This time, I am making an exception and writing about menswear since I have fallen in love with the Fall ‘13 menswear collection of Giorgio Armani!
In this collection, you may find several styles that a man can adopt; however, they all align with Armani’s approach of powerful and striking masculinity eventually - what I actually like when it comes to menswear :)
Instead of focusing on suits, the designer chose a well mix-and-match approach. So, it is possible to see distinct combinations of several pieces and different fabrics, such as mohair sweaters, brocade waistcoats, shearling and velvet coats, leather jackets, …
The surprise about the color palette -including black, navy and grey as expected- is claret. The designer combined claret with velvet on some pieces which are my favorites in general. Infact, the colors rendered the pieces -even more casual ones- quite masculine. Claret seems to make the collection be more dynamic:
Shoes and accessories were also remarkable. Loafers, leather gloves, black tie, huge handbags and aviator sunglasses are some of them.
And God said, let there be Armani.
