I’m new to tumblr in general and the wonderful world of whump, although I’ve been lurking as a blank blog for quite awhile. I’m autistic and have major social anxiety so this new social environment scares the shit out of me. Because of that it might be awhile before I actually post anything of my own but I’m making this post now so when the courage strikes I can just dive right in
The first whumpy memory I have is from a book my mom used to read to me as a literal infant so idk what that says about me, but this shit goes WAY back. I’ve been concocting whumpy stories in my head since I was like 10? I think. But I’ve always been too ashamed to write any of it down. I found this community last year and have been processing it’s existence ever since. Genuinely life changing. Still can’t get over it. My whole life I’ve been convinced I’m an actual monster for liking this stuff and honestly I’m still working through that. But I see all of you in this community and you are all SO FUCKING WONDERFUL! I can’t get over it! You are all so kind, supportive, encouraging and sensitive to each other in a way I’ve personally never seen before. Especially in online spaces. Even other spaces on tumblr. You all are (from my perspective) abnormally nice to each other and that’s SO refreshing and unexpected.

Even if I were to never post again (highly unlikely) you all have permanently changed my life and view of myself in ways I can’t even express in words. You’ve shaken me out of cycles of shame that have been negatively impacting my life as far back as I can remember. You’ve PROVEN to me, beyond a shadow of a doubt, that being into this stuff doesn’t make a person inherently evil LOL kinda obvious in retrospect, but life changing for me nonetheless. I can’t express the depth of my gratitude to/for you all. Just know I treasure every last one of you even if we never interact I’m keeping you all in a little treasure chest right next to my heart and never letting you go. its getting crowded in there, but at least you’re in good company
As for the actual blog content
I’m an artist so at some point I’ll probably start posting the whumpy, gorey, fucked up art I don’t usually show people.
I’m not a writer, but now I’m inspired to start. I have many, many, MANY stories and characters in my head I’ve been developing for years. It might take awhile for those to make it to paper, but in the meantime I’ll definitely be posting shorter stuff. Learning how to write whump and getting comfortable putting this kind of stuff out there
This is also going to be a somewhat personal blog so I’ll probably be posting whump adjacent personal stuff. I’m a Witch who works with Lilith, Eris, Sekhmet, and quite a few other dark entities and this blog is part of my shadow work with them so I fully expect that to come up (also why this post is abnormally personal ). Occult stuff especially surrounding pain, death, destruction and other scorpionic themes will come up here. And anger. that’ll be a big theme here too

Figured I should probably make one of these things. I’m a minor, so I refrain from using my real name on this platform, but you can call me Tabitha if you wanna refer to me. I’m currently questioning, so I’d like to be referred to by they/them for the moment, but know that that may change later. I’m mostly gonna write whump, possibly post the odd whumpy doodle, reblog whump writing and art, and generally be chill. Here’s a short little list of what you can expect from my writing and art.

I’m Rebecca, age 23, she/her, aroace. My main/personal blog is @aromothmantic. I’ve been intrigued by whump pretty much as long as I can remember. Learning that there was a whole online community full of people like me was incredibly validating!
All my life I’ve struggled with varying degrees of shame, guilt, and anxiety for enjoying whump. I’ve spent a lot of time wondering if there’s something wrong with me or if people would see me as monstrous/violent if they knew. It’s been tough the past few years, but lurking around on whump blogs has helped me feel less alone when I need it. I haven’t had a Tumblr account in close to 7 years but I decided to join again to connect more with this community.
Some of my favorite whump tropes are: kidnapping, lab/medical whump, torture, captivity, manhandling, restraints, memory loss (amnesia, brainwashing, etc.), and the glorious rescue/comfort/recovery that comes after all of it (and caretakers of course <3).
Not into: explicit NSFW things, minor whump, gore/body horror, pet whump/slavefic/BBU, amputation, character death (I’ll make an exception if there’s resurrection), and generally unhappy/hopeless endings. (No judgment for anyone who’s into those tropes, though! This is an anti-shame space.) The only one that’s really a hard no for me is minor whump.
I write a lot of OC whump but I’m not sure if I’ll be posting any here - I’m a very private writer. I love to read what the community comes up with, though! Y'all are so talented and creative.

I’ve been writing forever, but until recently the whumpier side of things just lived in my brain rent-free. I figured no one would be interested because it’s a little ‘out there’ for most people.
But I stumbled into the whump community here, and fell in love with the great writing people are producing. I thought I’d share some of what I have in case anyone would enjoy it as much as I’ve enjoyed seeing what others here have created. I find it cathartic to write even if it’s too much for many people.
To be clear, all scenarios present are fiction and I do not condone abuse of any kind in real life. (I think we’re all clear on that, but I want to be upfront).
That said, many of these stories will include graphic elements such as noncon, torture, general violence, detailed sexual scenes, and domestic abuse. Some stories may contain minors (I’m still debating that one).
All stories will be thoroughly tagged and placed under a read-more, so you should be safe to scroll. Just read the tags and be aware.
