Deadly Class AU

The foxes

A gang of misfits intent on revenge against the world. Fuck the rules, fuck the other gangs, and most of all, fuck their so-called families.

There’s Allison Reynolds, a legacy on her mother’s side. Since she was born, she’s been set to take over her mother’s intelligence empire. But Allison prefers a weapon in her hands. She likes to do her own dirty work.

Renee Walker was Natalie Shields before she joined the foxes. There’s rumors that she used to run with one of the other gangs on campus. One that’s now mysteriously extinct. And she’s one of only two surviving rats in the sophomore class. She doesn’t talk about that much. Actually, no one really does.

Dan Wilds is the other sophomore rat. Underestimated since the day she arrived at King’s Dominion, Dan ruthlessly crushed anyone in her way to make it to the top of her class. Rumor has it that she’s one of the front runners of her class for valedictorian.

Kevin Day used to be right hand to Riko Moriyama. He used to be second best in every class, top marks every time. But now he’s not. And no one knows exactly what happened, or why.

Andrew Minyard is a rat with a reputation and an attitude problem. And he’s the most dangerous of them all, because he appears to have nothing to lose. Nothing he cares about. Nothing that can be used to take him down.

And then there’s Neil Josten, their latest edition. He’s a brutal killer, and a liar, and that’s the most about him that anyone can say for certain (except maybe Andrew, but he’s not saying shit).

Deadly Class AU

Nathaniel Wesninski was raised a killer. When he’s sent to King’s Dominion, a deadly school for assassins, he’s expected to hone his natural born talent for murder, and prepare to take over his father’s legacy as the infamous Butcher of Baltimore. More importantly, he’s supposed to join the Ravens gang, led by the sadistic Riko Moriyama, and solidify ties between the Butcher’s people and the Yakuza for good.

But Nathaniel’s never been very good at doing what he’s told. And when two of the Butcher’s right hand men are found dead just outside Maryland, hacked into pieces by a cleaver that was certainly not wielded by the hand of the Butcher himself, Nathaniel Wesninski is declared a dead man.

Nathaniel is a legacy at King’s Dominion - a position which offers some protection, but draws far, far to much attention. So Neil Josten attends the school in his place - a runaway rat with no connections, no contacts, and a thirst for blood. Hidden in plain sight.

But it’s never quite that easy. Neil doesn’t belong. The other rats don’t trust him. Especially not Andrew Minyard.

But Nathaniel will do whatever it takes to takes to succeed at King’s Dominion. And he’ll take his father’s organization down the best way he knows how: with lies and secrets and a knife in the back.

Deadly Class au

They both knew what was coming at the end of the year. But despite the lies, and the knives, and their reputations, despite everything, Neil trusted Andrew.

But not with his name. Not yet.

Andrew was a rat who, against all odds, had managed to survive and claw his way to the top. And he still thought that Neil was one too.

Now would have been the moment. The perfect time to tell him.

My name is Nathaniel Wesninski. The Butcher of Baltimore is my father. I am a legacy. And when finals come, everyone will know.

I was supposed to kill you.

deadly class au

Neil has heard about final exams. At Kings Dominion, the elite academy where damaged teenagers are forged into the world’s deadliest assassins, the final exam is one of the best and worst kept secrets amid the upperclassmen. The game is this: kill all the unaffiliated rats and move to take your place in the savage hierarchy of the school. For the rats? To survive.
Pass or Fail, no one gets through the Freshman Finals without getting blood on their hands.

And Neil has heard about Andrew. The infamous sophomore, who killed his mother for raising a hand against his twin, only to turn against him in the end. The only rat to survive finals, at the cost of his brother. They say was barely enough left to identify Aaron Minyard.

Neil knows the rumors. Buts he also knows Andrew. And he knows that Andrew doesn’t lie. Aaron had wanted out. Out of King’s Dominion, out of this world of petty, vindictive teenage assassins. But no one gets to walk away from this.

So if Aaron really is dead, then who had Kaitlyn been talking to? And who the fuck was in their dorm yesterday, because it sure as shit hadn’t been Andrew.

And if Aaron isn’t dead…. then Andrew has a weakness.

- Neil Josten as Fallen Angel by Alexandre Cabanel

why does no one talk about how ridiculous riko’s obsession with neil is?

like imagine finding out your childhood friend is playing for a rival school and the reaction you have isn’t like “oh my gosh!! i haven’t seen neil in 4ever, i hope i can catch up with him soon uwu”

instead your brain goes “im gonna kill neil’s teammate, and then kidnap and torture him over winter break!! that’ll make him transfer schools >:)”

this series is horrible <3

I’m a firm believer that Neil harness trains his cats and then takes them on runs.

Neil had a duffel for how many years? Like, bro, just get a back pack. Like I’ve been able to fit 3 outfits and all my hair stuff in a MINI backpack, and you don’t have the common sense to fit like 8 pairs of clothes and a binder in there. Like they make some huge backpacks. Not only would it make more sense for someone his age to be wearing a backpack, but it’s heavily implied that he’s had that duffel since he was like 8. And Imagine you see this 8 year old kid, the size of your pinky, walking around with a duffel twice his size. I’d think something fishy was going on.

Also the fact that Neil didn’t know what fashion trends were going on was stupid, you’d fit in more by going with trends than wearing old worn clothes.

In conclusion I’m doubting not only Mary Hartford’s parenting, but her ability to go on the run as well.

I think a big reason Andrew didn’t have any sort of deal with Nicky is because at the time he would’ve given one to him (when he was In high school), Nicky already was required to stay as the twins legal guardian. Andrew always knew the relationship had an expiration date. And that’s why Nickys choice to stay after is so important, because there was no deal or legal document keeping him there. He was there because he wanted to be, say all you want about Neil, but you can’t say that Nicky didn’t choose the twins.

I think there’s something truly poetic about Neil’s original position being a backliner, a defensive position, and then him switching to a striker, an offensive position. IE. him being in the run his entire life and hiding, to staying in one place and fighting for his life.

We all deserve more Nicky and Neil friendship content. Like they were actually really close in the books.

I want to see not only Neil opening up to Nicky, but Nicky opening up to Neil. Like they kinda fit together in a way that I feel like needs to be explored more often.

Neil is someone who grew up with a gruesome life and had his identity taken away from him and had to constantly change.

Nicky didn’t grow up with a gruesome past, he grew up very white picket fence suburbia. But he understands the way people don’t look close enough on the inside. He understands having to change because of other people, especially family. He understands wanting to hold on to family figures (the way Neil does with Mary).

Nicky and Neil are so interesting, and their dynamic would be so cool to look at. How they could deal with each other’s bad days. How they would deal with both their natural martyrdom.

How they try to convince each other that what happened wasn’t their fault. As both of them try to take the blame for what happened at thanksgiving.

Nicky, not imposing on Andrew and Neil’s relationship, but giving respectful advice as someone who was in Andrew’s life and seen his bad days. I never got when people made Nicky the main imposer on their relationship, out of everyone he would probably back off after a little.

I mean he understands what it’s like for people to judge your relationship without knowing what it’s like.

Someone: Neil is the only person who stayed with Andrew without expecting anything in return.

Nicky: SO I DONT EXIST.

No but seriously, Nicky did stay with the twins without wanting anything. In fact he gave up his life to be with them. Nicky may have pushed boundaries, and that wasn’t okay, but it wasn’t cause he expected to be hugged back. It was because that’s what he would have wanted, he didn’t understand Andrew at the time. we need to remember the book was told from Neil’s POV, he was able to understand Andrew in a way, but Andrew is actually a really complicated person that didn’t give himself away to people. Nicky not understanding him, is a pretty understandable thing.

Shut up, cause Nicky probably relates to Neil in so many ways. Like Nicky does the thing where he says he’s fine all the time and is all smiles the same way Neil does. Nicky had that same self sacrifice thing going on with him and the twins.

Nicky probably turns into a huge mentor figure for Neil, Nicky helps Neil figure out who he is. What clothes he likes to wear, what things he likes to eat. And Nickys there to help with his overall identity any way he can, because he knows what it feels like to not be able to be yourself.
