“I told John to close his eyes because I could feel this tension between him and Paul. I did them (together) afterwards; I got them looking different ways because there was such a tension.”

Going Nowhere - masterpost

Summary:The life and times of John and Paul, told as they try and find their way back home to one another. This AU fix-it starts in Dec 80 but includes flashbacks to some of the most important moments in their relationship.

Thanks to the amazing @imagine-yesterday for her incredible work on beta-ing this. She’s made a huge difference.

Part One - Paul gets the call and makes a split second decision.

Part Two- John’s awake and not sure how much he can really trust Paul’s word. Flashback to Paul choose John over his Dad.

Part three- Back in England and no one’s really sure what happens next. Flashback to some truly tooth-rotting fluff of baby J&P agreeing to work together until their old men.

Chapter four - Paul tries to negotiate where he and John stand now and what their future might look like, all while making some uncomfortable discoveries. Flashback to Stu’s death and a promise that he hasn’t thought about in years.

Chapter five-John starts to work through some of his issues and makes a long overdue visit. Essentially George and John have some talks. Flashback to She Said She Said session.

Chapter six- Paul finally gets something he wants, but in exchange finds out something that he wasn’t expecting. Flashback to the aftermath of Bob Wooler

Chapter seven - John struggles with Paul’s reaction to his confession and things finally come to a head. Flashback to India (ominous music plays)

Chapter eight- Paul doesn’t and then does deal with the fallout from his fight with John (with just a little help from Linda). Flashback to Paul’s collapse in 1963.

Chapter nine -John and Paul deal with consequences of the kiss, with some mixed results. Flashbacks to their first acid trip together and losing Northern Songs.

Chapter ten - John finally gets to take his time and explore Paul in a new way. Flashback to some times where Paul’s heterosexuality perhaps was a little more moveable than John might have expected.

Chapter elevenPaul reflects on the events of the night and our heroes have some long overdue conversations. Flashback to the agreement to work together again

Chapter twelve - John wrestles with the realities of the morning after the night before. Flashback to Key West.

Chapter thirteen- Paul thinks about the future, addresses some stuff in the bedroom and the stresses about seeing some old friends. Flashback to the Memphis cherry bomb.

Chapter fourteen - John struggles to make plans for the future. Flashback to The Lost Weekend intervention.

Chapter fifteen-Paul puts his foot down and then right in it, as he and John try and really decide what they want from one another and what their future will look like. Flashback to Paris.

ou call me on the telephone, you feel so far away

You tell me to come over

There some games you want to play

I’m walking to your house, nobody’s home

Its just me and you, you and me alone

We’re just playing hide and seek

Its getting hard to breath under the sheets with you

I don’t want to play no games

I’m tired of always chasing, chasing after you

I don’t give a fuck about you anyways

Whoever said I give a shit about you?

You never share your toys or communicate

I guess I’m just a play date to you

Wake up in your bedroom and there’s nothing left to say

When I try to talk you’re always playing board games

I wish I had monopoly over your mind

I wish I didn’t care all the time

We’re just playing hide and seek

Its getting hard to breath under the sheets with you

I don’t want to play no games

I’m tired of always chasing, chasing after you

Aveces me siento cansada

Found you when your heart was broke

I filled your cup until it overflowed

Took it so far to keep you close (keep you close)

I was afraid to leave you on your own

I say I’d catch you if you fall

And if they laugh, then fuck ‘em all

And then I got you off your knees

Put you right back on your feet

Just so you can take advantage of me

Tell me how’s it feel sittin’ up there

Feeling so high but too far away to hold me

You know I’m the one who put you up there

Name in the sky

Does it ever get lonely?

Thinking you could live without me

Thinking you could live without me

You know I’m the one who put you up there

You say, goodbye

And I say, hello~
