This is just me but I also hope in season two that Izzy has a small backstory and continues to be the antagonist. I think we all notice how the villains in shows or movies often get sympathisized by some fans and honestly, it’s tiring. Like just let villains/ antagonist be the antagonist without having to excuse them. Yes, we can sympathize and understand why they’re the person of who they are now, but to go through such lengths to excuse their wrong-doings is a lot. Or go through such measures to want the antagonist a redemption arc like Zuko.
Like no, Izzy should lie in the bed that made for a while longer. I want to see him plot many downfalls on Stede just to fail in the end. I pray the revenge crew + Ivan & fang successfully throw his ass overboard. Or do a vicious evil laugh when stede and ed are fighting each other, he’s thinking ed put an end to stede but it’s the opposite. Instead, he watches ed just grab stede by his shirt and kiss him roughly because of how much he missed him and fall into a complete heartbreak.
It’s coming off as cruel towards izzy but the man brought it on himself when he didn’t disclose to stede that his boss was the legendary blackbeard. It was over from that point on.
I think what made the show more hilarious was how someone in the background would say a funny line or insult. I think it was Frenchie called izzy “Jizzy” and I had to pause from him speaking truth.

controversial opinion perhaps but i think ed and stede should kiss again. here is why

specifically i think they should get a chance to kiss when neither of them are surprised about it (which they both were i think the first time) and i think they should get a chance to kiss when it’s a deliberate choice. to be fair though i also think stede should get a chance to surprise ed by kissing him because that’s equality. also i think they should get to kiss enough times so that it can continue to be awkward but get better over time as they learn more about what they like and what they like together, which they deserve after so long of being told they can’t have what they like, and so we can have gifsets titled “ed and stede’s kisses getting better over time,” which we deserve just because we’re neat. let me know if there are any questions. thanks,
I love the idea of Ed as stepdad to Stede’s kids so much that I had a dream it was canon and it took me a solid 10 minutes after waking up to remember it wasn’t.
Listen, I have never before seen a more romantic moment in television than Edward “Blackbeard” Teach being forced onto his stomach next to Stede “the Gentleman Pirate” Bonnet as their pirate ship is captured by the British navy and as they lie there facing each other, smiling, Stede says “You came back.” And Ed responds with “Never left.” Before fucking WINKING at Stede while the Chain by Fleetwood Mac plays and Ed fucking reaches his foot over to touch Stede’s because both of their arms are tied behind their backs. I’ve never seen two people more in love, like what the fuck. Nothing will top this for me.
