In a d&d world much like our own…
- people take their feathery pseudodragons on daily walks, scolding them for spitting bursts of flame at passerby
- food vendors use Control Flame to show little stories in their cooking fires, which their customers watch while they wait for their food
- other vendors sell popsicles that they’ve twisted into intricate shapes with Control Water, making children’s eyes sparkle with awe
- teachers use Guidance to help struggling students in school…
- …while other students use Message to whisper to each other across the room
- ( eventually the teachers catch on, and put up anti-magic wards in their classrooms to get them to stop lol )
- rebellious teens learn Mold Earth so they can leave temporary graffiti all over the stone buildings and roads
- and artists use the same cantrip to create beautiful short-term murals
- the hottest nightclubs hire people to cast Prestidigitation all night long, sending colorful lights and sparks and confetti across the dancefloors
- emergency medical response teams use Spare the Dying to stabilize patients…
- …and then bring them to hospitals where the doctors dedicate all their spell slots to healing
- children’s books are enchanted with Minor Illusion to show scenes from the stories while they read
- shopkeepers use Mage Hand to reach the highest shelves ( and teach it to kids so they can reach the cookie jar at home )
- teens learn Druidcraft so they can smell like flowers and have an unseen breeze ruffle their hair whenever their crush walks by….
