You know that long distance thing where you form habits around the other person, and you don’t realize you have until you find yourself sleeping on the far edge of the bed, or reaching out to grab their hand…? That sucks. Distance sucks.

Sorry for the week delay - we will be posting another comic next week as well as scheduled. We’re back in the same place again! That’s why things were a little hectic for a bit between travel and jet lag and halloween. But we’re back in the swing of things again now!
JD brought me sandwiches to the airport and I almost cried I was so thankful.

Flashback comic!
One of the things we get asked the most is how to get your parents on board with your long distance relationship. It can be hard - most of the time parents are just trying to keep you safe, and they’re afraid you’ll get hurt or worse if you just fly off far away to be with someone you’ve never ‘met’. One of the best ways to show them things will be ok is to have them meet your partner. Although it can, and probably will be awkward at first, arrange a skype call between all of you. Once they recognize your partner is a real person it can make all the difference, and they’ll probably feel a little more comfortable with letting you go see them.

We brought JD to the airport today - He is currently on his flight home. We had a great time together, but goodbyes are the hardest part of a long distance relationship. Eventually we’ll close the distance, but for now we’re back in the cycle of it all.

that girl has me wrapped around her finger and she doesn’t even know it. she’s the type of girl i’d hop on a plane for at the drop of a dime just to be in the same room as her — and i’m terrified of flying.
