I’m working on some sprite edits at the moment and I put together this comparison of Akechi’s character portraits for the first two thirds of the game vs the third semester when, as someone put it in an AO3 tag I saw recently, he “has no interest in being polite or heterosexual”, which I think about sums it up.

I really like how in general his expressions in the second set are more muted, emphasising that he was playing up and overacting previously. The third semester ones feel more honest. And, y’know, snarky.
