Japan is (sadly) known for its wrong use of English. Most of the time I get a chuckle, but sometimes I’m just left completely confused haha. These gave me quite a laugh.
Summer break has started! The students cleaned the school (hey me too!) and now I desk-warm for a month. Well at least I’ll be going to Okinawa in a few weeks. :) Now that I have a lot of free time I’ll be sketching more.
My weekend involved karaoking in a shady spot of Tokyo (that just so happened to be Final Fantasy themed), eating breakfast at Tsukiji market, driving in Go-Karts on the streets of Tokyo with no helmets, and eating Shuriken-shaped crackers at a Ninja restaurant. Totally successful weekend.
Today Japanese people in Tokyo learned what the English on their shirt meant. 0/10 knew what their shirt had written on them. Then they interviewed this girl on the street and explained to her the meaning of “Holy S#*t” since it was on her shirt. She immediately became embarrassed. The English translator had her say it with him with proper pronunciation.
