it’s not that i want to push sexuality on anyone or out anyone but taylor’s not even trying anymore. the only thing she hasn’t dont is explicitly say “i’m bi” or whatever she may identify as. She dressed in the Bi flag colors, constantly writes songs with extremely sapphic undertones, and advocates strongly for the LGBTQ+ community. The only reason more ppl don’t realize it is the heteronormative culture we live in. and frankly i don’t blame taylor for not coming out (if she is bi) because she would probably face a lot of hate because a lot of people hate her for whatever she does
as much as i love to listen to taylor songs just because i like the sound, knowing context and thinking about the webs she’s created in her music gives me so much joy that only a few other artists can give me

On a similar note, ppl refusing to see the relationships in songs like seven because “they could just be rly close friends you never know” is pretty ridiculous. Yes close female friendships are a thing duh, and if it was an artist who has had literally no reference to being attracted to women, then going down the friendship route is solid but in this case, there are just hundreds of signs pointing towards ✨gay✨ and if u refuse to acknowledge it u need to sort out ur internalized homophobia
tbh it makes a lot of sense for the 3rd person in the Folklore love triangle to be named August. Like yes, it’s a summer month, but it’s one of the only months that is also a relatively common name. Also we know this relationship between James and August girl began at the school dance, so likely in May/June. But in august, taylor just sings about august slipping away into a moment in time not the other months. It’s from the unknown girl’s perspective, but saying August (I) slipped away into a moment in time could be her saying that to James, she meant almost nothing and she knows that.
Look I get that its tradition for the Harry fans and Taylor fans to be at odds but can we please unite over the indisputable fact that they are both queer af and their songs are about same sex sweethearts?
So Taylor sings a song about a woman that only clarifies the narrator is ‘James’ (because Drew Barrymore doesn’t exist, am I right) like over three minutes in, on a guitar with rainbow strings at the CMA’s, and ya’ll hets are gonna say ‘she’s just such a storyteller’.
