✨ “The more representation there is, the more normalized we can get, and we move on to society where having a disability isn’t clickbait or something “inspirational.” It’s a philosophy that model and actress @JillianMercado has held on to since her youth, when she quickly noticed that no one on magazine covers or her TV screen looked like her. “I didn’t have this sort of representation that we’re seeing now. I was born in 1987, and I remember I only had television, radio and printed magazines to go and see myself being represented in those kinds of mediums or platforms, and I was really sad that I didn’t see anyone like myself.”
