Princess Vivi:

• (I’m a sucker for the Royalty/Regular ship so… I’m indulging myself)
• You’re a big part of rebuilding Alabasta and work closely with the royal family, meeting Vivi when she returned to the throne with her father
• She’s breathtaking, of course, she is, but it takes everything to keep yourself from looking like a fool in front of her. Even though you speak formally with her, your personality slips out and it makes her laugh, uh oh to your heart
• Even though she takes her princess duties seriously, there are moments where it’s very obvious that her time with the Straw Hats have stuck with her
• This, especially, when you are looking over plans to rebuild the hospital and the bluenette’s strands are hanging over the plans as she looks over your shoulder
• Princess Vivi’s genuine love for the people is what the crush starts off as but it’s the Vivi Nefertari part that really propels it into much more
• It’s when she sneaks out of the palace more and more that your hopes rise that she feels more for you too… until you crush your own hopes by reminding yourself that she is a princess
• You send others in your place for meetings with the royals and help more with the physical labor
• This goes on for too long until you get run over by Karoo. You’re faced with an angry duck and a teary princess, both glaring at you. She tries to demand an explanation from you but ends up venting her anger at you until she lets slip her own feelings
• Even in her flustered state, she uses her emotions to pull you close and kiss you, emotions on both ends high and it was what the two of you were waiting for
• Days don’t change much and they return to the way they were before but instead of the awkward and hesitant goodbyes, there are long embraces and promises of visiting the next day outside of rebuilding plans
• She doesn’t keep the relationship a secret so it isn’t long until you’re confronted by Chaka and Pell and brought to the castle. You both get lectured by Igaram about how a royal should be looking for another royal
• He’s just looking out for the princess but it’s not until the king gets involved that Igaram, begrudgingly, backs down
• The king doesn’t accept quickly, but not because you’re a commoner, it’s because he wants to do the parent thing of getting to know his daughter’s partner
• She has to be touching you in some way when you’re near. Subtle things. Sometimes she’ll smooth out your clothes or pick something out of your hair. Or she just holds your hand, hugs your arm, or hugs you when she’s less shy
• Even though she doesn’t care about the riches of royalty, she’s aware of the privilege she holds so she would try to help you if you were really struggling
• She likes being more independent after her adventures with the Straw Hats so she does whatever she can to help you out
• Surprisingly, gets jealous if you have others that have crushes on you. She gets more affectionate in front of others until you reassure her in private
• Kiss her forehead. Do it. You’ll see the usually confident princess flounder and hide her face
• Your relationship with the princess, however, has made the castle be on high alert since dates usually end up being with her sneaking out and going on rides through the desert with Karoo
