could it be Diana is scared of getting hurt first because of the way Anne reacted? so she dumped Jerry (very rudely and suddenly) before she got her own heart broken?
She didn’t even want to let him finish. She kept interrupting him.
Diana doesn’t want Jerry to call her out for being a spoiled rich girl who thinks she’s too good for him.
When she dropped his things on the floor, that hit me so hard.
The whole episode Diana came out of her own shell. When she downed that moonshine bottle, Josie’s face was my reaction.
when she found her sister crying to herself inside the closet. that was so surreal.

something about Diana’s expression changed from that moment on.
