I know the “we’re not so different you and I” type villain speech has become a cliche but The Batman actually shows you how ruinously is effective it can be with the proper set up. Like we have Batman deciding that maybe the police chef deserved what he got once he learns that he was a dirty cop, when we break into the riddlers home it’s evident that he lives as a recluse, just like Bruce Wayne. The style and content of the riddlers journal is reflective of Bruce’s Bat-logs, and his grand scheme is painted on the floor evocative of Batman’s own floor painting brainstorm session.

So when we get to the confrontation in Arkham asylum and Edward says he was inspired by Batman, even though this is the first time they met we can see it. And Bruce can see it too which is why he is so disgusted by the riddler (were not the same you’re a freak), he’s forced to look into a mirror and see how others see the Batman

it confounds me that so many people care what my little nerdy self puts out to this hellsite, but you’re here and I love every single one of you for it

thank you to everyone who has ever supported my writing, you all have made me feel so loved and so special.

I have been on a bit of a writing hiatus, and I’m not sure when I’ll get back to it. to anyone who requested a fic, I’m sorry that I’m just not in the right space to be writing right now, life is too crazy and I have virtually no free time on my hands (I’m literally typing this on my break at work)

i still want to be present on here for the friendships I’ve established, so I’m not going anywhere, but writing will likely not be coming anytime soon and if it does it’ll be spur of the moment

that being said, I love all 1200 of you with my whole heart, don’t doubt that for a minute. mamawheeze is still here ✌️

No but like Steph’s  the one who takes time to go and see Joe when he’s stuck at home and try and tell him what’s happened Steph’s the one who gives Joe a place to stay when he leaves home. Steph and Joe’s friendship is so important, Steph is important. Remember Steph, Pride fandom, you have forgotten Steph and so you have forgotten the film.
