Watching NHL Without a Map Season 10 episode 6, Juuse Saros and Eeli Tolvanen of the Nashville Predators (April 15, 2022)
Some highlights:
Juuse has a new dog, a rescue dog called Nala! They have now two, Kesä and Nala. They get along well. Breed: unknown, looks a little like a labrador. “We cared for her for a week but she was so nice that we decided to keep her.”

When asked “Did you flex your thighs for the All Stars thigh display pic?” Juuse says it was all just good lighting and genes, he didn’t flex for the photographer. “I paid no attention to the camera:”
Juuse didn’t have his own gear in the All Stars skills competition, they had been on a delayed FedEx flight. He got his own for the game. He talked a little with Kaprizov even though he doesn’t speak much English, Pavelski who was nice, and hung out with the goalies.
Have you guys seen the eye tattoo? I have never noticed!
Favorite pizza toppings: Pepperoni, blue cheese, bell pepper and red onion
Their coach has promised to buy the team dinner if they have the most fights this season
Which goalie would Juuse fight if a huge scrum broke out? “I don’t know, it would have to be someone short”
Eeli says he is going to fight Anton Lundell in their next game (I don’t think he did)
The Preds Finns watch Temptation Island and Ex On The Beach
Juuse listens to Finnish morning radio shows in the car (Aamulypsy & Viki ja Köpi!) and doesn’t like country music, but he won’t tell anyone bc Nashville.
Preds locker room have an open playlist where the players can add their own tunes, the boys have only added Finnish music on it if they’re alone in the room or the gym
Live is Life by Opus, an European 80’s pop tune that everyone in Finland knows as the Tappara Tampere goal song, had been on before the game a couple of times and everyone loved it, but then they didn’t get wins and it had to go
An addition:
The most important thing Juuse has learned from Pekka? “Just be an amazing person and work hard.”
When Pekka was still playing, Juuse had to face the hard shots at practice, nobody would dare to aim high at Pekka out of respect. Now Juuse has the senior position.
Eeli says its great to play on a team where you can practice with goalies who really hold a high standard at practice and go for the save on each puck
Oulu summer training buddies. A symbiotic goalie tandem. Can these two realities work together?
I have outlined the work to be posted in three chapters, and most of the text is pre-written. The tags and the rating are because of all the content; the first chapter alone would be more in the line of T rating, focused on relationships and feelings, but the later ones will have heaps of smut.
