Symbol From the Past

Orochimaru x Reader

Synopsis: You had heard that Orochimaru was a part of the ANBU once upon a time, but it wasn’t until you saw him shirtless that you realized it was true.

A/n: btw, if this isn’t in fact canon, we are now making it canon on this blog. Because I fucking LOVE the ANBU…. Can you tell?!

You watched intently from the bed, eyes glued to his left arm as he moved through the room. You had heard the rumors all day long.

“Orochimaru’s new body didn’t erase his ANBU tattoo, that tattoo hasn’t been on his skin for years”

“The host body must be different from the others… He hates that tattoo, after all, it’s the first to go”

“I didn’t even know he was a part of the ANBU when he was in his twenties”

“I heard it was only a couple missions, but still, this just shows how strong he really is”

Those were only a few of the whispers you managed to hear, but it had your mind reeling and fingers itching regardless. “You’re staring” his cold tone snapped you out of your dreamy haze. Your eyes met his before casting to the ground beside the bed, he knew of the rumors and he had a faint idea of why you were looking at him in awe. It annoyed him. Annoyed him because he hated the damn tattoo that reminded him of his stupid compliance with the leaf. You left the village as well, so why did you want to be reminded of it?

“Can I see it?”

It was bold of you to ask, but it was even bolder of you to lock eyes with him. His breath hitched in his throat, as his mind tried to piece together what you just so shamelessly asked of him. You could have waited a couple minutes for him to take off his shirt, but you knew that he would put another one on to cover it up. You wanted to touch it, trace it, kiss it… There was something about that damn tattoo that had your mind reeling. Maybe it was the power it symbolized? The incredible strength that it takes for one to proudly bear it? You didn’t know what it was, but all you knew was that you wanted to desperately see it.

Orochimaru let out a deep sigh, there was no way around this… “Fine. But just this once” he muttered out, fully knowing that once you caught sight of the tattoo he would never be allowed to wear a shirt around you again. You perched higher on the bed, grin widening as you watched him slowly undress. His left arm was facing away from you as if he was teasing you for as long as possible.

“Maru” you whined out, head cocking to the side as a pout graced your lips. A sly smirk grew on his face before finally turning to face you fully. You moved your head to try and get a peek but he covered it with his right hand, cooing at you for being so impatient. Your pout soon turned into a deep frown, eyes taking the form of “puppy dog eyes” in the hopes that your cuteness would encourage him to give you what you wanted.

Slowly, Orochimaru moved to the side of the bed, his left hand moving to cup your chin. His right still hid the tattoo on his left bicep but just him being closer calmed your anxiousness and nerves. “Why do you wish to see such a thing? Don’t you hate the symbol?”

Your eyebrows crinkled in confusion, eyes snapping up to meet his cold glare. Your right hand subconsciously touched his left hand before moving it up his arm until it rested on top of his right hand. “I guess I hate the symbol… But I would die from happiness if I saw it on your skin…” your words died off as you pulled his hand away, revealing the red tattoo that lay proudly on his pale skin.

“So pretty” you whispered out, a smile ghosting your lips as you faintly traced the simplistic shape. Orochimaru pursed his lip as you craned your neck to get a better look, eyes dazzling in the candle light as you cooed out praises of how pretty he was. He didn’t like his time on the team, he didn’t like wearing the stupid tattoo, but this moment had his mind spinning.

Orochimaru shifted slightly to give you a better angle and smirked at the excited squeal that fell from your lips. Your fingers grasped tightly onto his bicep before you pulled him over your body. He fell beside you, grunting as you manhandled him into a position where you were practically on top of him. “Y/n” his warning fell on deaf ears as you straddled his waist. His black hair splayed out on the pillow below and if you weren’t so entranced with the red ink on his milky skin, you would have commented on how pretty he looked right now.

You lowered your head to get a better look at the tattoo, heart beating faster as you traced it again and again with your eyes. Orochimaru opened his mouth once more to announce he had enough, but your sweet lips touching the mark stopped him in his tracks. The kisses didn’t feel real at first as you tried to appease the beast below you, but soon you forgot about him and began peppering kisses all over him.

“I know you hate this tattoo, and I do as well… But I love how it looks on your arm. It’s just another reminder as to why I feel safe around you” You purred out, resting your head on his chest as you looked up at him dreamily. His yellow eyes were wide and you noticed the range of emotions that were swimming in them. Disbelief. Confusion.

Love.

Deciding to not press your luck, you slid off of his body and laid beside him. The sound of his heartbeat resonated in your ears as you let your eyes droop sleepily. It didn’t take long before you had fallen asleep curled into his side, but Orochimaru was far too full of emotions to even think of sleep. Maybe he’d keep his shirt off around you from now on… Maybe he’d ensure that the tattoo carried over to the next vessel as well. If it meant you were happy, then he’d do anything for you.

Even if it meant bearing that stupid tatttoo.

Not Wanted (Part 3)

Orochimaru x Reader x Jiraiya (Love triangle)

Synopsis: Just like Tsunade, you were obsessed with Orochimaru… But the pale Ninja made it clear you were not wanted, so why did it bug him when you grew closer to Jiraiya?

Part 1Part 2Part 3

A/n: Are y'all ready for some, ahem, jealous and handsy Orochimaru?? Well, if you aren’t, I suggest you do get ready.

The snake sannin didn’t seem to acknowledge you as the four of you traveled to a nearby city. Your brother had instructed for the three shinobis to be your guards, but you felt a little silly having anyone but Jiraiya beside you. Currently, you were perched under a tree as the sun began to set, your three ‘body guards’ deciding that it was time to rest for the night. Tsunade made pleasant conversation with you, but you didn’t pay attention to her as you felt Jiraiya sit beside you. You tried to keep your mind focused on her words but felt the white-haired man’s hand take yours. Your eyebrows shot up in confusion and Tsunade fell silent at the sight, “So you finally got the balls to ask her out huh?” she teased finally, lip curling up in a knowing smile at your shy demeanor.

“Don’t worry, we knew he was in love with you a long time ago-”

“Shut it Tsunade!”

“C'mon!!! You can’t deny that you’ve been helplessly in love with her since you were kids-”

“Tsunade!!!!”

ENOUGH

You jumped at the sharp scream coming from Orochimaru across the fire. His eyes were dark, the only thing illuminating them was the fire before him, but even that wasn’t enough. You leaned into Jiraiya’s side, eyebrows furrowing as you tried your best to avert your gaze from Orochimaru’s angry ones, but it was hard to look away.

“Well this got weird” You muttered out, curling more into Jiraiya’s side for comfort. “It’s not her fault that she doesn’t like you Orochimaru” Tsunade hissed out, “You did leave her in a forest after all-”

Orochimaru stood swiftly from his spot, cloak flowing around him as he stormed away from you three. You looked up at Jiraiya, expecting him to be looking after Orochimaru but he instead had his eyes on you. Blushing, you turned your head back to Tsunade, “I don’t think that was very kind to say Nade” you scolded quietly. Her eyes shot to yours, face filled with shock as you stood from the forest floor.

“Don’t tell me you’re gonna chase after him?” Tsunade called out, completely in shock at your reaction towards the raven-haired man. Your eyebrows furrowed in confusion at her, was she insinuating that you couldn’t be trusted alone with him? “No, it’s the right thing to do” Jiraiya’s voice was one you didn’t expect to hear, but you were thankful to be with someone so like-minded as yourself.

“Thank you” you whispered out, leaning down to capture his lips in yours. Tsunade scoffed at the two of you before mumbling out a 'whatever’, it wasn’t like Orochimaru deserved anything from you. You ignored her of course as you walked in the direction that Orochimaru had stormed off to. You’d make things right, you were sure of it.

It felt like an hour had passed before you found him by the river. “Oro?” You called out, silently hoping that he wouldn’t be as upset anymore now that he had time to cool down. “Go away” he snapped back, confirming that he had not cooled down but you ignored that nagging feeling anyway and walked towards him. Sitting beside him, you cast a glance his way and inhaled sharply at the sight. The moon shone down on his face, causing his golden eyes to glow in the darkness.

He was breathtakingly beautiful.

“You’re acting like a child you know” you giggled out, hoping to cut the tension down before it cut you instead. His golden eyes snapped to your face, malice residing in them as he leaned closer to you. “Do you know why I left you?”

“You hoped I would die” you answered sheepishly, knowing just how much the raven-haired man before you hated your guts. “No. It’s because I was losing my cool around you. I hate how vulnerable you make me feel. I hate you for that” Your breath was caught in your lungs, not daring to come out as Orochimaru came closer and closer to your face. “I hate that I love you” he snarled out, right then, his lips attached to yours. Your eyes widened in shock as you moved your lips against his, this is what you wanted, but why did it feel so bad?

Why was this wrong again?

“I should have known better” Jiraiya called out, causing you two to part from the kiss. Your eyes were frantic as you stumbled on your words and feet to get to him. He turned his back to you, you tried to chase after him as he escaped into the forest, but a slender hand clasped around your wrist.

“No, he doenst deserve you-”

“Neither do you!!!” You screamed out to him before ripping your hand away and running after Jiraiya. You had fucked up big time, you just hoped you could get to Jiraiya before it was too late.

Guide Me

Orochimaru x Reader

Synopsis: Attached to his side, you never had to worry about getting lost. But once you were alone did you notice the absence of Orochimaru both physically and mentally.

A/n: Angst will forever be my favorite. Also, the song is the reader’s obsession with him, bad and good. This is also not a healthy relationship, I’ve been in one of these before and it was terrible. Just saying.

Song: Follow You by Imagine Dragons https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RcWOWgy86o8

You gripped the wall beside you, fever causing your world to spin as you stumbled through the hall. Your whole body ached, both from the sickness in your bones to the sickness in your heart. Orochimaru hasn’t come to see you in days, and while Kabuto had alerted him of your condition, he still never came to visit you. That was what caused the painful pang in your heart.

“He doesn’t care about you” you whispered to yourself as you continued further down the hall, hoping that this route was the right one to get to the lab. Orochimaru hadn’t seen you in days, and you thought it was about time to visit him yourself. The only issue?

You were sick, dazed, confused, and heartbroken… Not a healthy mix.

You also almost always got lost in the winding halls without him by your side. Why did you care about him anyway? He did nothing but make you feel worthless… But then he’d look at you a certain way and all of that would melt away. Rounding the corner, you found the double doors leading to the lab. An exasperated sigh flew from your lips as you finally let your body relax, causing you to slide down the wall with angst filling your every pore.

“I’m so dumb for this” you murmured out, eyes casting to the ground as you felt the tears well up and fall down your sweaty cheeks. “What on earth are you doing out of bed?!”

Your head snapped up to Orochimaru as he knelt down swiftly to your side, cold hand coming up to cradle your flushed face. You groaned out in relief as his frigid skin seemed to cool down your body significantly, “I wanted to see you” you croaked out pathetically, mind once again forgetting all of the pain he had put you through. He sighed deeply before standing swiftly, hand grasping yours as he hauled you from the cold floor.

“There’s a reason I stayed away darling. You needed rest” he whispered out, his arm snaking around your waist to grip you tightly against his side. “B-but… I wanted to see you” you whimpered out quietly, tears silently falling as you leaned into his cold embrace. Orochimaru began walking once more, dragging you alongside him as he navigated you two back to your shared room.

He didn’t comment on your words or tears, nor did he feel any remorse for either of them. He cared for you in a different way, one that you didn’t understand yet. However, he knew that your sick body and mind couldn’t handle the truth that he simply didn’t want to see you, so instead, he stayed quiet.

And hoped that both your fever and obsession would fade soon.
