summary: Kaito had not seen or spoken to his childhood friend, Shin-chan, since before the two had started their first year of elementary school. Eleven years later, Kaito has almost entirely forgotten the detective-loving boy. That is, until a new student transfers into his class. Kudo Shinichi is quiet, studious, and a loner. He spends his free moments reading, ignores anyone who tries to talk to him, and downright refuses to have any interaction with anyone, including the childhood friend he’s just reunited with. Kaito knows something is going on, and is worried about Shinichi’s antisocial behavior and extreme isolation. So he puts his magician’s talents to work. The mission: End Shin-chan’s isolation and get him some friends. With Kaito’s determined meddling and Shinichi working to thwart his every plan, the two lock each other in a Immovable Object meets Unstoppable Force situation.
Until Kaito starts to uncover the reason Shinichi transferred to Ekoda High in the middle of the year, and the things he left behind when he did.

When he hears about a cursed mega jewel, Kaito scoffs, but plans to steal it all the same.
Nothing happens to Kaito after touching the gem. Later, however…Well. He supposes that if there’s a gem that grants immortality then it shouldn’t be too strange that there is a gem that can move people across space and time.
Kaito finds himself teleported away to a random (but very handsome) man’s library. They talk and spend time in each other’s presences, but eventually Kaito gets transported back home. This happens again and again, but Kaito learns to appreciate these trips. It’s a reprieve from his normal life. not to mention that the company isn’t terrible…
