Hi guys.
Today I’m going to talk to you as a fan, not as a blog owner.

The last couple of days have been intense and exhausting. I’m into k-pop for at least 7 years and I’m used to visit sites like Netizen Buzz and All Kpop, but this is the first time a scandal this big happens with an idol I like some much. As someone said on Twitter today, it’s toxic how people are reacting to the dating news. It is toxic. And I’m feeling more and more intoxicated every time I read comments about it.
I’ll be honest with you, I always had a feeling about Hyojong. When I first saw him I said “I don’t like him”. At the time I thought maybe I didn’t liked him cause he was replacing Ilhoon in Hyuna’s 2015 comeback and as a rapper he was lacking so much. Then came Pentagon Maker and I didn’t liked his attitude in some situations. I said to my friend “I really don’t like him. He’ll be the first to cause problems for Pentagon.” I’m sad to see I was right from the start, especially because the “big problem”, “big scandal” is: he’s in love. He’s happy. He’s being like any other young man, living his life with his girlfriend and doing what he loves.
I’m feeling intoxicated cause I’m open-minded and I never saw a tiny little problem with famous people dating each other. It’s all I see in my country, in any other western country and it’s more than ok to me. But while reading comments from Pentagon’s koreans fans I began to understand why they’re feeling sad and “betrayed”. I don’t judge, it’s a cultural situation. Korean agencies “sell” their artists like the perfect boyfriends/girlfriends that will always be there for their fans like there’s no other person in their lives but the fans, so they feel they’re entitled to demand anything and everything. And as I began to understand them, I began to think like them and it’s totally against my own judgement. It’s not right to bash someone only because he/she isn’t acting like a robot programmed to do what the society expects.
I’m not generalizing nor am I saying that Pentagon fans are bad people. It’s something that every fandom does in Korea. I repeat, it’s something cultural and we, international fans, won’t be able to change what happens there. We can only hope that Cube’s measures helps both Hyuna and E'Dawn so they can continue to do what they do best: to bring joy to our lives.

Do you know why I made this blog?
E'Dawn is not my favorite member from Pentagon, but I learned to like him from the moment I saw how playful, funny, cute (among other things) and happy he is with Hyuna and Hui. And how happy they are with him around.
Hyuna introduced me to k-pop and was always my favorite idol, for everything she did and does to change the k-pop scenario, even though I disagree with some of her choices (attitude wise). I can tell you, I have never seen her so happy and it almost brings tears to my eyes. Somehow, seems like she finally found herself and that’s beautiful.
Their friendship is beautiful. Everyone is mocking Hui for “third wheeling”, but he brings balance to both Hyuna and Hyojong. I don’t understand why people don’t see it. And he, too, is so happy whenever he’s with them.
That’s why I wanted to have this blog, to share with everyone this feeling that warms my heart and your too, I’m sure.

And, about Cube, try not to judge so harshly what they’re doing. It’s a sensitive matter, one Cube never had to deal with. I’m sure (well, I hope so) they choose to keep E'Dawn out of Pentagon’s activities to preserve him from more severe backlash. Although I still think that he needed to talk directly to his fans on Pentagon’s fancafe when his interview with Hyuna came out. After all, they decided to go against their agency and assume their relationship.

Lastly, I want to ask you to keep being supportive and don’t let the negativity hit you. I know I won’t, so I won’t be reading or posting (neither answering) anything related to what’s happening until Cube decides to give a proper solution to this matter (unless it’s an official notice).

I had to share it. She/he is right. Idols are humans too. They are like us. They want to share their love to someone that they love. Not as a fan. Someone who is close to that idol in person. They are getting older and close to the 30s and I bet they feel lonely and desperate. It may look like they are happy and feel loved, but still… there is something missing inside them. I hope that the Korean fans would understand that. Hyuna went through a lot and I’m a fan of her since 4minutes. I’ve never ever seen her so happy and so in love! I feel so glad for her to find someone who accept her as the person she is and doesn’t care about the rumours, scandals, ECT. E'dawn has also have no rights to get mocked for being in love with her and being her boyfriend. And to make it clearer for u. Super junior’s Heechul feel desperate and lonely. On variety shows he said that he also wants someone in his life. And he is close to his 40s. So get over it and let them live.
