Thinking bout Phillip and Eloise visiting Francesca and Michael in Scotland and Eloise begging Michael to convince Phillip that wearing a kilt is necessary for men when attending dinner. Phillip begrudgingly agreeing and arriving to dinner only for Oliver and Amanda to burst out laughing at the sight of their dad. While Michael and Francesca attempt to remain polite and hide their laughter and Eloise just…can’t help the snorts that leave her body as it dawns on her husband’s face that it was a setup.

Francesca x Michael

• they always feel each other’s presence in the room and it doesn’t take any time or effort to find the other; they’re just drawn together
• michael only gets fran blue jewelry to match her eyes (“though nothing comes even close to as beautiful”)
• the one who wakes up first always brings the other coffee/tea in bed
• they can’t let themselves talk about their first pregnancy until long after fran’s showing
• the night after john’s born, michael and fran lie in bed holding each other, crying with utter relief and joy
• they’re the hottest couple in the family. period.
• even though they’re the quietest of the 8 couples, they have a special relationship with each of the others
• francesca tells michael that she loves him every single day
• they pass away on the same day at a rather old age, unable to live without their other half

Gregory x Lucy

• Gregory and Lucy sleep entangled in each other’s arms every night no matter how hot it is
• During Lucy’s first pregnancy, she and Gregory build a treehouse for the kids and it’s potentially where some of their children were conceived
• Gregory and Lucy’s favorite holidays are mother’s and father’s day
• Hyacinth gifted Gregory and Lucy a tandem bike to make fun of them for being “attached at the hip” but they unironically love it
• Lucy spends the first few months of being a Bridgerton by learning and memorizing everything about every member of the family- their name, birthday, interests, favorite things- and she’s the only one to know all of that information by heart
• Gregory and Lucy love to take long walks together where they just talk about everything and nothing
• When Gregory and Lucy apologize for not having a kid to name Hyacinth after (post 2nd epilogue), Hyacinth just smiles, gives them a hug, and with a slightly threatening tone says, “It’s fine, there’s only room for one Hyacinth in this family”

Hyacinth x Gareth

• Both Greg/Lucy and Hyacinth/Gareth are the ones the niblings go to first when they want to hide something from their parents- partially because they’re the youngest and partially because they know what it’s like to want independence from the family
• Hyacinth’s hyper-competitive when it comes to game night and Gareth just kinda goes along with it cause he’s staring at her with heart eyes constantly
• When Hyacinth’s sad about not finding the jewels Gareth says “well you are the jewel of my heart<3” and she kicks him
• After they move into Gareth’s family house, they make a plan to [redacted] in every room in the house
• Hyacinth and Gareth’s favorite thing is to cook dinner together
• Gareth is the uncle that everyone knows will put aside whatever’s going on in his life to have a chat, play a game, etc
• Gareth cries when he gets the letter from Hyacinth about Lucy’s birthing story in the second epilogue
• Violet feels the most at home visiting Hyacinth and Gareth
