i know my school is obviously focused on math and science (‘institute of technology’ in its name and whatnot) but like…somehow it didn’t really hit me how much more focused it was until i saw some old friends’ college course schedules on facebook
their schedule is all like: intro to art through paris museums; kafka literature; french; piano instruction; world politics
meanwhile my schedule next term, i have 2 math classes, 1 physics class, 1 chem class, and 2 compsci classes. as a freshman, i haven’t even officially declared my major yet, im just taking my core classes and a few other ones
