In this case, seeing red is a good thing! This rare ruby and diamond ring is being offered in Christie’s November Hong Kong Magnificent Jewels auction. Weighing 5.05 carats, this important Burmese ruby has the designation from the Gubelin gemological laboratory @gubelinofficial as being ‘pigeon blood red’ with no indications of heating (a treatment common to enhance the color of rubies). This all-natural beauty has an auction estimate of $1.7 – 2.3 million.
