“Don’t you want a secret ingredient?”

“Huh! Did you make this?”

Well, yeah. It’s just a whim… “

"It’s chocolate and it’s good, thanks!”

“Hmm, good for you…

(Come to think of it, I wonder what that secret ingredient was…)

"Uh, ohoh what is this? My body is like a magnet…!

"Get away from me, you piercing pervert… somebody! Somebody help me!”

“Oh, it’s not my fault…! What’s going on!?”

REREADING THE MANGA ANNNND OKAY THIS ONE IMAGE

HAS LEFT ME WITH SO MANY QUESTIONS.

The foreshadowing is pretty obvious, but WHAT is it foreshadowing? Look at the figure in the middle. It’s pretty ambiguous who that is.

It has a knife, like Hanako. It has the uniform, but we know Tsukasa likes to dress up as Hanako sometimes. It doesn’t have a seal. My guess it’s that it could be Tsukasa, because look at the Kokujoudai. Soooo,

Does this mean that Hanako is the imposter, and the real Mystery number 7 is Tsukasa?

Or that the Tsukasa that we know is not actually the real Tsukasa (since we know the real one is still stuck in the Red House as a 4 yo, and the one we saw before the Red House Arc was all Something Else that Took Tsukasa’s Form?), meaning that he’s the imposter?

Are NEITHER the real number 7, since this figure here doesn’t even have the seals?

Or are they BOTH number 7?

I started re reading JSHK and I noticed this—-

Is it just me or does this doll look a lot like Tsukasa? Why would there be a Tsukasa doll in Number 2’s boundary? (We know those dolls are just simple minions, they don’t have a mind on their own). Or is this perhaps just a foreshadow of Tsukasa’s existence (given that he hasn’t appeared yet at this point of the manga)? Or a reference that the Tsukasa we will meet first is not the real one (given what we recently learned in the Red House arc)??

Oh that’s interesting!

Because Tsukasa said Sakura helped him to come back.

And what did Sakura?

She changed Yako’s rumors and wanted Nene to go to the boundary. After the Yorishiro was destroyed she said everything went well.

So what if Tsukasa was defeated by Yako a long time ago and has been lying there as a doll, similar to Kou and Aoi.

And the first step in getting Tsukasa back was to destroy Yako’s Yorishiro.

This also raises the question of how tf was Sakura able to communicate with Tsukasa if he was a doll? ((Or, actually, how was Sakura able to communicate with Tsukasa AT ALL, given that Tsukasa grants wishes only for the death?))

I’m not sure if he only fulfills wishes of the dead. He said he fulfills the wishes of everyone.

But maybe he can’t be summoned of the living right now. Hanako also said he can only be summoned by people who will soon die.

And it’s right what you said about the rumors. That’s why I’m not sure what Sakura really is. But Mitsuba thinks she is supernatural.

And I don’t know how exactly changing rumors works. It looks like a broadcast, but I think it isn’t a normal one.

It seems the broadcast is going in the form of thoughts right into the minds of some students.

Isn’t it strange, that Nene never knew about the rumors before Aoi told her?

Tsukasa said that him and Hanako were opposites, and where Hanako grants wishes for the living, he grants wishes for the dead. And we know people close to death like Nene are still in Hanako’s realm, so that would make Sakura supernatural, right?

As for changing rumors, I do think it’s a normal broadcast. We see Nene change rumors just from casually talking to her shoolmates. Nothing special is needed, just the public’s general belief about the supernatural in question needs to be swayed.

Forgot to add: i dont think you need to be human to change rumors? I think you just need to be able to interact with the human world. We know hanako can only be seen by humans close to death or involved in the supernatural world, so he can’t change rumors himself. Probably safe to assume the same for Tsukasa. So they would both need help changing rumors. And we know with tsuchigomori, who is a mystery and a teacher, that some supernaturals can be seen by all humans and interact with them. So yeah, I don’t think Sakura is necessarily human

But if it weren’t necessary for a human to be the one changing rumors, why couldn’t Supernaturals/Mysteries like Tsuchigomori change them? Instead of Hanako having to find an assistant? We know Tsuchigomori and Hanako are close enough for Hanako to ask that favor to Tsuchigomori. But also, yeah, Tsukasa, as the opposite of Hanako, should obly be able to grant wishes to the death…

I don’t think the broadcast is anything special, but the rumors themselves are. Like we saw with the Confession Tree: it suddenly grew, and yet, Yashiro seemed to be the only one who questioned since when had the tree been there, but didn’t think too much of it. Akane, a mystery, fell for it, too. My conclusion is that Rumors can alter people’s memories and perceptions.

@hania-chan that’s true. The fact that Sakura could even become Tsukasa’s assitant (through making a wish) should point toward her not being human… but, if I’m not mistaken, only humans can change rumors, no? That’s why both Hanako and Tsukasa needed human assistants.

((Sorry, this is my sideblog and Idk how to answer comments))

pwurrz:

hanako is so different around his brother it’s. unnerving

hanako normally:

hanako when tsukasa’s around:

Idk what happened to him but… it must be something horrible. I WANT to think that his reaction is only due to the trauma of having killed “Tsukasa”, but… idk. Maybe it could be more than just that… the way he freezes up is not normal… it’s more than just fear, it’s straight up trauma…

daikonsenpai-deactivated2022041:

So I think Tsukasa licked Amane’s tears back in Chapter 20–

Is the memory of them being little kids before of after Tsukasa’s “disappearance”? (I can’t find the chapter ) Because if it’s after—- remember that supernaturals can transmit/acquire power/curses/ties by ingesting body parts/fluids: Mitsuba became a Mystery by ingesting number three’s heart; Yashiro became tied to the supernatural/Hanako/gor cursed by ingesting that mermaid scale; she would have become a princess by ingesting the mermaid’s blood; Tsuchigomori ingested a sort of butterfly-looking thing that we don’t really know what it is but it’s been made clear that it is not a regular bug… in other words, eating is powerful. So maybe drinking tears (just like drinking blood or eating hearts) also does something??
