good point,” she said as she walked to her refrigerator, putting them in there. Jensen laughed. The three caught up as they ate their taco dinner, enjoying each other’s company after being separated for two weeks. It was late when the two men got ready to leave.

“Thanks for everything tonight, guys,” Y/N said as she gave each one a hug. Jensen kissed the side of her head.

“Gotta keep the demon happy,” he said, causing Y/N to roll her eyes. Jared gave her a big hug, lifting her feet off the ground. Her laughter echoed in the hallway.

“I’m sorry for the prank,” he said earnestly. Y/N waved it off.

“I’m sorry for overreacting,” she replied. “Now, get out of here. Get some sleep.” The guys made their way to Jensen’s SUV silently. It wasn’t until Jensen was pulling back onto the road that he spoke.

“Feel better now?” he asked. Jared took a deep breath and let it out slowly.

“Yeah. Much.”

SPNMixedBingo Square filled – Halloween

When Y/N joined the show, she fit in like a piece to the puzzle they didn’t even know was missing. But after a while, Jared started to feel anxious. Everywhere he turned, Y/N was standing right there. She was laughing with Jensen, hanging all over Misha, she even showed up to their dinners. He started to worry she was taking his place in their lives. It all comes out in a burst of angry words when they were trying to finish a scene before the Halloween party, leaving hurt feelings and triggered habits in its wake.

Y/N puts Jared in his place the only way she knows how, but not before Jensen and Misha reassure him of his place in their lives. After all, they are family… right?

AN: I don’t know what this is. I wrote it and rewrote it a bunch of times with a specific direction in mind, and it might become a series. I’ve hinted at the direction it may be going in. I haven’t written any smut stories, and the direction this would take would be diving into a particular pool of smut that would fit in the taboo category for some. But maybe you’d like that. It’d be fun to write. Tell me if that’s something you’d read, taboo smut.

The Supernatural crew decided this year for Halloween, they were going to go all out and throw a costume party, complete with a band-slash-DJ, catering, a bar, the works. Everyone was required to be there and be in costume, including the newest member of the show, Y/N.

Y/N joined the cast mid-season as Sam’s guardian angel, much like how Castiel was Dean’s. She played Sarah, this misfit renegade who invariably tended to rebel more than follow the rules. The talented actress genuinely seemed to fit into the key role perfectly with her carefree attitude and sharp tongue. She gave as good as she got, had just as dirty of a mind as the rest of them, and had a wicked sense of humor that kept all of them on their toes.

When Misha suggested his close friend Y/N for the role, she resisted a little bit. Every female actress on Supernatural had been killed off in some dramatic way and she was looking for a bit more stability than a frequent guest appearance. But when the directors met her and she read lines with Jared, there was chemistry there. Misha knew his friend was going to be around for more than just a season.

But, throwing her into the mix of the already established friendships between Jared, Jensen, and Misha caused some unintended jealousy and friction, and those emotions played on camera. Particularly with Jared.

Not that he had anything to worry about; his friendships with Jensen and Misha were solid. Yet, every time he saw Y/N laughing and goofing around with Jensen or flirting with Misha with her head on his shoulder, an irrational fury boiled in his gut and he found himself becoming territorial. He didn’t understand it. Why am I reacting this way? He thought.

It all came to a head on the day of the party. He and Y/N were with a skeleton crew on the bunker set with trying to finish filming a scene. Sarah was supposed to console Sam after yet another argument with Dean. They just couldn’t get the right tone. Sam continued to come off defensive instead of melancholy, and it was starting to frustrate the crew who were eager to get changed and get to the party. Dennis, the director for that episode, called for a five-minute break to give everyone a moment to breathe.

Y/N sat down on top of one of the tables in the library and watched Jared pace the small room as the crew reset the lights. She frowned as she watched Jared quietly, trying to decide how to approach this with him. He seemed really agitated right then.

“Is there something wrong? We don’t usually have problems getting through scenes together,” Y/N asked gently, kind eyes following Jared. She saw his shoulders tense at her question. Jared shot her a fierce glare, not answering her question.

“Okay… Is it me? Do you need me to say the lines differently?” she asked, trying a different tactic.

“It’s fine, Y/N,” he said sharply. Y/N’s eyes narrowed a little, not appreciating being snapped at.

“Hey, I’m just trying to help, Jared,” Y/N said.

“Well, I don’t need your help, Y/N,” Jared growled.

“What the fuck? Why are you biting my head off, what’s the problem, Jared?” Y/N asked; her own voice sharpening. Jared ignored her again. “Seriously, what’s your malfunction?”

YOU, okay, Y/N? You are my problem. You come in here, and you just take over everything and suddenly it’s all about you,” Jared snapped, turning, and glaring at you. Y/N blinked at the viciousness in his voice.

“What are you talking about?” she questioned, confusion etched across her face.

“Guys, c’mon,” the director, Dennis, said, but Y/N waved him off.

“No, I want to know what he’s talking about,” Y/N said, her eyes never leaving Jared. “What do you mean it’s all about me? What’s all about me?”

Everything!”Jared shouted, holding his arms open wide. Y/N was startled at his outburst. “Every time I turn around, you’re hanging all over Jensen or making eyes at Misha. You’re always around, butting your way into everything we do, everywhere we go. I go to wardrobe. You’re there. I go to make up. You’re there. Hell, I went out to dinner the other night with the guys, and you were there!!”

“I was invited,” Y/N said quietly.

“I don’t care!” Jared yelled. Y/N closed her eyes at his raised voice before opening her watery eyes and looking at him as he carried on. Swallowing hard around the lump that had lodged itself in her throat, she slowly stood from her seated position atop the table.

“I think we’re done for tonight, everyone,” Y/N said quietly, her voice strained as she forced herself not to give away her emotions.

“That’s not your call to make,” Jared snapped. Y/N clenched her jaw.

“No, but it is mine, and I think you’ve done enough, Jared. Get out of here,” Dennis said, his hands on his hips. Jared opened his mouth to say something, but the director cut him off. “Say something. I dare you. If you don’t want me to call Kim, I suggest you do what I said and get the fuck out of here. Now.”

Jared glared at him for a moment before storming off, slamming the door behind him. Y/N jumped at the sound of the door slam, then let out a shaky breath she didn’t even realize she had been holding. She looked up at the crew who was whispering amongst themselves. Scarlet covered her cheeks as she eyed them with worried eyes.

“No one is to talk about what happened in here just now, am I clear?” Dennis said to the small crew that was still around. “You talk about it, and you’re off the show. Understood?” Murmurs of agreement echoed through the room and Dennis nodded.

“Go get ready for the party tonight,” he said dejectedly. Slowly, the room emptied and the only two people left there were Dennis and Y/N. Y/N had moved back to the table and leaned against it, staring off into the distance. Dennis walked over and stood next to her.

“You gonna be okay?” he asked her.

“Not exactly the best time to learn your co-worker hates you,” Y/N answered with a chuckle that had zero humor in it.

“He doesn’t hate you,” Dennis said. “He’s just…”

“Jealous. He thinks I’m stealing his longtime friends away,” Y/N responded. She smiled gently in a self-deprecating way and shook her head. “Not the first time I’ve had to deal with it.”

“Jared’s complicated, Y/N. He’s more sensitive than most guys I know, and sometimes he takes things to heart without knowing the whole story. Just give him some space; he’ll work it out on his own,” Dennis said, bumping shoulders with her. Y/N nodded her head slowly.

“Think I’m gonna skip the Halloween party tonight, though,” she said. “No point in going somewhere I’m not wanted.”

“That’s up to you, but I know there will be some people who will be disappointed you won’t be there,” Dennis said. He wrapped an arm around her shoulders. “C’mon. I’ll walk you to your trailer.”

Once Y/N was inside her trailer, she collapsed on her couch and blew out a heavy breath. The argument with Jared brought up a lot of old feelings that she didn’t want to deal with and made her want to reach for her old methods of dealing with stress and trauma. She promised Misha that she would contact him before she would do anything stupid, though, and the last thing she wanted was to ruin his night. So, she did the next best thing.

Throwing her hair up into a tight bun at the base of her neck, she stood and walked over to the cabinet over the small sink that was supposed to be part of the kitchen. Opening the top cabinet, she pulled out a shot glass and a bottle of Fireball. She poured herself a shot and threw it back, letting it burn all the way down to her belly.

“If I’m gonna do this, then I’m gonna do it right,” she said out loud to herself as she poured another shot. This one she carried with her to the dinette set and sipped it as she slid into the chair and opened her old school Caboodle to get to her make-up. A smirk danced across her lips as she eyed her favorites before flipping the mirror up and started on her eyes.

It was twenty minutes later that a chirp from her phone interrupted the silence. Looking over to the couch, she reached over to grab the cellular device and opened it to her unread texts.

*What’s the verdict? You in or you out?* it read. She looked up at her reflection, looking at her perfect smokey eyes, and added lashes to make them stand out. A little bit of red glitter lined her bottom lashes so every time she blinked; a shimmer sparkled. She carefully put her red gem nose ring back in and carefully lined her lips with her favorite Lime Crime lipstick – Blood Moon.

*I’m in. And I have some additions to make* she responded. Grabbing her blush, she added a bit to her cheeks before the pale pink shimmer on top of it. When she was done, she got her reply.

*Be there in 10. We can change the list up then* it read. Y/N nodded, then grabbed her setting spray. A few sprits on her face and she closed her kit up and stood. She stripped off her shirt as she made her way to the bedroom at the back of the trailer and opened the small closet there. Inside sat a black wardrobe bag with a red lightning bolt on it. Throwing her shirt on the bed, she unzipped the bag and proceeded to get dressed before the rest of her crew showed up.

Jared walked into the party with his cowboy hat low on his head, carefully hiding his eyes. He didn’t want to be there. He was still angry about the situation on set, though he also felt embarrassed about losing his cool as well. He never should have lashed out at Y/N just because he was feeling insecure and jealous. That was his problem, not hers.

“Jay!” he heard someone shout his name over the loud music, causing him to look up. Jensen was making his way over to him through the crowded bar area with two beers in his hand. He handed one of the sweating bottles to his friend, which Jared accepted gratefully.

“You okay?” Jensen asked. Jared eyed him and frowned.

“You know?” he asked. Jensen nodded with a chuckle.

“Yeah. Everyone here knows to comes find me and fill me in when you lose your shit like that. What happened?” Jensen asked. Jared sighed and shook his head, taking another long pull from his beer.

“It was stupid, man,” Jared said grimly after a bit. Jensen merely nodded.

“Most of the time it is. But that doesn’t make it any less important. We’ve talked about this, dude. If it’s enough to make you do that, it’s important enough to talk about. What. Happened?” Jensen asked again. Jared deflated, his shoulders slumping forward, causing Jensen to reach out and put a hand on the back of Jared’s neck for support. Jensen then spotted Misha moving towards them.

When Misha heard what happened between Jared and Y/N, he instantly got angry with Jared. Y/N was one of his closest friends and he’d be damned if Jared would lay into her like that without provocation. It was a conversation with Jensen that reminded him that Jared’s depression had been messing with him lately. Chances are, that’s where this is all stemming from. It was that comment that made Misha call Y/N to make sure she was okay, considering her own battles with the mental disease.

“I’m okay, Dimitri,” she said quietly, invariably knowing the use of his real name was their code for yes, I’m really okay. No, I’m not lying to you. “I genuinely thought about it, but I didn’t want to bother you, so I intentionally chose a different direction.”

“Fireball,” Misha said gratefully with a smirk. Y/N chuckled.

“Fireball.”

“Okay, well. You know it doesn’t matter what’s going on, you can always call me. You are never a burden to me. I will always come when you call me, no matter what I’m doing,” he said soothingly. He could hear Y/N smile on the other end.

“I know. That’s why I don’t take it for granted,” Y/N said.

When Misha saw Jensen consoling Jared, he changed direction so he could walk over. While he wasn’t as close to the two men as he was to Y/N, he wanted to make sure Jared knew everything was okay. Y/N wasn’t going to hold any grudges against him. But Jensen gently shook his head when he caught Misha’s eye, silently asking for distance. Misha frowned but agreed and detoured away from the two.

Jared explained to Jensen what happened on set earlier that evening. Occasionally, Jensen would gently squeeze his neck reassuringly. At some point, the two made their way to a table and sat down next to each other, away from the thumping speakers and the loud music. It seemed obvious to everyone that they needed to be left alone. When Jared finished, he felt tired and miserable.

“Okay, I’m going to say some things. I just need you to listen to me. Okay?” Jensen asked, looking at Jared intently. Jared nodded his head, his eyes still looking down. Jensen gently squeezed his neck. “Gonna have to have you look at me for this, Jay.”

Jared took a deep breath and adjusted himself in his chair so he could look at Jensen. The fierce frown on his face and considerable pain in his eyes showed just how much all of this was undoubtedly hurting him.

“Number one,” Jensen started, holding up a finger. “No one, ever, is going to come between you and me. You are my brother, man, and I don’t just mean on tv. So, you need to put that out of your mind. Y/N is amazing, and I genuinely like her a lot, but she isn’t you.

Jared blinked his eyes a few times to clear the wetness that instantly started to gather there and looked down, nodding understandingly.

“Number two,” Jensen continued gently. “Misha has known Y/N for over a decade, and they have a thing going on.” Jared cautiously lifted his head to look at Jensen with a raised brow, and he shook his head.

“I don’t know, he’s married… But they… you know what? It doesn’t matter, it’s between them. The point is – they have a history,” Jensen properly said. “But just because they have a history and are really close, doesn’t mean that Misha doesn’t love you too. And dude, you know he would do anything for you. The two of you are dangerous together.”

Jared chuckled at that part, thinking back to all the pranks they got together on to pull on Jensen. He still hasn’t heard the end of it when they filled Jensen’s trailer full of packing peanuts. Misha helped him with that one and the photos were hanging up in his room still.

“And number three,” Jensen started. “Next time you have concerns about stuff like this, come talk to us about it. Had I known that you were feeling doubtful or concerned? We could have handled this differently. It needed to be handled differently…”

“What do you mean?” Jared asked when Jensen trailed off.

“Let’s just say I learned some essential things about Y/N that I would never have guessed were a worsening problem. Kind of like how we learned about your depression,” Jensen said pointedly. Jared’s face dropped as slight panic encompassed his eyes.

“Oh, God, Jen. What did she do?” Jared asked, his voice shaking slightly. Jensen was already shaking his head.

“She didn’t do anything. According to Misha, she ended up shooting some Fireball and got ready for the party. But she has some unfortunate habits that Misha has made her swear to call him about, as well as a few other things he keeps an eye on. The reason I’m telling you this is not to make you feel bad. I’m serious Jay. I’m telling you this because if anyone is going to understand what you are feeling, it’s going to be Y/N,” Jensen explained gently. Jared studied him for a long moment, then nodded.

“I’m not telling you to not come to me, because if you stop coming to me, imma be pissed,” Jensen said with a kind smile, one Jared couldn’t help but return. “I want you to come to me. I need to know what’s going on with you. I’m just saying, she might be able to help you understand why you feel the way you do sometimes. She’s been battling with it since she was a teen. She may have some better insight than I do.”

Jared nodded again, lost in his own thoughts until the music died down and the sound of a guitar being tuned was heard through the sound stage. This got both men’s attention, and they turned to look at the stage. Misha suddenly appeared nearby and waved at them to come with, a brilliant smile on his face.

“You aren’t gonna want to miss this,” Misha said mysteriously. Jared and Jensen looked at each other confused then followed him to the stage. Most of the band was men dressed in black pants, concert tees, and boots. The one who was tuning the guitar had a red mohawk down the center of his head. The drummer had neon green dreadlocks on his head. But the one person who captured their attention was the single woman on the makeshift stage.

She had her back to the growing audience, but that didn’t stop them from staring. She had these knee-high platform boots on with buckles all the way to the top, with torn fishnet stockings hugging very sexy legs. A short, black peasant-style skirt fell mid-thigh, and it was accented with tulle at the bottom to make it poof out around her. The halter top she wore left her back exposed, and they could see the tattoo of wings covering her shoulders.

When she turned around, they realized the black halter top had red threading in it, glistening in the light from time to time. The black and red of the outfit matched the black and red hair on the woman’s head, bangs swept over her eyes. On her wrists, she had a multitude of leather bracelets… some even with studs. The skull earrings she had in glistened in the light, and occasionally, they caught the glint of a red gemstone in her nose.

Her eyes danced across the crowd as the band started to play, landing on Misha. A devilish smirk suddenly appeared on her face as she eyed Jared and Jensen.

I did it ‘cause I wanna and I did it 'cause I’m gonna
And I did it just because I can
I did it 'cause it makes me feel so good
And I did it because fuck “the man”
I did it 'cause I’m crazy and no one’s gonna save me
And I did it just to cut the noise
I did it 'cause I’m drunk and I did it yeah, so what?
'Cause baby you’re just one of the boys

“Holy shit,” Jensen muttered under his breath.

“Is that…?” Jared asked. Misha nodded with a devious smirk on his own face.

“Yep.”

I do it 'cause you hate me and I do it for the ladies
And with all my good time friends
I do it 'cause the whole damn worlds gone crazy
And fuck it man
This is the end

I did it all, to break every single preconceived notion that you have
I did it all to rape every single one of your emotions
And just to make you

Uncomfortable

The two of them watched in awe as Y/N continued to rock out, only recognizing her by the sound of her voice. Misha rocked along with the song, knowing that she had been working on that one for a while now. He was thrilled that she opened with it, showing her confidence in her voice work. When the song was over, the entire room erupted with cheers.

“She’s amazing!” Jensen exclaimed with a delighted laugh as the band started up a second song. Misha nodded his head in agreeance.

“Make sure you tell her that. She needs the boost in confidence. She genuinely thinks she sounds like shit,” Misha shouted in his friend’s ear. Jensen’s jaw dropped.

“Are you fucking kidding me? She sounds just like Lizzy!” Jensen said. Misha just shrugged and looked back at the stage. Jared simply listened and eagerly watched the girl rock out. After three songs, Y/N stepped away from the microphone to grab a bottle of water. The red mohawk guy said something to her that made her throw her head back and laugh. Jared glanced cautiously at Misha and noticed he was smiling too. Jared gently nudged him.

“You mad at me?” he bent over and asked in his ear. Misha shrugged.

“I was, but she can be reactive too. I get it,” Misha said into his ear as the band started up again. This song was slower and more mellow compared to the three previous hard rock songs.

“Just remember, we aren’t going anywhere. We’re family,” Misha said, squeezing Jared’s arm. Jared pulled back, averting his eyes as he nodded. When he looked up, he realized Y/N was looking at him as she was singing.

Here’s to us, here’s to love
All the times, that we messed up
Here’s to you, fill the glass
'Cause the last few nights have kicked my ass
If they give ya hell
Tell em to go fuck themselves, here’s to us, here’s to us

Jared smiled gently at her, nodding his head slightly. Y/N intentionally raised a brow at him a saucy smirk on her lips as if she was legitimately asking if he got the point. Jared snickered slightly and thoughtfully rubbed the back of his neck. He then looked directly at her and pressed a hand against his heart before bowing his head a little. Y/N nodded slightly from the stage before averting her own eyes.

Jensen nudged his arm causing him to look over. He’d seen the private exchange and was smiling indulgently at his ‘brother’ with pride. Jared lifted an arm and wrapped it around Jensen for an affectionate hug before adding Misha to the group.

Jared knew he had nothing to worry about. His friends weren’t going to leave him high and dry for Y/N. In fact, if he gave her a chance, Y/N could be another one of his closest friends. He just had to remember the evil voices in his head aren’t always telling him the truth.

Here’s to us.

The first thing that made sense to Y/N as she started to wake with the light of the morning filtering through the window, was the pounding headache probably brought on by the amount of wine she’d drank at the restaurant last night. Second was the fact that her mouth was so dry it felt as if it had somehow turned into the Sahara Desert overnight, again, most likely the wine. Last, but not least, was that she was alone in the bed.

Now that she thought about it, she wasn’t sure that Jensen ever came to bed last night at all. He was the one that suggested that they share a bed after all, but it seemed he had chickened out. In fact, after their little fight at the restaurant, if you could call it that, they had had much more spectacular fights in their short time together, he’d barely said a word to her at all. He just changed silently into his pj’s after his shower, and then made his way to the living room area of the little home, and sat down alone in the dark on the couch.

Y/N was so mentally and physically exhausted that she didn’t care much last night whether or not he came to bed. She just showered once he’d finished and fell face first on the side of the bed she’d designated as ‘her side’, and fell asleep hard. She didn’t remember feeling him ever join her in the bed last night at all now that she thought of it

She rolled herself over slowly, cracking one of her eyes as she pulled the covers far enough away from her face to look around the room, no Jensen, but he wasn’t far, the open door revealed him sitting on the same couch she’d left him on last night, a glass of what looked like whiskey in his hand, and his hair a mess. The clock on the wall told her that it wasn’t even ten in the morning yet and he was already drinking, great.

She laid back down into the cocoon of pillows and blankets around her with a huff, not ready to get out of bed and face him just yet.

She really didn’t understand why he’d had the reaction he’d had last night to their little spat.  Maybe she’d gone too far when she’d threatened to leave him and go back to California, but honestly, who in their right mind would tolerate being treated the way he’d treated her? What did he expect from her? She’d gone a hell of a lot easier on him than he deserved, that was for sure, and she just wasn’t ready to accept his apology yet and sooth his ego, because honestly, he was going to have to prove just how sorry he was to her. Words at this point meant nothing.

She was just about to give up on her stewing and drag herself out of bed to face the music when his phone rang, and she froze in place.

Jensen signed heavily, apparently not very happy to see the person’s name on the other end of the screen, and swore under his breath, which made her chest tighten with fear of just what could be on the other line.

“Hello,” his deep, whisky rough voice answered, Y/N strained to hear who was on the other end of the line, literally holding her breath.

“Hey mom… Yeah, yeah, I’m okay.”

Suddenly Y/N felt horrible for listening in on his conversation, and started to get up and out of bed, but she was afraid he’d see her and think she was Eve’s dropping on purpose. Damn him for renting such a small house!!

“No,” he said after a pause. “We’re in Hawaii.”

Y/N remembered Jensen telling her that even his parents didn’t know where he was taking her, she guessed he wasn’t as big of a lair as she tagged him to be after all.

“I don’t think so mom,” he said after a long moment. “I really have messed this up from the beginning. I don’t think there’s a way of fixing it.”

“Yeah, Yeah, I know that…”

Y/N didn’t want to lift the covers to check for sure, but she was almost sure she could hear his voice crack as if he were crying? Maybe it was just the fact that it was so early and he was already drinking that made his voice rough. Maybe she was overthinking things. Fuck she really did not want to invade his privacy this way, she felt like she’d already done that enough when she was forced on him the way she was, but she felt more and more trapped the longer the conversation went on.

After a long pause of what Y/N was sure was Jensen’s mother lecturing him for whatever, good or bad because she could not hear to be certain, Jensen let out a long, deep breath, and cleared his throat.

“I know, I’m going to try, but I can’t make anyone any promises… No, we haven’t, but an annulment is going to be completely up to her. I’m not going to make her stay with someone like me, but I’m not going to ask her to leave either. Maybe that’s a little bit of a dick move, but our choice has been taken away from us so much in this whole situation that I’m going to let her have this one.”

The lump that gathered in Y/N’s throat was so impressive that she almost had to cough before she could swallow again.

He sounded so done, so defeated. She’d not heard this side of him before, even when he came home completely waisted and was so hung over the next day he spent most of the day hanging over the toilet.

“If she decides to stay with me I’ll talk to her about it when we get home… Sure, I’ll let you know… Love you too.”

Y/N heard the phone drop to the table and Jensen sighed again as he sat back on the small loveseat. She knew she couldn’t hide away in the bed forever, so she waited a beat to make it look as if she wasn’t listening in on his phone call, and sat up slowly in the bed, with the movement his red rimmed eyes shot to her and back down to his lap as he started to chew on his lower lip and twisting his glass in his hand as if he were nervous.

It took all the will power in her to stand up from that bed and make her way into the small living space where he was sitting. Not because she was afraid of him, not really, it was because she was afraid of the conversation that was surely coming. It was going to be a make or break, because if she decided to stay with him, then there was no going back for her, this was it, she was in it for life, especially if he held true to what he told his mother and didn’t file for the annulment himself.

Looking at the man as she walked into the room and sat down in the small chair across from him, the glass coffee table sitting in between them like a battle line drawn, ready for one of them to look up and cross it, she was almost certain that if she walked out of her right now and never looked back, it would distroy him, or he would do something really stupid and distroy himself. Either way there was no good outcome for him. It was just something her gut was telling her. The man was ready to end it all if she left him. It was just something she just knew. Mentally, he wasn’t well.

“We need to talk,” he said after a moment of silence passed between them, keeping his eyes low and twisting the empty crystal glass between his fingers.

“Yeah, we do,” she agreed, “and this time let’s try to do it like adults and not like petty children or yelling at one another.”

Jensen nodded, but didn’t look up. Instead he just continued to speak mostly to his knees. It made him look so much smaller than she’d ever thought possible with such a tall, thick, brooding of a man.

“I’m not going to apologize to you again for how I’ve acted, because every time I try to apologize to you we end up in another fight,” he stated as if he’d given this a lot of long thought. “I understand why you don’t want to forgive me, not that I ever really asked you too, and I understand why you don’t believe me. There’s nothing I can say or do to change that.”

Y/N sat silently and watched as a range of emotions passed over his face before he looked out of the window, and ran a hand down his face before looking her in the eyes for the first time since she’d sat down. Then there it was again. That dark, soulless, shell of a person staring back at her just like it had the first day she’d met him in Mr. Carter’s office.

“If you want to leave, I’ll book your flight back to LA and I’ll pay for the annulment once you’ve filed it,” he continued. “I’m not going to try and do anything to take you down or hurt your reputation. I’ll make sure that Mr. Carter gives you your job back, and I’ll pay for whatever collateral damage having been with me probably has caused. It’s solely my fault that we are even in this mess to begin with, so I’m the one that should take responsibility for it.”

“And, if I choose to stay,” she asked in a small voice, and she was taken aback by the tears that formed in his eyes that he refused to let fall. It was the first real emotion that he’d shown since she’d met the man, even if he wasn’t looking at her again.

“I don’t understand why you would,” Jensen stated matter of factly with a confused expression on his face, “but I’m not going to twist your arm to do anything you don’t want to do.”

“Okay,” Y/N nodded, taking the approach to this conversation that was probably more appropriate for a child than a grown man, but talking to Jensen this way always felt like a ticking time bomb, and if you stepped wrong or said somethting to set him off this conversation was going to go no where. “Well, my next question is, do you want me to stay?”

“Why does it matter what I want?” Jensen inquired, turning his head slightly as he looked at her like she was nuts.

“Just, humor me,” she said, face as stoney as his own. “Tell me the truth, do you want me to stay here, or do you want me to go back to California and file for an annulment?”

Jensen swallowed thickly, his eyes shifting nervously. She could tell by the look on his tired face this was not the direction he anticipated the conversation going when he started it.

“I… I don’t really want you to leave,” he admitted reluctantly after a moment.

Y/N nodded again, watching him as if he could explode at any moment.

“And is that becau-”

“It’s not because I’d lose my career if that’s what you’re about to say,” Jensen interrupted, looking down and scratching at his hair harshly with his free hand.

Y/N could tell he was getting irritated, and she didn’t want him to turn this into a fight, but she was really curious now as to why he wanted her to stay. It was certainly not the answer she’d been expecting.

“Then, can you enlighten me? Because so far all I’ve got from you since I walked into Mr. Carter’s office is that you don’t want anything to do with me.”

Jensen nodded, a grim look on his face and just shook his head, clearly he was not done with this conversation already, but they kept dancing around one another and didn’t get things straight between them, then things were just going to get worse and worse between them, she knew that. So like it or not, if he wanted her to stay, he needed to level with her.

“Did Mr. Carter tell you how you ended up with me?” Jensen questioned, searching her face as she sat there silently across from him.

“Because you got caught with two randoms in a motel room,” she retorted, turning her head thoughtfully, “possibly ruining your reputation and your career.”

“Yeah, that’s what I did, but did he tell you why he chose you to marry me, and not any of the other fifty women in the office working that day?”

Y/N blinked in confusion, and Jensen snorted, shaking his head in disgust as he stood and made his way over to the small island that separated the living area from the kitchen where the whiskey bottle he’d been drinking from sat. Y/N wanted to call him out on the fact that it wasn’t even noon yet, but she knew better than to push him that far.

“He said that the industry wanted me to marry, and these are his words, not mine, ‘under my league.’ Literally the girl next door makes the handsome actor fall for her, some Cinderella bullshit or something like that, and I promise you, I’m softening the blow here, he was not near as nice as I just said it,” Jensen said as he flopped back down on the small couch.

Y/N swallowed thickly, blinking back the tears that suddenly wanted to spring forth without her permission. She had trusted and respected Mr. Carter. Learning this hurt, it hurt a lot, and she could tell by the look on Jensen’s face he wasn’t lying, not that he had a reason too.

“Why are you telling me this?” Y/N asked, “What? Kick the dog while she’s down? What does that have to do with the reason you’d want me to stay?”

“I never said you were a dog,” Jensen corrected her. “He literally gave me no other choice. PR marriages are a thing in Hollywood, everyone knows it. Usually they pair you with another actor or someone else in the industry, but he said they literally wanted to ‘shake the Hollywood off of me’. It– made me so angry. They took my choice away. Our choice. They forced us into something that just…”

Jensen let his sentence trail off and closed his eyes as he tried to pull back his own emotions but failed miserably as a stray tear started to leak down his face before he looked her in the eye again.

“I don’t really know why I want you to stay, and that’s the truth. But you did have a right to know what happened the day you walked into that office.”

Jensen reached up to run his hand down his face again, and this time she was paying attention as his shirt lifted slightly, revealing thin cuts along his inner bicep, and she instinctively reached for his arm for a better look, he jumped back as if she had tried to burn him, and she dropped her hand into her lap, pulling his shirt back down quickly.

“Jensen, if this is even going to work at all, you’re going to have to start treating me like a human. You said it yourself, what I would really have to go back to in California if I did leave isn’t much better than what I have here. So I’m not going to go anywhere, but if you ever, and I mean EVER raise a hand to me again, I’m gone.”

Jensen nodded, before sitting his glass down on the coffee table between them with a shaky hand.

“Have you slept at all?” she asked, watching his movements.

“I laid down on the floor for a while, but I didn’t sleep really,” he admitted, his hand ideally going to up to rub his arm where she’d seen the cuts. It didn’t take a rocket scientist to know how they got there, and for the first time she didn’t see him as a monster, but she saw him as someone who was hurting, and had been hurt, really REALLY bad. That didn’t excuse the way he’d treated her, but it did make her worry about just how deep this rabbit whole really went, or just how mentally he might be, and to scared to too stubborn to ask for help.

“Jensen, you didn’t have to lay on the floor, you said we could share the bed, but if you didn’t want to sleep next to me then I probably could have made the couch work –”

“That’s not it,” Jensen said, “I just knew I wasn’t going to be able to sleep and I didn’t see the point of keeping you awake and miserable with me.”

Y/N reached for him again, and Jensen flinched away before mumbling something that sounded like ‘sorry’, before standing to his feet.

“Maybe I should try to go and lay down for a little while and get at least an hour of sleep, then if you want we can go for a walk down by the water just to get out of this little house for a little bit.”

Y/N nodded, and let him get up and make his way over to the only bed in the room.

She didn’t want to feel sorry for him, she wanted to be mad at him, make him suffer, but maybe he was already suffering enough on his own without her help, and the scary part about it is she didn’t think there was a chance in hell he was going to let her pull him out. He’d gladly just drown.

“You’re pregnant, Ms. Y/L/N…”

You couldn’t think straight, time itself seemed to stand still. For a split second, nothing made sense but the fact that she just said you were pregnant. Somehow, impossibly, the correction made to Jensen’s reversal worked, and you were pregnant.

You sat there staring at the nurse, mouth hanging open, Jensen’s head still resting on your shoulder sound asleep from the amount of drugs they’d pumped into him, and completely dumbstruck.

“That’s…that’s impossible. They said at his last appointment his sperm count was still almost non-existent,” you stuttered out. “We just had it checked before we left Austin. There was only like…two live sperm in the whole sample. The doctor said his count might increase from the epididymal dysfunction over time with vitamins and other medications, but he said it could take years…not a few weeks.”

“You said he had two live, and all it takes is one at the right time to get pregnant. Sure, it’s rare, it’s hard, but it does happen. Bloodwork doesn’t lie, and according to the amount of hormones found in your body I’m guessing you’re close to four weeks pregnant or so,” she said, keeping her voice low as you had, clearly trying to keep Jensen asleep as well. He’d been through a lot.

“I would schedule an appointment with your OBGYN as soon as possible, they can do a scan and tell you for sure how far along you are,” she continued. “Here is a copy of the results of the bloodwork showing you’re pregnant, and again, congratulations to both of you. I’ll be around early tomorrow to check on him and sign the discharge papers.”

With that she turned her on heels and walked out of the room, leaving you staring at the impossible blood test results in your trembling hands, your heart wanting to believe it, but fear of losing this too as it was still so early gripping you, and keeping you grounded to the fact that this impossible miracle could be fleeting.

You sat there staring at the paperwork for what was probably hours, just radiating with a mixture of shock and joy. How the hell you were going to tell Jensen was still a heavy hanging question as well. You knew he’d be thrilled to death, but still, how do you even begin to explain this to him? You knew he wouldn’t accuse you of being unfaithful to him. You were literally with him all of the time. You didn’t have time to have an affair. He’d wanted this so bad…

The phone rang shrilly next to you on the table, and you jumped to retrieve it to keep it from waking Jensen up, the caller ID notifying you that it was Jared. Then it hit you, no one knew you were here, you hadn’t called anyone.

“Hello,” you answer as quietly as you could, kicking yourself for being so stupid.

“Y/N! Is everything alright?! We heard the hospital called the staff and was questioned about what everyone had for dinner today, and that Jensen was now in the hospital too! What the hell is going on?”

You could hear the panic in his voice, and knew he was pissed at you for not telling him. You pinch the bridge of your nose and let out a tired huff, trying to keep your voice low, the only thing  you’d been able to focus on was Jensen being sick, and now the most recent news…it was a lot to process…

“Yeah, we’re here at the hospital. He got sick when we pulled up in the driveway. I called an ambulance. They found out he had Salmonella poisoning, from the chicken they think. He’s going to be fine. They’re keeping him overnight to rehydrate him and make sure his nausea is under control. We should be going home in the morning. I’m sorry I didn’t call you. Things just all happened so fast that I haven’t really had a chance to call anyone.”

Jared took a long, slow breath, clearly trying to calm his nerves. “Thank God he’s okay,” he murmured. “Word started to spread that the hospital called the directors, and that there was bad food under the food tent. I know a lot of people are sick right now. Thank God you, me and Misha didn’t eat the chicken. I’ll spread the word that he’s okay, and Gen and I will come by there in the morning to help you get him home and settled. I’m sure he’s still gonna be rough for a few days,” he said, and you were more than a little grateful for the help right now, especially considering you were still reeling from the news you weren’t even sure if you could tell anyone yet.

“I’d appreciate that,” you tell him. “They said he could feel sick for up to a week or maybe two before he gets it completely out of his system and back to normal. So I’m sure the ride home tomorrow will be no fun for him.”

“Fuck, that sucks,” Jared said, you could almost hear the shutter in his voice.

“Yeah, tell me about it. When he was awake just now all he could worry about was throwing behind the filming schedule. He’s not going to be happy.”

“Well,” Jared said, an almost dark chuckle to his voice. “You can tell him we’re probably going to be shut down for a week at least anyway, so he can just calm down about that and get better. You both get some sleep tonight and I’ll see you both first thing.”

You didn’t know exactly how well you’d sleep. You hated hospitals, and now, all you could think about was there was this little life growing inside of you. This little piece of you and Jensen. It wasn’t going to make sleep come easy.

image

The next morning, Jared, Misha, Rob, and Gen were all crammed into the room you and Jensen had spent the night in. Jensen was now awake, and seemed to be feeling a lot better than he had last night. His nausea was under control, in fact, it didn’t seem to be there at all unless he got up moving around any, so staying in bed was a must. He did seem glad to see everyone, and for him, it was a welcomed distraction. Now, all you needed were the discharge paperwork, and you could both go home.

“I mean, this goes without saying,” Misha said, sitting in the middle of the floor between two chairs like a child. “There are better ways to get a vacation dude.”

“Well, you knew me,” Jensen said, glaring at him. “I love to live on the edge, asshole.”

Misha stuck his tongue out at him, and Jensen rolled his eyes, looking back towards you, who was sitting on the bed next to him.

“When are they gonna spring us out of here baby, I desperately want to take a shower and die in my own bed.”

“She said the paperwork would be done within the hour,” you assured him, putting your hand on his chest to stop him from getting out of bed and getting sick again.

“Well, you guys, this has been fun,” Rob said, “unlike some of us though, I got to get to work.”

Jensen looked over to Rob, an almost regretful look on his face.

“I’m sorry this has all thrown back filming,” he said, “If I wouldn’t have gotten sick, then we could keep the schedule at least somewhat intact.”

Rob put his hand up to stop Jensen in his tracks, “No man, don’t even talk like that. This was out of your control, there was no way you’d known that would have made you sick like that. Just focus on getting better. This gives SPN time to film extras and back stories, the whole set isn’t out of work, and you could use the break anyway. I’ll text you later to check on you and keep you updated.”

Jensen waved him off and Rob closed the door behind. Leaving a sulking Jensen on the bed. He always felt like he had to fix everything, even things he had no control over, or weren’t even his fault.

“It’s all gonna be fine,” Jared said, reading his friend like an open book. “Just get better, the rest will work itself out.”

Before Jensen had time to argue, the nurse returned with the discharge papers and started to remove his IV. You decided since Jared was with him, you’d take what little bit of things you had there with you to the car, and pull it under the hang so that he wouldn’t have to roll through the parking garage in a wheelchair. Gen followed you, needing to get out of the cramped room. She hated doctors and hospitals just as much as you did.

Once the elevator doors were shut, and you were both alone, she turned to you grinning. “So, while you were outside earlier, I found something very interesting while looking for Jensen’s cell in your purse,” she said, an almost mischievous grin on her face. She was damn near bouncing in place.

You didn’t have to guess very hard to know what she found, and you groaned as you covered your face with your hands.

“Please Gen, you can’t tell anyone! Not even Jared! I want to surprise Jensen, but I want to wait until he’s better to do it. Hell, I don’t even know how I’m going to do it yet,” you tell her, and she squeals as she throws her arms around your neck.

“Don’t worry, your secret is safe with me,” she said, releasing you from the bone cruising hug. “I do expect to get auntie privileges as well as God Mama privileges, cause this is gonna be a hard secret to keep!”

She practically bounced out the elevator and skipped towards the car, not speaking again until you were both safely inside.

“So, how far along are you?” she asked, turning in her seat as you put the car in park.

“Only about four weeks they think,” you tell her. “I might need your help figuring out how to tell Jensen.”

Her eyes lit up in a way that only describes a child on Christmas morning as she clapped and squealed in her seat! “I have the perfect idea!!!!”

Your POV:

She only drinks coffee at midnight, but the moment is not right,

And the timing is quite unusual…

You see her confidence is tragic, but her intuition magic

The shape of her body, unusual…

Y/N’s heart pounded in her chest as she stood balancing a coffee carrier tray with two Grande Black Americanos in one hand, a stack of paperwork that Mr. Carter needed to sign before he met with the new group for the Vampire Diaries reboot in the other, and her cell phone on top of it all in the middle of the climbing elevator, humming alone to the song as it played loudly overhead in the small cubicle in an attempt to calm her own nerves.

She didn’t mind the fact that they played ‘classic’ hits in leu of elevator music here, in fact, it was honestly one of the perks.

Y/N had been working for the talent agency for less than three months, but she had found favor somehow with the head talent search manager, Mr. Carter, right away, and he took her on as a personal assistant. She fetched his coffee for him before meetings with celebrities. She busted paperwork from one end of the building to another. She picked up his dry cleaning, whatever he wanted.

It wasn’t a horrible job, especially when she was still deciding if she wanted to go back to college to finish her business major that she had dropped out on, or if she wanted to change career paths all together and become a vet.  She was only twenty-three years old. She felt like she still had time to figure out what she wanted to do in her life, and right now, bringing Mr. Carter’s coffee to him and trying to find herself were the only priorities she really wanted. She didn’t want to rush into a life changing decision. Not really. Not yet. Not when it was something as big as a lifelong commitment like a career. That’s exactly why her mom said she’d never be anything. She was always too indecisive, never wanted to take a chance. She was always afraid she’d live to regret something she couldn’t change. Y/N’s therapist said it was a form of OCD. She thought they just all needed to leave her alone and let her live her own life however she saw fit to live it. Even if she decided just to bus coffee and paperwork for the rest of her life. If she was happy doing it, that’s all that mattered.

The elevator door dinged loudly and open as the chorus of Meet Virginia started to play, and She stepped out into the crowded hallway that would eventually lead her to Mr. Carter’s office at the end of it all. .

As soon as her foot hit the top landing, her cell phone lit up with Mr. Carter’s name, and she sighed before answering her phone, doing her best to balance everything and bring the device up to her ear without dropping the coffee and paperwork all over everyone’s shoes as she dogged people that pushed by her as if she were invisible.

“Yes sir, Mr. Carter. I’m almost at your office,” she answered the phone, knowing he had a client that was in there and was probably annoyed it was taking her so long to bring up their coffee orders.

“Great,” Mr. Carter said, “And while you’re on your way here, stop at the receptionist desk outside my office and tell her I won’t be taking anymore meetings this morning, and to reschedule VD interviews, this meeting is going to run a little long.”

“Yes sir,” she responded breathily, hanging up her phone and picking up the pace towards Heather’s desk at the end of the hallway outside of Mr. Carter’s door.

Y/N had just regained her balance as she came to a skidding halt at Heather’s desk, taking an exhausted breath as she sat down the paperwork, and swore under her breath.

“Busy morning?” Heather chucked, taking in her disheveled state.

“You could say that,” she affirmed, reaching for the sealed paperwork she handed Y/N from the printer, and adding it to her pile. “Who’s he got in there?”

“Jensen Ackles,” Heather answered, fanning herself dramatically.

Y/N snorted, shaking her head as she did so.

Y/N had heard of Jensen, seen his pictures all over the office as well as the internet. She even watched Supernatural and Smallville, but she had yet to meet the man most of the females in the office coined as, 'his deliciousness’.

“Well, Mr. Carter just said to cancel the Vampire Diaries interviews for today, as well as anything else on his schedule. The meeting apparently is gonna run long.”

“Oh,” Heather said, suddenly becoming very busy with her computer. “Well, you better get in there then. You know how he is when he doesn’t get his coffee on time.”

“Tell me about it,” Y/N huff as she regathered her load of paperwork and coffee after stowing she phone safely into her back pocket this time.

A lot of people thought Mr. Carter was a little demanding, and sure, maybe he was, but he didn’t get this high up in the industry because he was a candy ass, and she respected him for it.

Without bothering to knock, seeing as she was expecting, she pushed the door open and stepped inside the office, noting the smell of cigarette smoke that lingered in the air, but choosing to ignore it. The man was never going to quit smoking, no matter how much she bitched about it being bad for his health.

“Sorry It took me so long Mr. Carter,” she said, sitting the paperwork on his disk, and passing the coffee cup to him before turning her attention to the handsome actor that was sitting across the desk from her boss, arms folded, and a look of utter disgust on his face as he stared holes into the floor, only shaking his head when she offered him the coffee, but not making eye contact with her at all. So she just sat it within his reach on the desk in front of him in the event he decided to change his mind.

For someone that was so damn handsome, he was rude. Chris Evans was nicer than he was. So far, Jensen Ackles has not made a good impression on her. Handsome looks meant little to her if the personality of the individual was crap.

“It’s okay Y/N, why don’t you take a seat next to Jensen here, there’s something I want to talk to you about,” Mr. Carter stated coolly, and she could tell by the tone in his voice something was up. It made her nervous to say the least.

“Y/N, I’m going to make you an offer, that well, you can’t really refuse,” Mr. Carter continued as she sat down slowly, glancing at Jensen as she did so, and she swore for a moment the man was going to burst into tears before he wrapped it up, and became suddenly interested in the wall opposite him.

“Okay, I’m listening,” she answer, turning her attention back to her boss, who passed her a set of very compromising photos of Jensen and two very naked strangers, causing her eyes to widen and her to blush as she dropped the photos on the desk like they were going to burst into flames.

“As you can see, Jensen here has gotten himself into a bit of a pickle,” Mr. Carter said, sitting back in his chair and watching her closely, she suddenly could feel the handsome actor’s eyes on her, but she refused to meet his gaze; choosing instead to keep her focus on Mr. Carter.

“I’m sorry Mr. Carter, but what does that have to do with me?”

Mr. Carter straightened up in his chair, fixing his tie as he did so.

“Look, Y/N, I like you a lot. You’re a level headed girl with a good heart. You care about people, even my old, grumpy ass. They just don’t make them like you anymore, not in Hollywood.”

Y/N sat there silently, wondering if he was about to fire her, swallowing thickly around nothing.

“There’s no easy way to say this, so I’m just going to come right out with it. Mr. Ackles here,” he stated with a little distaste before turning his focus back to her, “took it upon himself to have a night out and get fucked in front of an open widow facing a busy LA strip where thousands of people could see him, and now, the company has to revamp his image.”

“Okay,” she answered, nodding slowly, thinking that maybe she needed to go get more paperwork or something. But the relief was short-lived. “Where do I come in here?”

“Jensen has built his reputation on being a family man. He’s had a successful career so far in his life since he was very young. I’m sure you’ve seen him in pictures in my office, and I can state with confidence that aside from this knuckleheaded incident pictured here, he’s a pretty good guy.”

Mr. Carter stood suddenly, and made his way around the desk, sitting on the corner closest to Y/N. Jensen remained quiet, but she could see him fidgeting out of the corner of her eye. It made her incredibly nervous. She thought she might know where this was going, but there was no way, shit like that only happened in movies, right? It was a rumor that these things happened in Hollywood, surely that’s all. It wasn’t real.

“Y/N, what we need here is for Jensen to shake off some of the Hollywood stigma from his image. He was married to a girl that worked in the industry and was an actor for years. They are now divorced, he had this little meltdown that landed him in my office, and because he was seen, we need to reset that family man image that’s working for him for the entirety of his career. The agency, as well as myself, has requested that Jensen marry a woman that’s… well, more a girl next door. Someone that’s not in the business per say, but someone that’s just an average girl. Someone Hollywood hasn’t corrupted, and that someone, well, Y/N… that someone is you.”

Y/N choked on thin air as her eyes shot from Mr. Carter to Jensen, who looked at her for the first time with a blank, emotionless look on his face. His features literally looked like they were carved from stone. They were cold, there was no warmth to them at all. And, while she wasn’t a betting person, she was willing to bet that he didn’t exactly like this plan.

“Mr… Mr. Carter? I… I… Wait a minute!” she suddenly shouted as her brain caught up with the fact that she wasn’t dreaming, and this was really happening. Y/N stood up and backed away from the two men slightly, Jensen turned to look at her with a dark smirk on his face, and it sent a shiver down her spine, and not the kind one would read about in a smut novel.

“You want me, me, of all fucking people, to fake marry him?!” She yelled, pointing at Jensen accusingly.

“Well,” Mr. Carter stated, “No, no, not exactly. We want you to literally marry Jensen. You will be his wife, and he will be your husband, in a biblical sense as well as in the public eye. He is going to be your real, living and breathing husband.”

Y/N’s eyes shot to Jensen, who was still sitting there with a sarcastic and, albeit, bitter, look on his face and a wave of his hand over himself. “It’s your lucky day, sweetheart.”

“But, but, we don’t even know one another. We can’t get married! You’re way out of my league, and while I’m gathering that’s the point here, no one is going to believe this marriage is real,” Y/N argued, and Mr. Carter took her hand and guided her back to your seat as Jensen suddenly stood and  brushed harshly past her to the small liquor bar Mr. Carter kept in his office. She was pretty sure he murmured something about her being an ‘ungrateful bitch’, but her mind was too frazzled to focus on it, or call him out on it.

“It will work Y/N. This is exactly what the public wants! The girl next door makes the handsome actor fall in love with her! A whole, modern day Cinderella story. They will buy it hook, line, and sinker. Besides, who gets married for love nowadays? Being married to Jensen could open up all kinds of opportunities for you. You wanna go back to school? Travel? Hell, whatever you want! The sky’s the limit!  Plus, you get to crawl in bed with him every night. You don’t necessarily get the short end of the stick here.”

“I don’t know,” she told him, keeping her back to Jensen, even though she could feel him boring holes into the back of her head as he leaned against the little bar in the office with his whiskey.

“You know Y/N, I think you should be grateful,” Jensen stated, his voice cold and hard as it sounded suddenly from behind her. “You know how many women would pay to be in your shoes?”

Mr. Carter shot Jensen a look that said every bit of, ‘shut the fuck up and drink you drink,’ before turning his gaze back to you.

“Y/N, the reason I chose you for this is because I trust you can do it. This is an opportunity of a lifetime, take it sweetheart, take a chance. You never know, you might even fall in love with each other.”

“Doubt it,” Jensen snorted, and Mr. Carter shot him another glar.

“Just ignore him, he’s mad at me, not you.” Mr. Carter assured her, but she didn’t believe him, not really.

“And If I say no?” she asked, and Mr. Carter looked down at his lap for a moment before looking back up at her.

“Then you’d be turning down an opportunity of a lifetime. But it’s your choice.”

Her eyes shifted back to Jensen, who came and sat down next to her, eyes still staring unfeeling at her. It was unnerving. Unnatural. It was like looking into the eyes of a soulless person.

“And if I agree to this, how long do I have before we have to get married?” She asked, and Mr. Carter looked at Jensen, before looking back at her.

“Well… tomorrow,” Mr. Carter said, as Jensen dug a small ring box from his pocket, and tossed it at her. She opened it to find the biggest, most gorgeous diamond ring she had ever seen nuzzled inside, and had she not been in a state of shock before, she would have been now for sure. She was pretty sure she’d never held anything in her hand that was that expensive.”You will be married at the courthouse, justice of the peace, myself, Jensen, and his dad will be there to witness, the announcement will be made from there once it’s over and done to the public.”

“We can work out all of the other details once this is done,” Jensen butted in. “Where we will be living, work for you if you chose to go back to it, etc. So what do you say Y/N, are you gonna take the leap with me? Or are you gonna walk out of that door right now, and miss out on an opportunity that most people would sell their soul for?”

There was something about Jensen’s voice. Something cold, something that told her he hated her. Really hated her. But, there was a little something, a little spark in her heart as his hand touched her own. It said to take a chance. Even if it was hard to do. Even if it hurts for a while. Take a chance, for once in her life. Take a fucking chance.

“Okay, Okay, I’ll do it.”

“I don’t think I can fly back tomorrow.” Your eyes fluttered shut to stop the tears that were threatening to spill. When you opened them back, you saw the look of tremendous guilt and sadness on your boyfriend’s face. You didn’t want to cry in front of him and cloud his mind with more agony yet a stray tear managed to roll down your cheek. “I’m so sorry, sweetheart. The covid protocols are…you know how it is…fuck, I miss you so much and it’s fuckin’ killing me that I can’t be there with you on your birthday.”

“Jay, don’t. It’s not your fault.” You said, placing down the ipad on the table and leaned back on the couch. You always thought the long distance relationship came with too much emotional baggage and pain but you were willing to accept them all because you fell for Jensen so hard and fast and the thought of living without him scared the shit out of you. “Just two more months and then I can move to the States and it’ll be okay.”

“I know but–”

“Jensen…” you sighed.

You didn’t even hear me out.

“What more can you say?”

“I miss you. These face times are not enough anymore. I-I want you…sweetheart, I need you with me, hold you close as I drift off to sleep and wake up with you in my arms. I just…need you here. A-and I’m tryin’ to get through the protocols.” Jensen’s green eyes were clouded with emotions, the loneliness weighing heavily on his shoulders.

“Even if you don’t make it to the flight, know that it’s alright. We’ll make it work. We always do.” You offered him a sad smile. You were seven thousand miles away from him. You knew that if he didn’t get on that flight within the next three hours, he wouldn’t be here with you on your birthday and it sucked. Just like him, you needed him with you. You missed him so bad.

Jensen didn’t say anything for the next few minutes. It was something you did often. No words said. You just wanted to be in each other’s company even if it was through the illuminated screen of your respective electronic devices.

“I love you,” you said to him and he flashed you his most beautiful smile. The type of smile that instantly lit up your world and made you happy. The type of smile you adorned a lot. The type of smile that feels like you’re home. He was your home.

“I love you too.” He said, “I’ll do my best.”

“I know you will, Jay.” He nodded.

It was your birthday but it didn’t feel like one. Since the morning, you hadn’t heard from Jensen and you were worried out of your mind. In the evening, you stood there in your party dress, looking around at the smiling faces of your friends but there was one thing missing. You kept checking your phone. You wanted him to be here so you got your eyes on the door hoping he would walk in any minute but he didn’t. And that’s when the feeling sank in.

You were going to spend your birthday without Jensen.

You blew out the candles, your eyes burning with the unshed tears. You tried to smile for the guests and laugh with your friends but your heart was filled with despair.

It was close to ten. You were lying on your bed after making an excuse of not feeling well. Your close friends had lingered around for a while before they left. That’s when you heard your sister call for you.

You sighed and pulled the covers close to you, not willing to socialise with anyone further. You heard the door creak open.

“Go away,” you grumbled.

“I didn’t spend the last thirteen hours on a flight to hear this, sweetheart.” You sat up and your heart did a somersault in your chest. You knew this voice all too well and you missed hearing the way it reverberated off the walls surrounding you, providing you some deep comfort.

“Jensen?” You sprinted towards the figure of a man lingering at the doorway and crashed into him, colliding with his firm chest as a pair of arms came up to wrap themselves around you. He brought your face to his and kissed your lips. Tears threatened to spill as your lips molded with his. You missed him so much.

He picked you up and you jumped to hook your legs at his waist and he let out a chuckle. With you in his arms, he walked towards the bed and put you down gently on the soft mattress.

“Hi, baby. Happy birthday.” He said.

“Hi.” Your words were a mere whisper as Jensen traced the outline of your face with his finger and placed a chaste kiss on your forehead.

“Where are you goin’?” You asked as he got up to close the door.

“I have something for you.” Jensen said as he closed the door to the room behind him. You wiggled your eyebrows at him and he rolled his eyes. “Get your mind outta the gutter.”

You pouted and he said, “I’m saving that present for later. But first–” he took a deep breath “–I want you to have this.”

You watched as he slowly went down on one knee. Eyes wide, you saw as he pulled out a jewellery box out of his jacket’s pocket. You gasped, standing up while he opened the box in front of you to reveal a ring inside.

“Jens…”

“Y/N, I…Holy shit, I thought this will be easy after practicing for the last five hours straight–” you laughed, a tear rolling down your cheek “–Sweetheart, I had this big, beautiful speech prepared but as soon as I stepped in this room, all I can see, all I think of is you. You remember what I told you last night? I want that, I want you and I want us. Every night when I go to sleep I want to feel you in my arms and know that I’m right where I’m supposed to be and then in the early morning, I want to be woken up by our kids jumping on us demanding breakfast. I’m so grateful for you every second. I’m grateful that somehow in this crazy universe with infinite possibilities, I met you.”

You were clearly sobbing and through the tears you said, “Yay, comic con!”

He chuckled and continued, “In you I have found the love that I never knew I needed. You’re my favourite human in the whole universe. There are many ways to be happy but all I need is you. So Y/N Y/L/N, make me the happiest person in the world and say yes, please?”

“Of course, yes! I will marry you, Jensen Ross Ackles!” You said and he grinned before putting the ring on your finger. He stood up and immediately pulled you for a kiss. It was enchanting and precious.

“I missed you, fuck…” he breathed in with his nose buried in the crook of your neck before moving his mouth to the south. You gasped, pulling your lip in between your teeth to stop the moan that was threatening to leave you as his lips found the sweet spot on your neck.

“Jay…we can't–”

“Why?” He asked.

“Everyone is present downstairs. I don’t trust myself to not make a noise.” You said.

“I just need to feel you. Please,” he panted as he bucked his hips and his bulge grazed past your thighs. A whimper escaped your lips and you knew it would be impossible to not make a noise if Jensen carried on with his actions. But as much as he needed you, you needed him as well. It had been too damn long. So you reached out, roughly trying to get him out of his pants.

He smirked, raising a brow. “We got ten minutes. I need you inside me, now.”

“Yes, ma'am.” He pushed you down on the bed behind you, hiking up your skirt and discarding your panties, before shoving down his pants along with his boxers. He wrapped his palm around his cock, giving it a few strokes before aligning himself with your entrance. His swollen tip nudged at your wet pussy. “Fuck, sweetheart, you’re fuckin’ wet.”

“You have been away for way too long!” You said, followed by a hiss as he pushed himself inside you at a tantalising pace. Your lips fell open to form an ‘O’ as he remained seated inside you, filling you to the brim. He started to move, pulling out to the tip before pushing himself in again, the move making you moan. Once he found his rhythm, he continued to thrust into you and you bucked your hips to match with his moves. His hand moved to rub at your clit and you cried out in utmost pleasure. Even after months of being apart, he knew how to get you going. Deliriously you both chased down your release. His thrusts had become more rough and small groans left his lips, filling the room.

He pressed his thumb against the bundle of nerves on your pussy and you were really close to your climax. His thrusts became erratic and a knot formed in the pit of your stomach.

“Jay–” your moan was ungraciously cut off by a knock on your door. Your eyes widened in shock and the same surprise was clearly evident on Jensen’s face.

“Fuck–” he groaned, his pace faltering a bit but he kept circling his hips to not lose his rhythm. “Answer.”

“What?” You whispered but the look on his face sent a shiver down your back. The thrill of almost getting caught was such a turn on for him. As you opened your mouth to answer to whoever was on the other end of the door, he picked up his pace. Asshole.

You suppressed a moan and asked, “What is it?”

“Is Jensen stayin’ for dinner?” It was your sister who asked the question.

“Y-yeah–” you bit into your lip “–yeah he is.”

“Come for me. I need you to come for me.” You were so close and with another deep thrust, your coil finally snapped as a wave of sheer ecstasy washed over you. The scream that almost left your lips was swallowed by Jensen as he kissed you hard. He continued to fuck you through you release, his thrust never faltering s he closed on to his own climax. A few more thrusts and he spilled into you, coating your walls with his seed and growling when he came. He slowly stopped his thrusts, lazily circling his hips, until he went soft inside you.

“Holy shit!” He chuckled, and pulled out of you. You whimpered at the loss of him.

“Holy shit, indeed.” You panted and kissed the crown of your head softly and towards the bathroom to clean himself up. When you finally found your strength to walk, you followed his lead and went to the bathroom.

“I was gonna bring you a washcloth.” He said and you ruffled his hair, knowing how much he loved washing you and cuddling with you after sex.

“Well thank you for being a gentleman but we need to go downstairs as soon as possible.” You said before stepping in front of him to clean yourself.

It was a little over ten minutes after your sister called you for dinner, that you and Jensen went downstairs. He had cleaned up, changed into a much more comfortable sweatpants and tshirt and brushed his sex hair but the post coitus bliss on both your face was clearly visible and it got a raised brow from your sister. If the others had taken notice, they refrained from saying anything which soon turned into a huge ruckus of congratulations when you announced your engagement.

Later that night, you and Jensen were lying on the couch with your sister sitting in the chair as you three watched a movie when she said, “I can’t keep covering for your asses.”

“What do you mean?”

“You guys were so not quiet. Thankfully, I turned up the music!” Your mouth fell open and a heat of embarrassment crept up your neck while Jensen just laughed.

“Can’t help it when my fiancée is so hot.” Jensen said.

“Ew. Jensen, that’s my sister, you’re talking about.” She scrunched up her nose in disgust, “You guys are insufferable! I’m going to bed. Don’t you dare christen the couch with your nonsense!”

“Can’t make any promises!” You and Jensen yelled back together and when your sister gagged, you both laughed loudly and continued to watch the movie.

The end credits rolled in. You sighed, letting your head rest against his chest. He kissed your head, whispering, “I love you.”

Signed another man

This fic was inspired by the song I’ll link below. If you really wanna get the feels I suggest listening to it.

Mymasterlist

I checked the clock on the wall for what seemed like the millionth time. It showed it was a little after ten and I still hadn’t drunk enough to be able to fall asleep without seeing her. There wasn’t much of a crowd here tonight, max the bartender stood behind the bar wiping down glasses and just staring out at the few people who were in here tonight. I downed the rest of my scotch I motioned for another, he just walked up slowly pouring me another round before he spoke.

“Slow night tonight.” I just nod and take a long gulp and welcome the burn from the alcohol. He put down the white rag he had been holding in front of me, leaning against the bar in front of me he sighed heavily. “She still hasn’t come around?”

I shook my head, sighing along with him. “Dont think she ever will.”

“What makes you think that?” Max tilts his head to the side.

I chuckle slightly before taking another long drink from the glass, hoping the burn will stop my heart from hurting so much. “She moved on man.”

He shook his head, “I doubt that. Yall were great together, anyone could see the love you two had for each other.”

“Trust me, she’s done with me. She’s got someone else.” It hurt like hell to say that out loud but the truth was the truth. A group of men sat down at the bar across from where I was sitting, max said he’d be back in a minute and walked over to get them their drinks. As I finished off the rest of mine and placed my glass down on the bar top I realize I know the one guy in the group of three. It’s him, y/n’s new boyfriend. I’ve never met the man myself but I did see him with her about a week ago when I ran into her.

Jared and I sat on the bench at the park watching his kids were running around and playing. As I watched the kids play I couldn’t help but wish that you were there with me. Jared nudged my shoulder pulling me from my thoughts, “how you doing man?”

I sigh and shake my head, “surviving.”

Jared’s eyes went back to watching his kids, “yeah, have you tried calling her?”

“No, she wouldn’t answer even if I did."  I rub my hands together as I lean forward resting my forearms on my thighs.

"She might, but you have to try."

I scoff, "man she hates me, the things I said to her. That was some harsh shit.”

Jared chuckled, leaning forward as I was. “Couples have arguments, me and gen have had some pretty bad ones. But in the end we worked through it because we love each other. Trust me, I had to swallow my pride several times to make things right. And you know what?” He didnt continue until I looked at him, “It was worth it. Yeah it may have been difficult at first but look what I have now. I wouldn’t have had this beautiful life if I had let my pride get in the way.”

I let his words sink in, had I been letting my pride get in the way of my happiness? He smiled at me and clapped me on the shoulder, I smiled in return “I think I’m gonna…”

“Get outta here man.” He laughed as I stood from the bench quickly making my way across the grass. I waved to the kids as I fished my phone out of my pocket, scrolling through the contacts until I found her name. My finger hovered over the call button but just as I was about to push it I heard her voice.

“Jensen?” There she stood in a beautiful yellow strapless dress her hair flowing around her as the summer breeze blew around us. She stood there her eyes wide in shock probably the same as mine.

I chuckled and smiled as I put my phone back in my pocket. “I was just getting ready to call you. Talk about perfect timing.” Her eyes scanned the park avoiding my gaze. “You look amazing.” I stepped closer to her, she crossed her arms across her chest as her eyes cast down to her feet.

“What are you doing here?” Her voice was distant and cold. I couldnt blame her though I’m sure she hates me, but Jared’s words were still ringing I my mind and I had to try.

“I wanted to talk to you, do you have a minute?”

I could see the wheels in her head turning as she thought it over. “I don’t think..”

“Just five minutes. Please.”

She sighed heavily and checked her watch, she looked at me with a raised brow, “fine, five minutes. That’s it because I have things to do.”

I smiled and nodded, I spotted a bench a few feet away and gestured towards it. “Can we sit?” She looked behind her then back at me, she wasn’t going to make this easy. “Please.”

She let out a breath, “fine.” She turned not waiting for me and walked to the bench. She crossed her legs and folded her hands over her knees. I sat down beside her, her perfume wafting in my nostrils and my heart fluttered in my chest. “Are you going to talk or just stare at me?”

I chuckled at her words, God how I have missed her. I watched as her hair floated in the breeze, her grey eyes sparkled in the summer sun and her lips so luscious and pink. Her skin was tanner than it had been since I last saw her. “You look amazing. Absolutely beautiful.” I went to tuck a piece of her hair behind her ear but she moved away.

“Dont, jensen.” She tucked the hair behind her ear, “if you dont mind I’d like to get this over with.”

“Right.” I swallowed but my mouth had suddenly went dry. “I want to apologize.”

“For?”

“That night, I said alot of horrible things and I realize now that I didn’t mean a single word I said.” I watch as her expression never wavers, I clear my throat and continue. “I have been absolutely miserable for the past two months and I know it’s my fault.”

She chuckled, “yeah that’s a given.”

I sighed, “the house is so empty without you. There’s no life to it, there’s no life to me anymore.”

She looked away, “you really hurt me. More than anyone has ever hurt me before.”

I heard the tremble in her voice, “I know and I’m so sorry."  I place my hand over one of hers, "but if you’ll let me, I’ll spend the rest of my life making it up to you."  Her eyes met mine and I could see the unshed tears there, she smiled sadly at me and pulled her hand away.

"Jensen, I’m glad you realize now that you have made a mistake and I accept your apology, but I’m sorry.” She wiped her eyes, “what it took you two months to realize, I knew the second I met you. I knew how miserable my life would be without you. I knew I never wanted to be without you but what you said to me that night crushed me. It showed me that you and I were never on the same page.”

“But that’s the thing.” I rushed to get the words out because her words were tearing me apart. “We are on the same page and we were then too. I was just to dumb to realize it. Just give me another chance please.”

She stood from the bench wiping another stray tear from her cheek. “I’m sorry Jensen. I moved on.” My heart shattered all over again at her words. Her eyes filled with more tears that she tried to hold back. “ and you suggest you do the same."  I looked up into those beautiful eyes and saw the pain behind the facade she was putting on, "bye jensen.”

I watched as she walked away, a man waved in her direction and she waved back. That must be him. He engulfed her in a hug, I watched as worry replaced his happy smile as his fingers wiped her tears away. She was shaking her head and he glanced in my direction before wrapping his arms around her shoulders leading her away.

My eyes stayed on him for a few more moments before max appeared before me. “Another round?”

I nodded and as he refilled my glass I pulled one of the large napkins from behind the counter. “You got a pen?” I ask he raises a brow at me and pulled one from his shirt pocket. “Thanks.” He nodded and left me to my drink, I glanced at the man across the bar one more time before I uncapped the pen and began to write.

‘You don’t know me and I don’t know you but you and I both love the same woman. I just wanted to give you some important info that I took for granted when I had the honor to be with the most amazing woman in the world. She loves movie nights, anything romantic or funny but her favorites is the classics. The old black and white ones that are so cheesy but to see her smile as the scenes play out makes it all worth watching. She also loves sitting on the porch watching the summer rain with a glass of red wine, when you wrap your arms around her on the porch swing she will sigh in contentment and you’ll have your whole world right there and think to yourself could it get any better. She had a amazing sense of humor and needs someone who can make her smile and laugh, those small little moments is what she wants the most. You may not know it but she talks to mom on the phone while she thinks you’re not listening about babies and raising them in her dream country home. I couldnt fit everything in on this napkin but it’s just a few things I think you should know, things I took for granted.  So cherish every moment you have with her and love her the best way you can. Be everything I can’t. Signed another man.’

As I replace the cap on the pen I let out a long shaky breath, I motion for max and he looks at me questionably seeing as I didn’t need a refill. “Hey man can you do me a favor?” He nods, “see that guy across the way there, the one in the middle?” He glances behind him and nods when he looks back at me. “Can you pass this along with his next drink, but dont tell him it’s from me.”

Max hesitantly takes the napkin and glanes over the words, “you sure?”

“Yeah.” I smile sadly at him and he places the napkin I his shirt pocket waiting for then to finish his beer. I sip on my scotch as I wait as well and finally he motions for another round. I watch as his two friends walk out of the bar and as max places another beer in front of him. My heart drops as max pulls the makeshift note out of his pocket and hands it to him. They exchange a few words and then max retreats eyeing me for a moment.

When I finish off my scotch max walks over asking if I need another. I nod, “thanks for helping me out man.”

“That had to be tough.” He says as he places my glass back down.

“One of the hardest things I had to ever do. But she’ll be better off now that he knows.” I say watching as the man reads the note. His brow furrows while he does so and I fight back the tears because I know I just gave him the play by play to be the man of y/n’s dreams. The things I knew when we were together but never appreciated.

I look down at my scotch, suddenly the alcohol didn’t seem so appealing to me. I handed max a few bills and thanked him for the drinks. Before I stood up I watched as the man started looking around the bar I guess trying to find a familiar face to go along with the note. As I walk slowly to the door I see he looks over at me and recognizes me after a moment. I nod and smile sadly at him and walk out of the bar, now she can be truly happy even if I never will be.
