#nail varnish
MATCHING SOAP
———————–
I don’t often paint my nails… So it amused me the other morning when, having randomly decided to varnish them the night before, I woke up to discover that someone had changed the soap to the exact same shade as my new nail polish, entirely coincidentally.

My new ringfromRose Wholesale looks like I killed a snake, during an epic battle. I then took his snake armor, and I now wear it as a warning to my other enemies… :D

Ingonyama Ingonyama nengw’ enamabala [Chant repeats]
[Start singing at 0:51)
From the day this arrived on my doorstep
I’m thinking, wow this looks real fun
Even though the site, says these are leopards
It’s clear they are, majestic cheetahs
There’s ten in a set for each nail
Although there was no instructions found
But I’ve done this before
Cup of water galore
Let’s begin and let the magic take hold
These are water decals
And they slide right off
Off the paper back
But don’t forget
An important step
Remove the plastic*
It protects it
Protects it from harm
Music break…If someone is singing the other party for you they can continue with the Ingonyama Ingonyama nengw’ enamabala’s.
[Start singing again at 3:07]
These are water decals
Put them over white
They are sort of clear
And when you’re done
Use some acetone
To clean up the edges
These are well priced
Just two fifty four**

I recently bought a new (cheap) keyboard that had a big, white logo on the space bar. Rather than cover it with a sticker I went the paint with nail varnish route.
First I covered the surrounding keys with tape then I used scrunched up clingflm to dab on different shades of nail varnish. I used an opaque silver first to properly cover the logo, then alternated between black, clear sparkly, metalic lilac, metalic pink and more silver until I was happy with the result. I think the key was surrounding the pink areas with a silver edge.
Not sure I quite captured the nebula type look I was going for but pretty good for a first try. Also it’s much sparklier in daylight.
