James:
always leaves his Quidditch gear lying around
MANY Quidditch Posters are hanging on his wall
has got a picture of his family on his nightstand (”But Mum it’s embarrassing to have a photo of you kissing me..”, though nobody can withstand Euphemia Potter’s hurt puppy look)
Filibusters and other prank articles hidden under his cloak (the cleanest spot in his part of the dorm at least that’s what it looks like)
Sirius:
Leaves lots of magazines lying around, because he’s got the attention span of a goldfish and always gets distracted, but he “will look at it later on”
Same with clothes, they’re literally everywhere, because he throws out all of his clothes and then just chooses the same torn dark jeans and his leather jacket anyway
Has always got parchment and a quill on his nightstand in case he gets another incredible idea at night, so he can write it down immediately
in first year bottles and cans made it impossible to walk through his part of the dorm (being used to a house elve did spoil him), however the others put a halt to this
Remus:
on the first glance his part is spotless, though he has twice as many pillows as the others
But he leaves lots of books in his bed, his nightstand and over time they can be found in the strangest places, since he sometimes just gets so into a story that he carries the book around everywhere
also there are lots of candy wrappers and always an emergency chocolate bar in his nightstand (mostly chocolate of course) and beneath it a calendar with a full moon chart
in the corner he’s got a Muggle coffee machine (in fifth year Sirius gave it to him as a present, because they learned not to talk to Moony before he’s had his morning coffee)
Peter:
Is actually the tidiest out of them all
Yet he secretly hoards stuff under his bed (this includes food too)
Always receives many letters from his mother who seems to be the only one convinced that her Pete is the greatest wizard of all and hides them in his nightstand and sometimes under his pillow
Always gets various sweets from his mother, that he gladly put in a box in the middle of their dorm, where everyone can take some
Bonus:
since fourth year the ceiling is charmed to display a huge picture of the four of them together (in sixth year they manage to charm it like a slide show, so there’s a different picture of an adventure -mostly pranks- of them every day)
