With the same calm expression, Dracula states,“ And this is the wretched thing that has done the mischief. It is a foul bauble of man’s vanity. Away with it!” End ID.
I know in the novel he opens the window before yeeting the mirror into the courtyard, but I think this reaction is funnier.
Elves are highly adaptable to their local terrain, hence the differing characteristics of Wood Elves and Sea Elves. In more recent times this adaptability has given rise to newer Elf types such as Mall Elves, Cubicle Elves, Hardware Store Lighting Section Elves, Skate Park Elves, and Highway Elves.

Here’s my take on them. Are they really small as they hang off the lights? Are they people-sized and use featherweight magic? You decide. I kind of imagined the attire as a cross between circus costumes (acrobats) and sci-fi (electronic appliances) with a lot of jewelry/sequins to reflect all the lights. Eye pupils have to constrict a lot since they are in a bright environment. They don’t have to travel via swinging, but it’s very fun. Also shiny freckles!
I was trying to go for a dusk and dawn vibe but I guess it feels more like day and night (the left side of the dress is dark purple and the right side is peach, white, and light blue.) I should have just stuck to one because it lost me so much sleep, but I found really good sheer material for the puffy sleeves :

like… read the posts. are all your ships white gay dudes? are the people in your art all white? have you written fanfiction about a person of color? do you draw dark skinned people? have you ever drawn someone south asian? do you use aave to show you’re angry? is your black OC a sassy stereotype? do you post about wanting to live in a castle with your (white) vampire husband and his servants and not see a problem with it? or do you support cottegecore? do you only listen to white artists? are all your favorite actors white? can you even name a single middle eastern celebrity? do you refer to all modesty coverings as “hijabs?” do you pour hours of research into your favorite media and characters and yet don’t do the same for real life people and cultures, and instead inaccurately represent them? do you write about poc hoping you can get by on what knowledge you’ve managed to pick up here and there? do you read the links in the posts you reblog? do you use ambiguous race people for your poc edits instead of finding someone of that ethnicity? do you whitewash? does your favorite media contain racist caricatures? are you even critical of your favorite media? have you donated or do you just reblog for appearance? have you donated more to fanfiction sites than to gofundme’s? do you still support companies and brands after they’re outed as racist? is your activism performative? these are all questions you should ask yourself and i’m just reiterating points made in countless posts.
i feel like you shouldn’t get high and mighty if a person of colour isn’t able to speak/communicate in their native tongue and you can. whether you’re also a person of colour or you’re white (ESPECIALLY if you’re white). you don’t know that person’s situation or history when it comes to their native tongue, and it’s not your place to scorn them for not having the chance learn something integral to their personal culture.
This always bothered me but I just think maybe it would be better to be compassionate and understanding that not everyone can speak a certain language and it’s invasive to go “but you’re x! why cant you speak y???” shut up and just respect the person
It’s like they actively forget that most of our family were forced in to some form of assimilation or even generational trauma relating to out native tongue…
Being Asian on the internet is hard bc someone w a name like…IDK Akihiko or Jungkook interacts w my post and I gotta squint like…are you ACTUALLY Asian or are u white and racist and just totally unaware of the meaning and very specific racism Asian ppl receive abt our names.
9/10 times it’s the latter or like a kin thing or smth and it’s like…please I am begging u my Asian soul gets a bit shaved off every time I see a selfie of some “Ju-won” and they’re snow white.
