“pretty.”jaemin mutters softly, his thumb running over your knuckles. you could hear the leaves rustling in the late summer wind as you lay sprawled out upon the pale yellow picnic blanket underneath you and jaemin. a mischievous smile plays on your lips as you quirked back at him.
“are you talking about me or the sky there, babe?” his eyes flicker towards you, a small smile playing on his lips as he shuffles closer to you. jaemin’s hair was slightly windblown, his hand suddenly enveloping yours in a warm embrace as he rests his head lazily into the crook of your neck. you could hear a deep sigh coming from jaemin as he placed a soft kiss onto your cheek. you smiled shyly to yourself, you could feel your cheeks starting to burn a rosy red from his kiss.
jaemin nestles closer to you as he murmurs. “both.” you hear him pause in his sentence. you turn towards him, an eyebrow arched before he continues. “though, in my eyes you’re prettier.”

“dance with me, y/n?”boyfriend!jaeminasks you, his chocolate eyes glimmering in the dim lighting of the apartment. slow yet charming music started to flood the empty apartment as he took a careful step closer towards you, his arm extended towards you with a small smirk playing upon his lips. you carefully slide a worn bookmark between the aged pages of your book as you turn to your boyfriend, his sweater hanging loose off his frame. you let out a deep sigh before taking his outreached hand, a mischevious grin gracing both of your faces as jaemin gracefully spins you into his embrace.
you feel your chest flushed against his as he wraps his warm hand around your waist, pulling you closer as you both sway to the melodic music across the hardwood floors. “so,” you mutter quietly. “mind me asking what spurred this sudden dance?” you let your gaze fall on jaeminas he looks back at you, a reddish hue starting to spread lightly across his cheeks as he answered back. “what? is it not allowed for a boyfriend like me to take the one i love for a romantic dance?” you giggle at his response, nuzzling yourself closer into the warm crook of his neck as you feel jaemin’sgrip around your waist tighten.
“fair point.” jaeminsmiles lopsidedly at your response as he watches you sway alongside him under the pale lighting of the apartment, creating an ethereal aura around the both of you. he lets outs a soft sight before he lets his temple rest lazily against yours. you hum contently as you place a chaste kiss upon jaemin’s lips, leaving you feeling fluttery from his touch. jaemin pauses for a second before turning his head towards your lips as they crash softly together, letting your feet move along accordingly to the slow rhythm of the music. you feel your shoulders droop as you both pull away, smiling coyly at each other before you return your chin to jaemin’sbroad shoulders and his to your temple. this goes on for a while. jaemin’seyes glazed over with pure adoration towards you and yours filled with a deep love for him.
the song in the background seems to never cease, playing the same sweet melody over and over again as you both slow-dance away into the airy night with hearts full of an evergrowing love.

“what are you so happy for?” you ask jaeminas you two lie tangled under a blanket, watching the stars twinkle from the comfort of your apartment window. you feel his arms tighten around your waist, pulling you closer to him. “nothing really,” he replies, placing a soft kiss to the side of your neck. “it’s just that i get to wake up to an angel every morning.”jaeminwhispers as his thumb rubs your exposed cheek. you mutter “go to sleep, you sappy dork.” as he giggles softly before placing another tender kiss upon your lips. jaeminfinds himself cuddling closer to him as you both fall asleep in each other’s arms.
