Another mint-grey outfit with regency inspirations.

We went to the botanical garden - mainly the greenhouses since it was not quite spring yet, and it was fun! I will post more photos later.

I felt like I had kind of exhausted the dresses I currently owned that had a regency feeling to them, but when I looked at this JSK I realized that it has some regency-like elements to it that fit pretty well. Hem ruffle detailing like this is fairly common for the era (although, much longer and not polyester of course).

The bust area has some gathering too that would have been alright too, I think, but straps are not entirely regency, so I decided to wear my trusty jacket on top as a faux spencer…which I think helps sell the look a little more. I ended up changing my shoes to boots before leaving - imo the mary jane style shoes lean the outfit more typical lolita.

Just Mary Magdalene. + matching tote–when your bag matches your dress!

It’s been quite a while since I’ve worn simple classic lolita, I was very happy that I decided to give perfume bottle the light of day it deserved. This type of pale, pastel classic especially is one of my favourites!

In retrospect I think I should have chosen different shoes as the tone of them matches pretty much nothing–I thought they would be pinker and match the dusty pink tones better in my coord planning, but I was in a hurry to leave and it was too late to try to switch shoes…

Some photos from last autumn, when I went apple picking with my mom and great aunt. I love seeing the gorgeous blushed fruits hanging from the trees, and biting into a crisp, crunchy fresh apple!

It seemed like a no brainer to wear a rustic wine outfit to complement the apples themselves! It was actually quite a warm day, but I insisted on wearing this wool Mary Magdalene coat anyway since I really like the little capelet. (plus the print is Red Riding Hood theme, and what is little red without her hood?) I was definitely sweating up a storm, but the weather was just so good for leisurely fruit picking, you couldn’t complain.

Styling last fall’s regency inspired outfit as eveningwear, and also just messing around.

Hime and I were supposed to attend a regency inspired ball last week, but that has been postponed for now. So in tribute of that, why not dress up a bit frilly to enjoy an evening at home, maybe with a Jane Austen movie…?

Valeria is one of my favourite MM pieces of all time, a old dream dress. I love it still! I felt like I had to wear this jacket too, as the details are just so nice. The 18th century inspired design adds a lot of elegance and completely dresses up the more plain design of the dress.

I considered toting this prop sword with me as Chizuru is never seen without her kodachi, but it felt impractical and a bit too costumey for the meet. Also, the katana is way too big for me, let alone to pass for a kodachi. If anything, hopefully I captured those moments in the game where Chizuru pulls out her sword to defend herself…only to be saved in the nick of time by her love interest.
