Tomorrow ep 14 (kdrama) - it’s no secret that the only thing keeping my interest in this drama is the backstory between Ryeon and Joong Gil. I applaud them for trying to tackle such tough subjects but I personally don’t agree with how the writers are “resolving” these issues and think the drama is not as well written as it could be for such a sensitive and complex subject.

Bloody Heart (kdrama) - three words - Sageuk Jang Hyuk. Ok and fucked up caged animal crown prince too.

Destan (Turkish show) - I got kinda tired of the constant “oooh and now we’re finally going to reveal Ulu Ece’s schemes, actually psych!” fake outs for a while there but it seems things have started to pick up again now that they’re going to war and the pretty but useless Kaya has usurped the throne.

Rewatch (perhaps?)

Chuno(kdrama) - my recent ranking of my all time dramaland hotties reminded me of how much I love Dae Gil so I’m strongly considering rewatching this.

All of Park Joongil’s scenes can probably be compiled into 1 hour by the end of this series lol. At least we got to see him literally burn that bastard.

Ryeon & Joong-gil’s past : ‘Returning Lady’

Ryeon’s past is already so different from the original webtoon, so people are trying to guess the new version of her past.

Korean fans are guessing that, since Ryeon already mentioned she’s from ’Qing invasion of Joseon’ era, she must be one of the 'returning ladies'

During the war, so many Joseon women were captured and dragged to Qing. They were raped and were forced to become concubines. Some committed suicide, some came back to Joseon because their family paid ransom, and some risked their lives to run and go back to Joseon. Those who came back are called 'Returning Ladies’

But since it was like… 17C and 'women’s fidelity and chastity’ was so important, they faced harsh criticism in Joseon. They were considered 'corrupted’, kicked out of marriage, and blamed for 'having sex with foreign intruders’

Common people are throwing rocks at Ryeon, who is a 'noble lady’ and this could be explained that way.

Joong-gil says “I’ll take down anyone who dares to utter such insults, no matter how many bastards there are.” as he murders two guys. We know that he loves his wife Ryeon so deeply, so maybe he’s taking revenge for those who blamed her.

But we also know that it would make her break down. Young Ryeon already said Joong-gil’s dedication as a military officer is one of the things she loves. And now he is murdering people because of her.

These are major fan theories, and I’m totally loving it. It makes so much sense!

People who are destined to be with each other are connected by a red thread beyond their souls. Unless they break that thread themselves, they will meet that person again, no matter how many times you are reborn.
