we have not talked nearly enough about stede jealously saying that jack has nice hair and olu immediately telling stede he has nice hair too. and while we’re at it, i just love the atmosphere stede has cultivated on his ship. the way olu casually slept on stede’s couch all night and sleepily talks to him, the way lucius wanders in and speaks with olu and then with stede - and the little comforting touches lucius always provides, to stede’s knee in this scene but also to stede’s chest when he’s impaled in the ship’s mast. they’re all very openly affectionate and complimentary of each other, including physically, and it is incredibly refreshing between male characters and i just love it so so much
I don’t think Lucius is dead. I think he’s living in the fucking walls. I think he’s found Stede’s emergency tea room and is dressing in his summer linens to pass the time. I think he’s alternating between pretending to haunt Ed but also nudge him into self care. I think Jim knows and shares knowing glances with the walls now. I think he moves Ed’s furniture 3 inches to the left every now and then but leaves him a glass of water too. Hear me out please
obsessed with the fact that I think there’s a solid chance ed had no idea wtf badminton was talking about when he confessed to the other badminton’s murder. like I don’t think they ever talked abt it on camera. so ed was just sitting in the brig and the british are like we’re investigating the murder of this guy and we think stede did it and ed’s like sure man I’ll cop to that one. zero discussion.
