Corpse Bride (2005)

finished Coraline drawing for a friend (and inktober)! I was trying to go for a comic book/manga vibe :-)

The film adapts a story by The Decemberists’ Colin Meloy and illustrator Carson Ellis — a book trilogy following Prue and her friend Curtis as they adventure through the “Impassable Wilderness” called Wildwood. 

Knight, an Oregon native, brings his passion for the Pacific Northwest to his third directorial project; he previously directed LAIKA’s own “Kubo and the Two Strings” and the live-action/VFX flick “Bumblebee.” 

“’Wildwood’ is a tale of love, loss, sacrifice and secrets, and of the magic you can find on your doorstep, if you’re willing to look for it,” Animation World Network reports.
