Just thinking about the fact that the Curry arc was the only arc in the whole Kuroshitsuji manga in which Ciel wasn’t put in extreme distress and the only arc were he wasn’t tramutized or was a witness to any sort of murder.
This is extremely telling to how Soma and Agni are as characters. It also shows us the significance of Soma to Ciel specifially. Sure, Soma stressed Ciel out at times and annoyed him but that was it—he never crossed the line and never made Ciel feel emotionally drained or sad.
Soma and Agni have never hurt Ciel, what actually hurt Ciel was that someonekilled Agni and hurt Soma.
The saddest thing about this chapter is how Soma perceive how much people,life and world can be cruel.Agni was the one who has gone throught it all before he met Soma,and since then Agni was protecting him,only allowing him to see the brightest side of everything and everyone.
They were much more than ‘butler andmaster’.They were friends, but still,Agni continued to treat him with a measure of respect. Now, we can see some parallels between Our Ciel and Soma. Both lived a life filled with love, suddenly lost loved ones and were left to themselves. They have changed as individuals and have to lead a completely different life.
Also, they both choose the way of revenge, because that’s the only thing left for them.
As for Agni, we know how he lived before he met Soma, and under what conditions he activated the ’power of the goddessKali’ (when he was very angry).In chapter 148 we see Soma who has beaten a couple of people without any help, and the blood leaks from his eyes. He also has a bandage around his hand, which is probably due to the injuries he got from the gun. Closer,maybe Soma is able to use the same power as Agni had.
Now, this chapter still leaves many questions. How Soma came to Agni’s body, where he was cremating, what happened to Sieglinde and Wolfram? Where’s Soma going? Whether he returns to India (as it was the Agni’s wish) or he is looking for Our Ciel. He did not wonder why this all happened, presumably, he only thinking about Agni and how he will avenge him.
Anyway, I’m very sad for Soma and because of everything that happened to him. He was (like Agni and Lizzie) one of the characters that are brighter side of this manga.I hope that he will not do something hastily and that the whole thing between Our Ciel and him will be better.

In the latest chapter Layla was tasting both Bard’s and Lau’s blood.
Both times, she referred to their blood as her food. Since she is a Bizarre Doll (most likely Vega) that probably means that both Bard and Lau have the same blood type - Vega’s blood type (which should be O).
Now we know for sure that Layla is a Bizarre Doll and that she’s working for Undertaker and real Ciel.
She’s most likely one of the “Star Lords” and judging by their rooms Lord Vega seems the most fitting choice. Vega’s room looks like it’s a room for girls.
And Undertaker did say that Vega was on a trip to procure “food” (i.e. blood) for the twin, which also fits for Layla because she’s overseeing the sanatorium - one of the places collecting blood for the twin.
However, I wonder because Vega’s room looks like it’s for two people and when Vega was talking behind closed doors it also seemed as if there were two people inside:
So if there’s another Vega maybe Layla isn’t alone in that sanatorium. Maybe this “Al” she was calling for when being shot by Bard is the second Vega?
Of course, Al could also be someone else, maybe another Star Lord, like Polaris. He could have been sent to assist Vega. Or Al’s not a Bizarre Doll at all but a member of the Aurora Society or someone else sent by Undertaker to watch over Vega. Still, I like to think that Vega is two people and if that’s true there’s a good chance that Layla was calling fot the second Vega “Al”.
