Random Headcannons of the Day:

The Kawata twins have a vegetable garden in their backyard, and Souya is its primary caretaker.

When they were kids, they used to help their mother with tilling the soil and watering the plants, but Nahoya has a ferocious black thumb, so he often ends up drowning the seedlings, then blaming it on Souya (naturally, the younger twin cries over this and he gets a slipper to the ass afterwards).

Souya’s crops could be mistaken for store-bought vegetables with how well they grow. He’s made a pastime out of gardening, and puts more effort into it than his own studies, much to their parents’ mixed dismay and pride. Thanks to that, their meals are immaculately fresh and it’s made the twins quite picky about the food they eat. Soups and stews in particular, became hard to top, so when they finally had the money, they wanted to make their own cuisine that matched their standards, with all the veggies fresh from their garden.
