I finished Mahoutsukai like…close to a month ago but this review was in the drafts for a long time so I am just gonna get it out of the way since I am close to finishing Splash Star. So Mahoutsukai was definitely…a show. I don’t dislike it nor do I hate it, but when the only part of the show to make me feel genuinely happy was the 2nd op and 2nd ed…it definitely puts it into perspective how much I didn’t find enjoyment in the show. When I finished the show I felt like I didn’t even know any of main cast that well nor do I remember the names of any of the villains which is a problem imo. I kinda enjoyed the side cast and honestly I think my favorite character in the show was the girl who was trying to convince everyone that witches exist. Mahoutsukai just felt like a show about random shenanigans constantly and at times felt generic with its magical world concepts.

Thoughts about LL Nijigasaki S2 EP.2

I’m just going to be upfront and say I was not expecting to love this episode as much as I did! First off, the op is visually speaking my second favorite love live op but song wise…its giving last place. Once again, I said this with start true dreams and a year later I love the song a lot…why am I like this… ALSO, as a Shioriko fan I spotted Kaoruko immediately and I starting freaking out. They probably aren’t gonna water down Shioriko’s character arc in the anime! Also funny that the op outfits are winter-based even though the show is airing in spring.

Onto the actual episode, I adore the focus on Emma and specifically QU4RTZ’s group dynamic. The Emma and Lanzhu parallels had a lot of potential in the games but they never actually explored it that much, but I love the way they tackled it in the anime! QU4RTZ as an individual group is underrated imo, the interactions between the four of them is so sweet and genuinely makes me soft,,, Once again thank you anime writers for not villainzing Lanzhu and also not making the cast villainize her either. Also the scene with the girls at the playground with the shot of Rina going down the slide and hugging Emma quite literally made me . And then them eventually synchronizing on the swings as their feelings become one? Peak cinema. I enjoyed the background stuff with Mia and Shioriko too. They’re setting up Mia pretty well with her interactions with Yuu. Also seeing Ayumu and Shioriko talk and refer to each other on a last name basis…they don’t know that they’re going to be gfs soon.

This episode solidified the approach to insert songs is through the sub-units, and if the op helps foreshadow anything than I imagine the order of songs is QU4RTZ->DiverDiva->AZUNA. I can’t really guess whether Mia or Shioriko will perform first, but I am leaning towards Mia going first because Kaoruko might have something to do with the idol festival and cultural festival for a climax. This sounds bad but I prefer this episode over 12/13 episodes in the first season because it reminded of the aspects of love live that I adore, which is group dynamics! Can’t wait to see QU4RTZ perform next week since they’re my favorite nijigaku sub-unit.

Thoughts about LL Nijigasaki S2 EP.1

So nijigaku’s second season premiered today with its first episode and I thought it was a nice opener. The highlight of the episode was the PVs, both the real one and the accidental one, as both were fun to watch. I think there was some nice foreshadowing over Yuu’s ability to balance both club work and course work. Out of the three newly introduced girls in the anime, obviously Lanzhu was at the center of this episode. The Shioriko fan in me wanted more from her, but I’ll settle with what was given. Mia was kinda in the background of this episode but the same thing happened in the games so it’s not a problem. I am very happy to see that the show didn’t really villainize Lanzhu like they did in the games, but made her slightly antagonistic instead. Lanzhu’s song wasn’t my cup of tea and visually speaking save for the chorus part wasn’t entirely the best imo but I feel like that complaint is just a small one I have.

My biggest concern of this season is how they’ll handle insert songs given the cast of 12 idols in a show with (probably) 13 episodes. Notably, I was suprised to see two N girls at the end and the next episode title was announced by Emma+Kanata. So maybe they might do duo episodes outside of the three new girls? I don’t really know. The ending song visually speaking was very pretty, but song wise…eh. But, I didn’t like Neo Sky Neo Map when I first saw the first season but a couple of months later after the show finished it became my favorite Nijigasaki song so…I’m gonna just let this new one settle in. I am looking forward to the opening next week though since we’ll likely see everyone animated in 3D!

For whatever reason, I spent one single pull on you’s third fes banner and I got her where was this energy when i spent 4k and 6k stars on both her fes1 and fes2 banner and didn’t get either of them. I immediately dished out the materials to LB her and got her recolor which is 100% better than her og color scheme(tho i still love the pink).

apparently today is the day mirai and liko reunite according to people who calculated the events of the end of the story and i literally finished mahoutsukai precure today????

i was doing the massive mass outbreak quest and i went to an area filled with abras…and my heart dropped when i heard the shiny pokemon sound…and my heart dropped further when said abra teleported away

I finished Star Twinkle today and it was a good experience overall. I liked the characters as a whole and multiple of them have been ranked highly. The villains save for the big bad were great, there was a balanced amount of character centric episodes and plot episodes, and the story was engaging enough. The only thing I can think of disliking would be the fact that the filler episodes were pretty boring most of the time and that Fuwa borderline drove me insane due to the way she was written in the first half of the show. Though it’s kinda weird, I have a lot of praise for it yet I won’t put it in the “great” tier. This sounds crazy, but I can’t rank it anywhere above “good” because it was missing something for me personally. It never had a moment where the series clicked with me, or where I was particularly excited to watch the next episode. With all that being said, the series is good and I would recommend it easily with no need to warn people about any notable problems of the show(at least imo). Anyways Soleil best cure and if u think otherwise you’re wrong <3

I’ve actually decided to watch Mahou Tsukai next so I could watch the final set of series (Splash Star+Yes5) in order so I’ll get on that sooner or later.

i’ve been so entertained by the main story in PLA to the point that my team is really underleveled,,, guess i am pausing the main game for a bit of grinding and maybe do some requests while i am at it

the way shioriko might be debuting tmrw and i’m not even really looking forward to anything except the song ‍

i used to be able to rank all the main characters with ease before nijigaku and liella but now i only know my top 10 and bottum 2,, everything in between gets changed every other day

as of right now, anime shioriko is game shioriko without the character development that game shioriko went through and like…yea not happy tbh why r they mellowing her character down so much
