“I’ll make you see me as a man”

Jeongin (stray kids) one shot

You were at the dance studio watching Hyunjin,Felix and Jeongin practice. They were practicing their specific part for one of their new songs that was going to be released soon, and they wanted to get it perfect, so there would be no issues when dancing with the whole group.

You watched the three of them dance effortlessly, with a little smile on your lips, feeling proud of how well they all danced. After some time they finally decided to end the practice for the day, they felt like they still needed to practice a bit more, even though you thought it looked perfect.

“That’s because you’re our Noona. Of course you think everything we do is perfect.” Hyunjin said rolling his eyes when you told him that.

“We appreciate you for thinking it looks perfect. But there a couple things we still need to work on.” Felix said while giving you a warm smile.

“Well either way, you guys looked super cool while dancing!” You said excitedly.

“Oh yeah?” Felix said blushing slightly. “Well glad to hear that.”

“You think we just look “cool”?” Hyunjin chimed in. “Nothing else.”

“No no. Of course you guys also looked amazing and very handsome while you danced.” You in a matter-of-fact tone.

“I think you are forgetting about us being super sexy and hot.” Hyunjin said, pouting slightly.

“Yeah yeah, sure.” You said rolling your eyes. Of course you did think this, but you would never say it to their faces, only to other stays.

“Thanks for watching. We always appreciate when you do.” Felix said. “Anyway, I’m gonna head to the dorms. I just want to shower and lay in bed. I’m exhausted.”

“Me too. First one there gets the shower first.” Hyunjin said running towards to exit.

“Oi! It was my idea first!” Felix shouted while running after him.

You shook your head while laughing softly while looking at the two of them run out of the room. Then you turned to your right to look at Jeongin, who hadn’t said a single thing this whole time, which made you worry.

“Jeongin, are you okay?” You asked walking over to him. “You haven’t said anything this whole.”

He was leaning on one of the mirrors with his arms crossed and a little pout on his lips. You couldn’t help out think he was adorable.

“Did you think I was cool while dancing?” He asked not looking directly at you.

You let our a chuckle as you went over to him and cupped his face in your hands. “Of course I thought my baby was super cool while he danced.”

“Ugh, Noona.” Jeongin grabbing your hands off his face and holding onto them. “I’m not a baby!”

“You are the youngest-“ he cut you off.

“Felix and Hyunjin are only a year older than me but you don’t think they’re babies. You think they’re cool and manly. Which is unfair.”

You looked at him not sure what to say. It was true you didn’t baby any of the other members like Jeongin, you just couldn’t help yourself when you saw him, you just wanted to baby him. You did think he was cool and manly, but you also just wanted to squish his cheeks and call him adorable.

“Well, I-I’m not sure what to say. I don’t mean to baby you, it just happens. I see you and I just want to protect you. I can’t help it.” You said furrowing your eyebrows.

“You know I’m a man right? I’m a man like any of the other members. I might be the youngest, but that doesn’t mean I’m a baby. I am an adult, you know?” Jeongin said leaning in a bit to look you in the eyes. “Do you see me as a man, at all?”

Your heart started to beat faster at the sudden closeness of his face and his question. You started to think about it. You saw the three oldest members as men; they were strong and capable, even if they acted like children sometimes. The 00 line you saw them as men, but also as immature at times. And then there was Jeongin, who you just always babied. You knew he was an adult, but you just couldn’t explain why you just didn’t see him as a man like the others.

“I can’t explain why I don’t.. I know you are an adult.. but to me you’re like my baby.” You said shyly not looking him in the eyes.

“Hm, I suppose I will just have to make you see me as a man then.” He said, grabbing you by the shoulders, turning quickly, switching places with him. He pinned you gently against the wall, hands still on your shoulder and leaned down towards your ear. “How about now?”

You looked at him in shock. You weren’t expecting him to do something like that. Your heart was racing.

“I-I” you stuttered not being able to say anything as you felt your face get flushed.

He moved a little so he could see you face and smirked. “You’re so cute when you’re fluster, Noona.”

“J-jeongin, what are you doing?” You managed to get out, though it was hard for you to remain calm.

He came closer to your face until your noses were touching, which made your close your eyes due to his actions.

“Am I making you nervous?” He asked smugly.

“Y-yes. So please back up.” You said, still having your eyes closed, not trusting yourself to open them. You would most certainly have a heart attack if you actually saw how close his face was.

“Only if you answer my question: Do you see me as a man?”

“Y-yes! Clearly I do or else I wouldn’t be reacting this way. Now please back up” you stammered out.

“Okay. Thank you.” Jeongin said releasing you. “Now that you see me as a man. Winning your heart will be much easier.”

“Eh!?” You said freezing. He seemed to want you to have a heart attack or something.

“Jeez, noona. I suppose you never noticed my attempts since you saw me as a child. But just be aware I will be trying even harder than before.” He said as he came over to you and gave you a peck on the cheek. “Just one of many to win your heart.”

He winked at you and then turned to walk away. You just stared at him, shocked by his boldness and sudden confession. Things were starting to make sense now, looking back and realizing he had been flirting with you. You had always thought he was handsome, and funny, and you got on well with him the most. But you were a few years older than him so you just didn’t think it would be right to have any feelings for him, so instead you decided to baby him instead.

As you watched him leave, you felt disappointed, you thought he was going to kiss you, which made you blush thinking that. You had seen him as a baby just until a moment ago and now you were already having thoughts like that about him? You were upset with yourself, but you realized you had liked him this whole time, but because of the age difference you felt a little weird about it, and that’s why you treated him the way you did.

“Jeongin wait.” You blurted out as your fave started to flush.

He turned around and looked at your flustered state. “Hm? What is it, Noona? Do you need something?”

You knew he was teasing you now. You couldn’t believe he was able to act like this. “Well, I.. um.. oh nevermind”

You were too embarrassed to say anything. You couldn’t tell him you DID have feelings for him because he probably wouldn’t believe you. You heart started to beat fast when you saw him walk towards you.

“Oh come on, please tell me. I think whatever you have to say, I want to hear.”

You closed your eyes and clenched your hands into fists. Trying to calm yourself a little bit. “Jeongin.. I-I think I do have feelings for you. I think I always have but because I’m older I didn’t feel it was right. So.. I- that’s all I wanted to say.”

You heard him laugh as he approached you. He cupped your face in his hands. “Oh noona, you are much cuter and more like a baby than me.” He placed his forehead on yours. “And by that I mean I will treat you right and take care of you. Even if I am younger, I can support you and help you through anything. Age doesn’t matter when it comes to love, does it?”

“I-I suppose not.” You said blushing even hard at his words. “Let’s take care of each other.”

He laughed. “Okay. It’s a deal.” He leaned in and gave you a soft and delicate kiss.

You melted into the kiss, being able to feel his love and affection for you through it.
