It’s that lovely time of year again!

I visited the Dragon Ball cafe in Osaka! This one wasn’t as casual as the one in Tokyo, but it still had a creative menu~ The Saibamen Tapioca Milk Tea was adorable!

I visited the Initial D Cafe in Gunma prefecture. I highly recommend their soy milk pudding! We went to the same starting line as the manga, too while blasting some Eurobeat! XD

I visited Fukui prefecture with some friends for a scavenger hunt. The JETs there are so friendly!! If you’re getting placed there, you’re in for a great time!

You can get a Dragon Ball Super toy in a Happy Meal from McDonald’s! I hear Goku is rare though. All the nuggets!

GU is having a Golden Week sale on their Dragon Ball apparel! For only about $5 you can buy a DB shirt! I bought too much stuff~ Yes, even cute boxers!

When guests visit my elementary school, they must take off their shoes at the entrance. I’m not sure if other schools have a different system, but they can either leave their outdoor shoes on the mat or carry them in a plastic bag. Even after three years of living here it’s still strange to see haha.

Made a conbini run and found some DBZ gum and Matcha cup ramen!!?

Japan, we need to have a talk… Please ask an English speaker to proofread something BEFORE you wear it around! I nearly spit out my coffee when I saw this pop up on tv last night. Apparently a government welfare section in Kanagawa has been wearing these since 2007. They wore them as a way to increase morale in and out of the office. They’re banned now because the motto offended some welfare recipients.

What a great time to be in Japan if you’re a DBZ lover! They’re doing a DBZ stamp rally throughout Tokyo. Collect all 65 stamps from various stations and you get a prize! You can also ride on Nimbus in Ikebukuro! :)

The running joke on Calpis has finally made it to Japan. This was on the morning news.

In Japan you’ll find old women “Obaachans” dying their hair purple or some crazy shade of color. It’s something I’ve noticed in the city and even in the countryside. I like it! I just wish it weren’t only for old women. XD The say it’s because they feel with their age it’s okay to dye their hair. It’s funny because it’s the opposite in America. Most older women try to wear a natural color, whereas, younger kids dye their hair “funky” colors.

Face masks in Japan are on a completely different level!

Not sure if this applies to every gym in Japan, but at mine you use slippers for your indoor shoes when you use the restroom.

Japan is (sadly) known for its wrong use of English. Most of the time I get a chuckle, but sometimes I’m just left completely confused haha. These gave me quite a laugh.

My weekend involved karaoking in a shady spot of Tokyo (that just so happened to be Final Fantasy themed), eating breakfast at Tsukiji market, driving in Go-Karts on the streets of Tokyo with no helmets, and eating Shuriken-shaped crackers at a Ninja restaurant. Totally successful weekend.
