Me: I won’t make new characters in a while
Also me: ………NeW ChArActERs

Edit:Decided to just add their full bodies to the same post. (Click to see them properly, I discovered how to put images side-by-side finally, yes I’m dumb) Worked on those as I had no ideas for the designs to the other 3 characters I wanted to make yet. IDK if I regret drawing Erena’s outfit pattern by hand or not lol

lumilasi:

Since I’m making ANOTHER moth with a new level of corruption, I had to update this one lmao. I should change this oc tag into “Mothsss” instead of Telepaths.

Also brief summary of their kind:

  • Moth-spirits in this “story” are unborn children cursed by a witch to be born as moth-spirits. By default they’re relatively harmless (about as harmless as average humans can be, all depends on their personality/environment/upbringing), but often get shunned due to superstition around them as being bad omens and bringers of bad luck. They do have some spirit powers, but aren’t exactly the strongest beings there is. (They can fly, poof into thousands of butterflies, shriek so loud your eardrums rupture/glass shatters, and put you to sleep for example.)
  • Corrupted ones in turn, are Moth spirits who grow up around too much violence/experience severe trauma that essentially turns them to vengeful, extremely powerful spirits. They typically can’t be killed easily, until their desire for revenge is somehow sated. Even if you do manage to kill one, their ghost will continue haunting you, until you help them somehow to complete their revenge-quest, or help them heal from their corruption. (It’s kind of a self fulfilling prophecy/symbolic story thing; you treat someone like a monster, they turn into one)

Forgot to add one thing to the pic; Second-stage corruption also tends to lead to loss of eyebrows.

Erena Mizuka (water route & beautiful water)

Age: 41

Abilities: Water based healing magic widely practiced in their temple, that can be used as a defensive weapon too with some basic hydrokinesis techniques. She’s also very adept at communicating with spirits & exorcising them due to her unique nature as a reborn Death Vestige. (kind of a soul reaper who left the hive-mind to be reborn as a mortal. DV’s aren’t really the kind of “death” that decide when you die, but rather serve as guides to the afterlife)

Personality:She’s very calm and polite person, who also tends to be philosophical and talk kind of cryptically, often not letting on how much she actually knows about a given situation, either to protect someone or because she believes they need to figure this out themselves. While typically very kind and gentle, Erena is not afraid of wielding her water power to defend against anything threatening the peace and safety of their temple and the patients there.

Family:Erena comes from a renowned healer priestess family called Mizuka family, who have worked in their temple for several generations. She’s a bit special due to being a reborn death-vestige, hence her eyes look the way they do as this is her first mortal cycle. Her hair is also green instead of blue that is typical for this family, as DV’s tend to have blond-ish hair, and that color basically mixed with the blue. The symbol on her forehead is something all the family women have, though the color changes depending on if they have water abilities or not; those who don’t have them, the tattoo is white, and those who do have it in blue.

Friends:She’s close with the McCormack-Hikari family, a retired demon hunter & light witch

Love interest:Ayame(the guardian spirit snow woman of the aforementioned family)

Story role: A mother figure to a young moth-spirit girl, also the only person who knows where one of the protagonist’s missing mother is. She also looks after a wandering, shattered soul called Jinchou occasionally.

Chouma (Butterfly devil, his OG name is long forgotten)

Age: Unknown, appears to be between 20-30

Abilities:

Basics for all corrupted moths:Inhuman strength where he can rip people apart with his bare hands/thrust his arm through them, high durability with ability to regenerate even deep wounds or torn limbs, powerful screech that can rupture organsand break walls (normal moth spirits can only rupture eardrums and shatter glass) Fire and acid resistant, immune to soul eaters.

Basic abilities for all Moth spirits:  Can poof into a cloud butterflies like any moth spirit, and drench an area in darkness. Can fly.

Special ability for his stage of corruption/personal strengths: Being in the second-stage of corruption, he can also suck blood using his moth-tongue. Good at using twin blades as weapons. He’s unusually fast even for Corrupted Moth spirits, although his speed often means he doesn’t see where he’s going, so he might just crash against a wall or a tree and injure himself. Typically he has to plan when using his speed as a result. (He’s not good at planning, more of an impulsive fighter than a tactician.)

Personality:Because of the late-stage corruption, he’s very erratic, violent and unstable, barely able to register anything outside his own vengeful bloodlust. Outside his frenzied moments he almost seems like he’s out of it and detached from the world around him. (basically people think he’s high) He clearly used to be a bit of a mischievous brat though, as Chouma likes to mess around with his targets a lot (or just people that mildly annoy him) and tends to get childishly frustrated if he is losing a fight. The discolored patches of his skin also prickle and “burn” at times, making him very cranky and often complain about them.

(the patches are a common thing for the second-stage corruption, basically symbolism of how much of a monster/self destructive they are becoming)

Family:Unknown, but he was likely abandoned by his biological family, as this is common for moth-spirit children. He seems to have history with the Atlas family though (The birth-family of one of the protagonists of this set, Shou)

Friends:TBA

Love interest: TBA

Story role: A side-villain whose corruption seems to have stemmed from the actions of Shou’s birth-family. Basically a serial-killer who goes after anyone who reminds him of the said family, I.E anyone with butterfly aspects to their jewelry & outfit, or two colored hair, though this latter triggers him less.

(Second-stage/late-stage corruption of these spirits basically means that they lose a sense of rationality somewhat, and instead of having a specific target (one person, specific family) they will go after anything and anyone that reminds them of those who wronged them. Their target switches from “Specific” to “Abstract” which makes them ridiculously dangerous as they can attack random people out of blue)
