There’s national boyfriend, Gong Taesung too. Hey! He’s a celebrity. Aren’t celebrities people too? Be honest with me. Everyone in this country loves him. If you’re human, you had to have been attracted to him at least once. Absolutely no way. Not even once. A strong denial is an affirmation. A strong denial is just denial. If you fall for a celebrity, you can’t work in this industry.
When was your most dramatic moment in life? Do I have to pick one? Luckily, there were a lot of dramatic moments in my life. When I graduated from college. When my movie sold ten million tickets. When I won the first Best Actor Award. When I went to Africa.Gosh. What is this? She was in all of those moments.
Last time I watched this man in a drama I was laughing at his every scene because he was an ignorant and cliché character in a comic book world (and the only one unaware of it lol)… And to be fair Gong Taesung has his own share of ignorance and cliches, but Kim YoungDae has proven he’s very much male lead material for romcoms. I’m kinda surprised tbh. I wasn’t expecting to like him this much.
As for the romance, the show didn’t need time building it up, because it was already there when we started ep 1. Instead of the OTP meeting and getting to know each other, the audience was given clues and flashbacks to know them and realize their history. And I gotta say that’s one the things that drew me in the most, because it just felt so different from what we are used to see in kdrama romances, it felt fresh. So I understand that with OTP finally together, it’s time for everything else to fall apart.
But these two are so cute for this world and so good for each other! I know that for plot reasons and as per drama logic they can’t be this sweet forever, and that conflict needs to happen, but I need more dating bliss! Because look at them!! They’re adorable!
Well, they really went the sasaeng/antifan route huh? But they said, let’s make her rich, which is only creepier.

So, to recap, this woman really wanted to be his sugar mommy (because we all agree that was what it was, right?) and Taesung refused lol so she decided to be his anti and be remembered by him in a very unpleasant manner instead. (Someone needs to tell me Taesung is going to therapy already… wasn’t there a warning of super high levels of stress in like ep 3?).
But this is… really something else. In a way it’s even childish but of course no kid’s tantrum is as expensive nor it leaves such an unsettling feeling. She really said I’m gonna giveaway a bunch of this so you know they mean nothing and you’re no special in any way. Yikes. But what crazy ahjumma fails to see is that it’s not the necklace itself, but the meaning behind it and who gave it to her (and freaking put it on her!!!) are what make the gift unique and that’s something she will neverhave. As disgusted and enraged as I was by this scene, I’m consoled by that.
Anyway, this is when I truly felt this is the same director as FMIYM because it’d seem this sense of creepiness is their specialty lol Now I’m wondering if we have changed genres and are now in thriller territory (because that went dark real fast in FMIYM). I hope not. I need more laughs from this show. Pretty please.
